~Chapter 88~
After seeing Fon and Iozin off by the caridon tower, Baas and Mae headed for the city gate. Unlike Tag'thyr, no one cared about who came and went from Sap'letor, and they walked out as if taking a casual stroll down the road.
Once they were well beyond the sight of the city guard, they summoned Hidai and Varmutt and rode along until they reached a place where the road crossed a wide but calm river, that ran south into the Dendrel Wilds.
It was still early in the afternoon when they arrived and the air was hot and humid, while the river appeared cool and inviting. Stepping from the main road, down onto the grassy shoreline, they enjoyed a quick swim while cleaning up, and then ate lunch before continuing on their way.
