Marguerite wakes up at the break of dawn, disoriented and blinded by the sunlight she hasn't seen in so long. She wants to speak but her voice won't come out, instead a croak like that of a dying crow comes out and alerts the servants outside.
How long was she asleep? It feels like her vocal chords haven't been used in forever!
Soon the figure of a man walks in. It's Armel.
"You're awake, at last."
He opens his arms wide and goes to hug her, but she pushes him away.
"Where are we?"
The sound of her own voice startles her, is this really her? She sounds like she came back from the dead.
Armel smiles and silently orders a maid to serve water with a stern expression. These servants are still too scared of Brennus and don't dare approach her, which is why no one has yet to serve any drinks or refreshments to the dehydrated Marguerite.
"This is my palace."
Turning back to Marguerite's inquiring face, his smile returns.
