His voice sounded soft and his jaw dropped owing to his disbelief. He was shocked out of his wits to learn that the person who'd just spoken to him and who was at the other end of the receiver was Jake.

It took a huge amount of determination to refrain himself from shouting just now.

''How's it possible? I mean, you having my number.'' 

His tone became giddy all of a sudden and his insides welled up with strongly intimate desires. His cup overflowed with joy and a bewildered smile pushed up the muscles of his cheeks.

''But for real though, how did you get my number? But firstly, are you doing okay? You've been discharged right? What about Jason? Are you two safe and well?''

''Yes, Kai.'' Jake's voice pulled softly in his ears. ''Me and Jason, we're both doing great.''
