Out of my mind

I am breaking inside, dying a million times. I cried hard till I couldn't. My cry choked in my throat.

With my quivering knees, I managed to stand up on my feet. Some of the pieces of broken glass were stuck in my hair. I look like a chic from a horror movie.

I leaned against the wall. Why does it hurt so much? I stab my fingers through my hair rapidly.

I am losing my mind.

Was I too late William?

Maybe It's all my fault. William told me his name and where he is from because he wanted me to find him. But I couldn't find him in time, and I gave Brittany the chance to snatch him away from me.

Now she is about to marry him and make him hers forever.

"Brittany" I whispered against my lips. She has everything my parent's affection, all the achievements I could ever dream of. She got our mom's looks she could have any guy she wants in the world but she decided to steal William from me. The only man I want the only man I needed so much like my basic need for oxygen.

Maybe isn't her fault. I should have told her about William maybe she....

I paused. If Brittany had known William is mine would she have made him hers?

The answer is no.

I traveled down memory lane.

Brittany stole my first love, Adam when I was 16. The first boy I kissed.

He was mine until he saw Brittany and she took him away from me.

She brought him home and introduce him as her boyfriend and pretended she didn't know he was the boy I told her about.

The next day she bought me expensive ballet shoes to compensate me after stealing my boyfriend and pretended it was just her being kind to me.

If she knew I was in love with William that wouldn't have stopped her.

She has stolen William. The same way she stole Adam from me years ago.

A cord in my brain snapped. Pure irksome rage is pumping in my bloodstream, steaming in my veins I bend over and a took a large piece of glass on the floor.

I walked out of the room like a mad woman and matched into Brittany's room.

I drink in the perfection of her room.

My perfect sister with her perfect room.

She is always playing the saint but she keeps stealing the boys I love!

I am going to expose her for the bitch she is!

She is a two-face lying snake!

I went over her mini bar housing fine expensive wines.

I pushed them to the floor into pieces and they smashed as wine flowed into her Polish marble floor creating a big pool of red wine that looks dark like blood, tarnishing how spotless the floor was before I brought in chaos.

Doing that I felt I am staining her perfect room with my blood because I am bleeding inside and it was her fault. She was holding the dagger that is piercing into my heart.

I squeeze the piece of glass in my hand. It cut deep into the flesh of my palm.

I whimpered in pain. I love the pain. It's replacing the crippling pain inside.

I place the glass in my other hand and wrapped my fingers around it tightly till it drew blood.

Blood was trickling down to the floor from both of my palms.

My hands were bloody as I proceeded to spread them on her white comforter dragging my bleeding hands over it and painting, and tainting it with my blood.

I turned my attention to the pillow.

I imprinted my bloody hands over the pillows.

I started slashing them with broken glass in my hand. Every strike of my hand welcomes pain but I felt numb I could only feel fury.

"I hate you!" I screamed as I continue to stab the pillow. I am imagining it was her perfect stupid face I was stabbing.

I pretend it was her dirty lips I was stabbing violently, the lips she used to kiss my William.

I smiled as I studied the beautiful mess I have inflicted in Brittany's room. Now everyone can see who she truly is. The imperfect person she is inside.

But I wasn't satisfied. I wanted to do more damage.

So I pop two remaining wine bottles open and entered her closet.

I poured the wine all over her clothes painting them red. Still I wasn't satisfied.

I went for other bottle.

I sprayed the other bottle all over the shoes in the closet and no shoe was spared. She won't have any to wear tomorrow.

I smashed the empty bottles into the wall. And the largest piece remained in my hand.

The door pushed open.

"Oh my God! Adeline!" Brittany screamed.

The bitch who stole my William is here.

I stared at her with immense hatred boiling in my blood and stared back at the piece of broken bottle in my hand.

I am going to teach her a lesson. She is going to regret stealing William from me.

I jaunted near her gripping firmly on the sharp piece of glass with my eyes darkened. My blood trickle to the floor with every step I take leaving a bloody trail.

Brittany gasped in fear when she stared straight into my eyes which were blinded with a ferocity of madness.

She backed against the door. I circled her like a predator hunting a prey.

"Please" She whispered. Her frightened eyes were coruscated with tears. When I finally caught up with her and I cornered her.

I plastered my left hand on the door, above her head.

She shivered with whimpers when I press the broken glass in my right hand on her chest. The contact of the glass on her skin welcomed blood

She rakes of tremendous intensity of fear and it keeps triggering something dark in me. Her fear makes me feel powerful.

I slowly drag the broken glass along her skin. She shudders against it.

She let out a scream when I suddenly raised the glass and aimed for her chest.
