Chapter thirteen : A friend indeed

TIGER'S MANSION

Maid's quarter

"Gosh Clarice, are you going to see her take Ken away from you?" Claire shouted.

"Then what am I to do?" Clarice cried

"The guy you are talking about doesn't even know that you exists" Bella said

"So I don't know why you are getting worked up on something that can never be yours" she said further

Clarice slapped her"How dare you? Don't you know who you are talking to?" She barked.

Just then Ma'am Lakshmi entered "What are you guys doing here? Would you go back to your duty post" she screamed.

All of them scurried away.

Clarice walked to the garden where she is to trim the flowers, she heard that it was Mariel who planted it, she frowned at the thought.

She met Ken there admiring the flowers, she in turn admired him from behind.

'Geez he's getting handsome everyday' she thought. Just then he received a call and left. Someone tapped her from behind, it was Claire "What are you doing here? What if someone catches you?" She whispered.

Actually Claire and Clarice are twin.

"Nothing"."Should we teach her a lesson?"

"No, thanks, I don't want to get on Ken bad side" she replied and left to do what she came to do.

It was morning already, Harry opened his eyes to the dawn of the new day.

He felt kind of happy at the thought of the last few days. Mariel has been such a blessing though sometimes she's a pin in the ass.

Ken told him her brother was awake already so she might not come today.

She has just spent two weeks with them and it felt like ages.

Just then Ken came in.

"Tiger"

"Quit the honorifics, what happened?" Ken looked at him in a kinda weird way.

"What's up with that look?" he asked further

"Nothing. It's just that it's been long I saw you, so, I'm trying to take your features in"

Harry curved his lips up.

"Come, I want to discuss something with you"

"What?"

"How much money do we have left?"

"Last three years when I checked it. it was up to a billion dollars, but we've used quite some amount for business, food and salaries. Plus we still gained more money. So it should be up to a million dollars"

"Can you get an architect to design a company on the land we have at Dallas....."

"Of course Harry. Actually before Aunt Ella died she begged me to take care of you and be there for you always. She told me to make you achieve her dreams of you becoming the CEO of many companies. So over the years, I started the project, the money that isn't recorded was used to buy land and build companies all over the country. You have HXC company here in Philippines, in America, Germany, Korea, India, Africa, China, and others. The land you have in Dallas, I'm currently using it to build an enchanted HXC mansion" Ken said in one breath without allowing Harry to say anything.

Harry opened his mouth in awe and surprise. Ken has really been a good best friend all this years.

"Why did you do that?" Harry asked. Ken shrugged his shoulders.

"I knew and hoped you will change someday and turned to the Harry I've always known. And I knew you would never let your mom down. So I started when we were eighteen" Ken said

Harry teared up and rushed to hug Ken

"Thank you Ken, thanks for believing in me"

"It's okay. You are my best friend and my brother, I should be my brother's keeper"

"Anyways, they have wanted to meet their boss for a long time, it will be great for them to see you".
