I'm obsessed: can't remember to forget him

I snapped out of the illusion of Brittany knowing my William and stride out of the gym, heading to my room.

I haven't spent time alone with William today. Got to say hi to him.

When I got to my room I walked into my built-in closet.

I pressed a small switch. hidden inside my closet.

The closet slides to the left revealing a door to a secret room.

This mansion has a lot of secret rooms. There are still more we are yet to discover.

This mansion belongs to my late grandmother, my dad's Mom. It was a wedding gift from my grandfather to her. But my grandparents never stayed here. My grandma didn't like the mansion. It was so grand for her taste. When my dad and mom got married. They renovated the mansion and it has been our home since then.

I opened the doorknob and walked into the room.

This has been my secret lair ever since I was a kid. And no one knows about this room not even my mom.

Whenever I want to have a quiet time alone away from my family I just come in here.

I remember when I was 12. I sneak in here and spend the whole day because I had a big fight with Brittany and my mom took Brittany's side even though it was her fault.

My parents got so worried. They called the cops. They thought I was missing.

I came out of the room the next day when I ran out of snacks.

And when they questioned where I had been the whole time. I lied to them I was hiding in the basement to keep this room a secret.

I closed the door behind me. There was another switch attached to the door. I pressed it.

I heard a rambling sound. The closet has slid back to its formal position hiding the secret door.

I switched on the bulb lighting up the room.

My bathroom is three times bigger than this room.

The room has a small bed with an armchair.

A mini-fridge containing my favorite snacks was situated beside the armchair

This room was once my private dance studio two years ago before I got injured and couldn't dance anymore.

I turned my attention to the dressing mirror adorned with sketches of William, the love of my life,

I went back to the beach the next day hoping I would find him. But he didn't show up.

I kept going to the same place I met him every day till our vacation was over and Brittany and I returned to New York

I didn't give up. I knew he wanted me to find him that's why he gave me only his name and where he was from.

I know he wants me to prove how much I love him by showing him the lengths I could go to just to find him.

Immediately we returned. I contacted a friend of mine who is a sketch artist. He works with the NYPD, the New York Police Department.

With my vivid description of William, he sketched him and it was a perfect clone of his face.

Then my search for William on social media began. I made a friend who is an influencer to plaster the sketches of William on all her social media accounts in hopes someone might recognize him.

But so far it has been infertile.

But I won't give up.

I have this big hope that I will find him very soon. because we are destined to be together.

I pulled the dresser chair and sat down.

I smiled drooling over the sketches of William adorned all over the mirror.

There were also colored versions of his sketches in picture frames sitting on top of the dresser with rose petals and red-scented candles surrounding them.

I have built an altar for him to worship him every day as the beautiful God he is.

Because he is my God, the reason why I feel alive, every day.

I picked up a lighter and lightened all the candles.

I got up and switched off the bulb.

The fuzzy glow light from the candles illuminated the room giving that beautiful romantic feeling I was aiming for.

I went back to the dresser.

I picked a picture frame of William and kissed it.

"I love you," I said and placed the picture frame on my chest.

It has been a ritual I have been doing for two years now.

I come in here to kiss him every day and tell him I love him.

He has become a fixed star in my universe. Meeting William was fate but falling in love with him is beyond my control.

I can't help but fall in love with him as every day goes by.

Then I fall asleep dreaming of him making love to me on the beach every night.

I touched my lips and I gasped.

The memory of our kiss flashed in my mind and it was like I was reliving that moment.

I miss the feel of his lips on mine.

My phone suddenly beeps breaking my daydream

I placed the picture frame back and picked up my phone.

I gasped getting up on my feet.

It was a text from Harper, my friend who is the influencer helping me find William.

The message reads: His name is William Carter, and he is a lawyer.

His email was attached to it.

My heart prances a beat in my chest.

I brought my hand to my mouth and back against the wall. I pressed my phone to my chest.

"Oh my God! I have finally found him!" I cried out with joy.

I picked up the picture frame again and whispered to it

"William Carter, I found you, my love. We will be together very soon.
