How Long is this going to take, is he pulling my leg. I've been here for two hours and the sun is about to go down. Does he not know that I have to meet with Dawn in a while. Working behind the table is an easy job, the customers tell me their name or point out the item they want; where I would collect the money and the item they needed. It may be an easy job, it sure is boring though.

Shortly later I felt a poke on my shoulder when I turned around to my surprise Lauren was there.

" What are you doing here," I said as I shooed away the next customer.

" They closed, and isn't that rude," she pointed at the irritated man walking away.

" Don't worry about him. That damn asshole was supposed to be here over an hour ago," as I leaned against the weapons table.

" You mean Lumin, he gave me this earlier telling me to give it to you your I.D after my shift," she showed me a laminated card with my name, height,...weight, and my job information. The photo was of me scowling a customer was trying to haggle down the price way more than what the bottom line said on the info sheet.

" He never came back, I've been standing here dealing with these people," letting out a sigh I began taking the weapons and trinkets off the table and putting them in a trunk under the table, " let me see you I.D."

" Oh, look!" She pulled the piece of plastic out of her pocket showing me it. The picture was of her kneading dough with the flower on her cheek.

" He got you too. But he got a cute picture while you can see my wrinkled up face," I held the thing up to my face looking at the weight column, I burst out laughing, failing to control myself.

" When did you gain so much weight? Maybe I should rethink being with you?," I said as I pocked her puffy side. She wasn't by any means, she wasn't skinny either. How'd they find out our weight? You know what, I don't want to know.

" That's none of your business," Lauren took the card from my hands and swiftly walked in the direction of the headquarters building.

" Wait, Wait!" I ran after Lauren with my less than pleasing speed. I tripped over my feet stumbling, ultimately landing directly on face.

The people walked past me seeming to not care. I tried to get up, however, I fell back down leaving myself in pain. My ankle was twisted in an unnatural angle, just my luck. A man who looked to be fat, not quite though, came up to me asking if I needed help. He looked familiar, I couldn't see Lauren anywhere so I accepted.

Sure, I was head over to Dawn," I said the last line, in case the guy had any ideas, which I think he did due to the contemplating look he had.

" Are you talking about Commander Dawn; the leader of our group," as he supported me with one arm.

Yeah, thank you for helping me," for a brief second I could see disappointment flash across his eyes. What a pervert, looking at someone so young with lusty thoughts... pedophile.

He helped me to the door to the building I was head to, I bid farewell while the chubby dude mumbles something as he walked away. I hoped through the building taking over double the time it would take to make it to Dawn's office. The worst part was me having to hop up steps, taking multiple breaks along the way.

I knocked three times in quick succession. The door opened and I saw my mother looking down at me, the bags under her eyes taking on a purple shade. My sister, clinging onto her leg.

" My God, what happened to you?" she took me by the arm and dragged me into the room, causing waves of pain to shoot from my ankle.

"Ah, stop. My leg hurts," I panted as she set me in one of the chairs.

" Lauren, I thought you said she was right behind you. How did this happen?" My mother was hysterical, more than she should be.

" Its okay mom, I fell while running, don't worry," I said while patting her back she was sobbing.

" Sorry Sera, I didn't think you would get hurt. I was upset so..." she wasn't crying like mom was, but she was remorseful.

" It's no big deal, I just twisted my ankle and fell in onto the dirt," I said patting moms head and smiling at Lauren.

" Okay, Dawn, what don't we get started," trying to change the conversation topic.

" Yeah, here are the clothes, you girls will wear," she pulled small white boxes out off of the desk handing one to everyone, " I'll call Clarence over so he can heal your wound. Take a bath as well."

" yay! Bath," Raelith who was quiet most of the time comforting mother.

" Raelith, you already had a bath. You don't need one," Abigail patted her head.

We ended up deciding that we would all go together since the shower room here was big enough for all of us. Clarence wasn't long, when he arrived he looked at my ankle, said a few incomprehensible terms, and with a flick of his wrist I was healed; albeit with some flashing colors.

We went to the shower, the warm water was nice, it'll never get old; the sensation of warm water seeping into your core. I looked at my body to see bruises that were still there from earlier, I guess he has to focus on the area he wants to heal. People are so mean, you don't just shove and elbow someone who is trying to get through a crowd. We chatted some more before getting dressed in our new clothes.

I wore a light pink floral dress, it matched me well shoeing off my legs. My mom wore a light blue shirt with light brown pants. My sister wore the same dress as me, but much smaller than me, of course. Lastly, Lauren wore a black silk dress shirt with a skirt. We all wore footwear to match our respective outfits.

Dawn lead us to the entrance of the building, I felt butterflies in my chest. It felt like the excitement you get right before the opening of a play. We made our way outside, I thought there would be people waiting outside for us, but we had to walk clear across town.

