Chapter 44

Ivy and Donald quietly walked back to their apartment after parking their rides. The atmosphere was just peaceful without fights or querels that they usually have. Donald looked at Ivy and smiled.

"What is it?"

"You're beautiful in red. Matches your hair."

"Thanks."

"What do you think Drex wants to talk about?"

"I don't know. Maybe studies?"

"Fair enough."

Donald said as they arrived the apartment and he opened the door for her. They walked in and met George on the couch with a book covering his face.

"George?"

"Hmmm."

"Where's Drex?"

"He's at Weilto. I was waiting for you two so we can go together. Shall we?"

Ivy and Donald nodded and stood behind George who opened a portal and they disappeared.

At the royal family mansion in the morning at the king's quarters. Drex sat opposite the king who had a sour look on his face. George, Ivy and Donald appeared at the center and the king looked at them.

"Drex we're here."

Ivy said and poked Drex on his shoulder. She continued doing it but still didn't receive any reaction from him.

"What's wrong?"

"Grandpa."

George and Donald bowed to the king who just nodded and shifted his gaze to Ivy.

"That's grandpa he found out about you and wanted to meet you."

Ivy turned to the king and bowed.

"That's for boys."

"It wasn't written anywhere so I do what I want lady man."

"You.."

Donald held back his words and sat beside George.

"Gina you don't recognize me?"

"Not at all."

Lord Benson looked at Ivy and sighed.

"You've been through a lot child. Sorry we weren't there for you."

"It's okay. At least I had Drex and Aunt Celeste. Plus Sophie and Abigail's Mom treated me well then I lived with the Da Vinci family and they're lovable and good so don't blame yourself."

Ivy smiled at the king. They spent more time together and agreed not to reveal Ivy's identity yet then left back to their apartment.

"I am sooooooooo exhausted."

Ivy fell facedown on the couch.

"Why are you in matching clothes?"

"We went for a dance off and as expected of Bluebell's champions, we won."

Ivy said with a lazy tone like she'll just fall asleep any second. Donald too fell on another sofa exhausted.

"Gina"

"Hmm?"

"Why were you hiding your identity?"

"Lots of enemies."

"Is your life in danger?"

"Hmm."

"Then...Gina?"

George stopped when he noticed her light breathing. She was sleeping.
