Assassination

As the sun rises, in a private hospital ward there is an injured man who is still recovering from his injuries. He woke up and looks at the white ceiling of his ward, suddenly there was a knock on his ward door. A man in a suit came in "Good Morning, my boss has instructed me to take of you. Here are some chicken porridge and hot water. Enjoy your meal, don't waste it". Said the bodyguard. The man realizes that yesterday was not a dream, the girl offered to help him and at the same time dissed at him.

After finishing his breakfast, there was a commotion outside of his ward. A bodyguard came in and notified him that his relative has come to visit him and ask whether he wanted to meet them. He nodded his head, and the bodyguard allowed the relative to enter.

"We have been so worried when we receive news that you got admitted to the hospital," said the aunt as she takes out a soup thermos. The man felt he was treated like an idiot. You guys planned for my death, obviously you worried that I survived.

His aunt passes him a bowl of chicken soup. "Come on, take it. You need nutrition to recover." Prompted the aunt. He pushed away the bowl and said "I don't need it, what do you guys need." His uncle stepped forward and passed him a paper that states that he supports his uncle to be the CEO of Huve.

"Let's get straight to the point then, I want you to sign this. I will give you whatever you just need to sign. You have always given us everything for taking care of you since your parents passed away. This can be your last duty to us." Stated the uncle.

The man was shocked at how greedy his relative is and realize that he is still the company CEO. He then spoke "Didn't I give you guys everything that you could not have. Now you are asking for my company, I still haven't ask you pay for the embezzlement you did uncle!" as anger seeps into his vein. The uncle sweated and said "How di-. What do you know!" The uncle spent the embezzled money on gambling at the luxury casino after gaining access thanks to his nephew.

"Do you guys still not understand? If only you guys didn't try to murder me, I would have been willing. But then you guys just left me to die. No, you guys tried to kill me. Drop the act!" Said the injured man who is on the bed.

His aunt and uncle sweated at the fact that he knew that they were the ones who asked thugs to erase him. The aunt pinched herself and said in contempt "So. What are you going to do? Call the police? But do you have evidence? Are you not afraid that we might send you to your death?"

The aunt and uncle gave on trying to pacify him. "Seeing you so brave, it ok. You better watch what you eat, and look out for anyone who might come in to kill you." Said the uncle. The uncle and aunt left the room. The injured man on the bed depressed as tears slipped out.

After leaving the hospital, the aunt said "What are we going to do? He will not sign the paper." The uncle took out his phone and made a call, "Hello, I would like an assassination done. I'm willing to pay 5 million. The target is ….".

The man on the bed skipped his lunch and dinner. Knowing his uncle and aunt. It is most likely that the food is poisoned and someone might be coming for him. As time passed, the man on the bed recalled about a young girl who peeled apples for him. Thinking that a young girl might help him, a stranger.

Soon the time hits 2am, he felt someone entered his ward from the window. He opened his eye and saw a man holding a dagger in his hand running towards him.

The injured man quickly rolled off the bed narrowly avoided the stab. His fall caused a loud noise, the bodyguards outside ran in and saw that the man they were supposed to protect was in danger. They quickly apprehend the assassin who tried to commit suicide knowing he had failed his mission.

But the guards are faster than he thought and was knocked out cold on the floor. A team of bodyguards searched the surrounding parameters for any possible danger.

The bodyguard asked "Are you ok Mr. Aiden?". Aiden who just got saved by a bunch of bodyguards asked "Who are you guys?". After ensuring his safety and carried the assassin out of the ward. The bodyguard all lined up and said "We are bodyguards assigned to protect you by our boss that you seen yesterday night." Aiden was shocked that the young girl has assigned so many bodyguards to protect him. Did she know that this will happen?

A bodyguard came in and said "Mr. Aiden, we have been ordered to take you somewhere else safe. And our boss wants to speak with you" and passed his phone to Aiden.

"Hello?"

"Hiii! I heard from them that something happened. What a shame I missed it. So, how is it like experience going between the borders of life and death not once but twice?! Care to share hmm!"

Aiden was speechless at how this girl reacted to his situation.

"Not good."

"Why? You might be able to ask for god's help to save you. What are you going to do now?"

Aiden remained silent for a while then said "Is your offer still open?".

"Of course! So which one are you taking? Let's hear it!" said the young girl sounding happy.

"Can you protect me during this period?".

"Your request is odd. In exchange, what do I get in returned? You follow me?".

"Yes." said Aiden as his voice fade.

"Oh. You are such a tsundere. Then follow my bodyguard's instruction. And also I heard you didn't eat the food I sent your way! How dare you waste my precious food!!"

"It was sent by you? I thought it was poison by my aunt and uncle so I couldn't let my guards down."

The girl thought over and said "Understandable. Then have a nice time at my house!". And the call ended. The bodyguards and Aiden make their way out of the hospital and went to the girl's home.