There was a platform built upon a square that was surrounded by houses, we walked up the stairs on one side. Dawn told us to wait before going up the stage since we still had to wait thirty minutes for everybody in the town to show up.

We talked amongst ourselves until the time came to make our appearance, Dawn walked with us.

" I'm proud to say that we have fulfilled our goal. We have brought in the Yeong's ability user. Say hi," her voice reached every end of the square as she spoke into a microphone, she gestured for us to walk up to the front with her. We walked up to the front where four more wired mikes were set up.

" Hi, my name is Lauren," Lauren said blushing from embarrassment.

" Heyyyyy! I'm Raelith, nice to me Youuuuu!" Raelith was jumping up and down on the spot.

" My turn now, My name is Sera. If any of you make any moves on my girlfriend, Lauren, I'll teach you a lesson," I gave the crowd a stern glare, getting my point across. I could tell Lauren felt sorry, so I gave her some reassurance.

" I'm Abigail and these two girls are my daughters. I'm sorry if they made you feel uncomfortable. Thanks for your understanding," the tiredness was nowhere to be seen in her voice. She wore a fake smile that never reached her eyes as she bowed toward the crowd.

" They will be joining our group," there were some applause and equal boo's," Now, now. Sera your ability has yet to be named. There might be a name in the clan, but not in the outside world. Would you like to name it?"

I had to think about what would be the best name for my powers. I spent a whole twenty seconds in though: " Sunrise. I name this ability Sunrise."

" Good name, you can bring peoples potential out as the sun rises into the sky," Dawn scrutinized the name in her mind, she soon bore a bright smile on her face.

The crowd liked the name, clapping that resounded all around us.

" Now, let the celebration begin!" the crowd roared before festive lights turned on throughout the city. Stalls had food laid out, selling goods here and there.

I didn't know a festival was going to be going on, I turned towards Lauren who was unsurprised and My mother who wore the same expression. They knew and they didn't tell me.

" Sister, come. Lets playyyyy!" Raelith trying to drag me by the hand.

We left as a group, shuffling into the crowd. There were many different types of food, I found some skewer's covered in honey. They were better than I thought, The savory meat with the sweetness of honey.mmm.

The festival was too loud and the crowded streets did not help any. Raelith looked like a chubby Lil pig, all the food she stuffed herself with which probably contributed. Abigail took her home walking slowly so Raelith wouldn't hurl.

I took Lauren by the hand walking to the edge of the crowd trying to leave.

" Do you want to find a place with fewer people?" I asked looking over my shoulder.

" Yeah, I was being polite to your sister and mother earlier. You know how I am," Lauren caught up walking by my side.

The colored lights were beautiful coupling it with the starry night sky. Where are we anyway, I've never seen some many stars in the sky. The light pollution and other things that I may not know but are there.

by the time I looked down, we were in a part of the town where not many people were. The ones who did see them just stared. We found a bench to sit down on where we sat admiring the sight.

" Don't you want to go back to your parents?" I never left my gaze from the sky.

* Lauren

" ...I do miss them, they're my parents. You may have not noticed, but my parents were never as close to me as yours are to you. They got me whatever I wanted whenever I wanted, never did I receive their loving smiles only scowls. If I had to choose between you and them, I would choose you. As I do miss them, you hold a bigger place in my heart. I want to be with you till the end; if that will lead to my death earlier than it would have, or we'll live peacefully. I-mhm," I stared up at the sky just as Sera did.

I meant for my response to be light heated; my heart spilled out of my chest once I started growing hotter and hotter as I let my feelings bubble to the surface. Sera interrupted me by putting her lips on mine, I was surprised at first. I opened my eyes to see Sera with tears in her closed eyes, her face bright red. With our lips locked, tongues dancing, we sat there. Only thinking of each other.

I'm in love, even if this girl is an idiot. I'll cherish her for the rest of my life. Already thinking of marriage, maybe I am the idiot. We have to wait until we're older, I think? I should look into that. Oh, back to the kissing.

Someone bumped into Sera, making the both of us fall when we parted we noticed the people had shifted to this side of the district, which was now full. I yelped, seeing the stares, some lustful while others in disdain. I grabbed Sera and we scurried off, making our way home.

" How did we not notice?" Sera faced my direction.

"Is it not obvious, you put your tongue down my throat, and before I was done speaking might I add," I said with a devilish grin, " Now let's get home, I'm tired anyway."

"Yeah, today has been a hard day. Where's your house?" Sera said.

" Same as where you live," I said giving her 'are you stupid' look.

" Oh, okay," Sera said in ignorance to my stare. When we got back Sera was surprised when I went into her room.

" Don't you have your own room? Why are you sleeping with me? ...I don't mind though," She said as she undressed herself leaving her clothes scattered on the floor, which I picked up after her as I changed as well.

" We're lovers, so I told them to set up only one room. And I'm the one who changed you this morning," I said with a cheeky smile.

I jumped into bed, we continued where we left off. We were so rudely interrupted.
