Getting stronger

"Huh?"

What was that?

It was the same feeling.

The same noise.

There was barely any difference compared to when I was picking my weapon.

The only thing that contrasted it was that I didn't understand anything.

"Let's forget that and go."

I walk into the hunting zone where slimes roam.

The green squiggly creatures bounced around the hunting area.

Sludge—

One sat only a few inches away from me before I transitioned into my stance.

Slice!—

It cut shallow.

"Not enough.."

The creature threw itself super close, about to hit my neck, before I moved to the side out of reflex.

"Hooo.."

I calmed my breathing.

If I was not calm,

I would lose.

'Steady now..'

And it had incredible durability and defense which would make it incredibly hard to cut through.

But..

"That's all there is to it."

I grinned at the green blob of a gooey substance.

Pew!—

It made a noise while driving towards me.

—which failed.

Again.

And again.

No matter how many times it attacked me, I would always dodge the attacks.

"I'm telling you.."

"You stand no chance."

I smirk in superiority at the worst being's futile attempts.

"Though, I don't want to waste too much time today.."

Slash—

I cut the slime in half at the same spot where I had already slashed through before.

「 You have defeated the slime 」

「 Strength has increased by 1 」

"Not bad."

I look at the reward I gained.

Straight after, I remember the two commands that I was told in the tutorial.

But I didn't need to check as I had already known about these before purchasing the game, from the countless hours of research I did.

"Status window."

A sudden game panel popped up.

It was the same as the tutorial in which the voice guided me.

However, the information was different and far more inclusive.

"Wow.."

I look at the multiple surprises that had appeared on my status window.

What were these surprises?

"Three points on agility already?"

The reason why this was special was because most players begin with at least one of their stats to begin with two points.

One example was of a ranked player who began with two strength stat points and was able to train his strength faster than the average.

But,

'I have three points..'

Which was completely unheard of.

The most someone had was three different stats which had two stat points.

"I wonder how fast my agility will be in the future.."

I place my hand over my mouth in a hurry, trying to clench my excitement.

'Forget that.. I need to get stronger to unlock my 'unique ability'.'

I needed to direct my energy elsewhere.

The creature which I just defeated, that will help me level up again.

I looked at my status screen again.

My stats were looking pretty good.

But before I was about to close my status screen-

"Excuse me?"

I heard a man's voice from behind my back.

My back naturally faced the opposite direction, while I looked at his face.

"Yes?"

"Would you like to join our party?"
