For some reason, it's black outside.
"Miss the movers have come."
Marguerite looks at Lola and stands up to go to the garden while the movers finish their work. Today she is going to the grand palace. Alphonse specifically chose her to sleep in the room next to his, as if shouting to the world that he will make her his queen.
"Why is it still night?"
All the maids are assembled at the garden for sky-viewing with her. Some propose that we go to the queen's chambers immediately, but Marguerite refuses. She doesn't want to become queen, and she doesn't want to marry Alphonse. All she wants is to find Edward and leave.
"The moon sleeps at this time of the year. It will be like this for a few months."
