"Thanks for the food."
Joining her hands in a gesture of gratitude, Yuki thanked Loki, who now had a dead look in her eyes.
After all, the number of dishes piled on the table was quite substantial, not to mention that both Syr and Chloe were exhausted, trying to clear the table every time a dish was devoured.
"What about the kitchen?"
The cat girl had long surrendered, unable to withstand the pressure from Yuki and Inori. She now sat with her mouth wide open as a small ghost emerged from her.
"I told you, May-san."
Shaking her head, Lunoire could only sigh for her friend's fate.
However, her sacrifice was not in vain. She didn't fall alone; Inori fell with her. Despite her body consuming a large amount of food due to her transformation, Inori wasn't as voracious as Yuki. After filling up, she went to sleep, leaving the rest to Yuki, who happily devoured it.
Looking at her cute and defenseless body, Yuki shook his head. This girl still didn't have full control of her body and power. Every time they trained, the amount of havoc she caused left Yuki with a headache.
(Who would have thought this kind girl had such power?)
Eva's power was no joke. She had nearly destroyed a country in the past. Watching her sleep, Yuki sighed as he put his Anbu mask back on.
"I see your girl is very tired."
Even with a dead look, Loki was no longer smiling. She seemed to suffer every time she looked at the huge pile of accumulated dishes.
"Don't worry, Loki-sama. She's just recharging."
"I understand..."
---
Like Loki, needless to say, her family was also speechless.
"Ugh! I think one of us is going to pay for all this."
Holding her head, Tione couldn't help but complain about the genius who had the wonderful idea of inviting this beast to eat.
"I just hope Loki's money is enough."
Finn shared the same opinion. Inviting Yuki to eat no longer seemed like a good idea.
"..."
Ais, on the other hand, just looked at Yuki, who had been ignoring her for some time now.
"Ugh?!"
Seeing Mia knock out the last idiot who still tried to leave, Riveria shook her head. With that woman at the door, it was impossible for them to leave the tavern without her permission, but in this world, idiots were not lacking.
"Uwaa, that was the last one."
Even Tiona felt a shiver down her spine at the sight of the idiot's condition.
*Clap, clap
Clapping her hands, Mia nodded.
"All right! It's time to clean up."
Moving away from the door, Mia looked at Ryuu and Anya, who responded by cleaning and dragging the adventurers.
---
This, of course, did not affect Yuki in the slightest. He couldn't care less about those adventurers, just as Ryuu and Ais constantly watched him.
"So... What is your real motive for inviting me, Loki-sama?"
Closing his eyes, Yuki said as he wiped his lips.
This was a good feast after all. Constantly switching between his clones to eat, Yuki thought he should make this Goddess suffer a little. Seeing the tavern now 'clean,' he thought it was a good time to talk. Yuki was no fool to think Loki invited him to eat without asking for anything in return. Although he had a favorable image of the Gods, which is why he didn't refuse in the first place, he remained cautious.
Loki, however, rolled her eyes. This guy still had the audacity to ask after all this time.
"Hiyaa... As expected of Your Excellency, you have very keen eyes."
Sighing in defeat, Loki regretted that her ability to detect lies didn't work on Yuki. With his personality, it was challenging for Loki to see through his lies, not to mention that the world's aura confused her a lot.
"Since there's no point in hiding it, I'll get straight to the point, Your Excellency. I want you to join my family."
Staring into Yuki's eyes, Loki stopped smiling.
This, of course, was a bomb for everyone. Her family now looked at Yuki with nervousness, even Riveria swallowed hard. After all, the Champion must have extensive knowledge of magic and worlds.
Ais was equally nervous; this was an opportunity for her to become stronger. So, if the Champion joined her family, Ais planned to stick to Yuki like gum.
(Loki! Damn!)
Syr, on the other hand, had a somber look. If Yuki joined the Loki family, it would be the worst possible outcome. The Loki family was already strong, and adding Yuki to the mix would create a monster. However, Syr had to praise Loki too. With her games gradually lowering the Champion's guard and flattering him, her request was something Yuki would think twice about.
(I must stop her!)
Biting her nails, Syr quickly thought of various countermeasures to stop this.
"Wow, this is a surprise."
Syr was right. Yuki now had a hand on his chin, looking thoughtful.
"I guess, Loki-sama, you must know that I already belong to another family, right?"
Since Yuki learned that people in this world knew about the Champions, it seemed like they were waiting for him. Yuki strongly suspected Hestia.
"That's right, Your Excellency. I don't know what that chibi Goddess could have offered you, but I'm sure I can offer more."
"I see."
Confirming his suspicions through her words, Yuki was deep in thought.
(Hestia... What is your goal?)
Knowing Hestia revealed his presence was already annoying, and Yuki couldn't figure out what Hestia was thinking.
(Maybe... Is there a hidden meaning? It's likely that... Is she testing my loyalty?)
Frowning, something flashed in his mind. After all, Yuki couldn't think that a Goddess like Hestia would be so foolish as to boast about his presence. She was a Goddess, after all.
So, his thoughts took another route, one where Hestia was testing him to see if he was loyal.
How wrong Yuki was. Hestia did want to boast, especially to Loki, who was considered her rival.
But Yuki didn't think of that. So, he responded with a smile.
"It's an interesting proposal, Loki-sama..."
"Stop!"
However, he didn't finish speaking before another voice stopped him.
