John felt very glad to see how she responded to his kiss. He thought that she would approve Lucas's feelings and the mere thought of it scared the shit out of him. Now that she is close to him and elucidated that she didn't have any such feelings towards him, he felt relieved.

They withdrew from each other after the intimate kissing, their lips still parted to catch their breaths and looked into each other's eyes, trying to confirm if the past few seconds were true or not. Feeling their hearts still beating vigorously, they realized that everything happened was tangible.

After they had caught sufficient breath, John once again pulled her close into his tight embrace and crashed his lips into hers, this time more passionately and more gently. Lizzie once again submitted herself to him, mashing herself against him.

He took her lower lip in between his and sucked them which made her sigh and this was plentiful for him to jab his tongue into her mouth. He explored her interior winning a moan from her. Lizzie felt so desirable that she couldn't repress her moans.

They yearned more and more that none of them wanted to halt what they were doing. Both continued their passionate movement until they were left with no breath again.

They pulled themselves back unwillingly only due to their imperceptible enemy, breath. His forehead was pressed on hers and his hands were still on her cheeks, fondling them.

Lizzie averted her gaze in shame that she could not hold herself back. John found her very cute and sensual at the same time.

He held her hands and started speaking "Lizzie, I know I am dumb not to realize my feelings for you sooner. But now I am sure what I want. I want you, Lizzie. I want only you. Your presence makes me crazy, your absence makes me insane. I don't know what to say. I just know that I love you, Lizzie." he let out all the utterances and emotions, he had been hiding in himself and dying to tell her since the previous day.

The sudden confession made her look at him, straight into eyes that were reflecting his heart and words. The fervour in his hazel eyes gave her the surety. He saw tears trickling down her cheeks and he couldn't help but panic.

"Why are you crying? If you don't want this with me, you can just tell me-"

"Shhhh!" she said shutting his lips with her forefinger making him magnify his eyes.

"I did not realise what I feel for you until you confided your feelings to me. I am very thankful you did that because it made me know what I wanted to hear from you. I love you, John. I love you." she told him with her heart and soul, her gaze unaltered from his eyes.

John was surprised to hear this as he did not expect her to return the feelings this soon.

"Really!?"

"Yes John I love you too," Lizzie said before chuckling.

He thought it would take some time for him to win her heart but to his wonder, she already loved him.

He felt so happy that he smiled dazzlingly. She always knew he was handsome but this time it was different, he was incredibly more handsome that she wanted that smile only to herself. She didn't want anyone to see that beauty.

They embraced each other tightly and John kissed her on the top of her head. Later they went back to the party.

Lizzie still had to answer Lucas and tell him that she likes someone else and that someone else is John. She knew it would hurt him but they should face it today or tomorrow.

.....

In a dark corner, sitting on the floor, hugging her knees, burying her face in the legs, the heartbroken girl was crying her eyes out. Her heart was agonizing, her yearnings were shattered, her eyes bulged with the tears that won't stop from being trickled down.

When Bella heard Lucas's words, she was not able to accept the actuality and ran away. She sprinted through the multitude towards where ever her legs led, far away from the echo of his words.

She always believed Lucas was the one for her. She thought he liked her too. But she didn't know that it was just her thought, it was just a dream that would be gone once woke up.

She clenched her dress above her chest and winced in grief. 'I want to forget him.' she cried inside 'Just get out of my mind.' she struggled to erase him from her thoughts, from her life, but only experienced more pain.

She wiped her tears attempting to be strong and left for home. Staying back would only put her into more misery.

It was dark outside as the clouds occupied the sky leaving no space for the moon to show its delight. She decided to walk home to give herself some more time to process the reality and tell herself to move on.

After a long thirty minutes of heavy steps, she reached her home. She barely managed to pull herself together as she didn't want to trouble her grandmother.

Bella lost her parents to an accident at the age of five. They both were doctors who aced their profession. They were also very kind-hearted and treated many people for free who could not afford the fees.

After losing her parents, Bella started living with her grandmother. The accident influenced her not in a positive way and having no friends later, she gradually became an introvert. That is the reason why she is so shy around people.

When she entered the home she saw her grandmother watching TV. Putting a smile on her face, she asserted "Granny, I am home."

"Oh, Bella why are home so early?"

"I couldn't be at the party for too long. I have a headache," she said coming up with an excuse.

"Is it? Then go have some rest." Mrs Collins said with concern.

"Okay, granny," Bella replied nodding her head and went to her room.

As soon she closed the door, she fell on her knees and leaned against the door. She wailed silently, being careful about her grandmother listening to her.

That night the distress consumed her and she nodded off on the floor.
