Mae's heart was pounding in her ears deafening her to the sounds of the world. She felt as if she was in a vacuum, her breath being torn from her making it difficult to speak. Standing in the vestibule of Ferstaӓg's temple of Omb, even with Baas and Strativar at her side, she felt as if she were surrounded by enemies.
"Ah, finally, you bring me my prize." Omb's voice echoed through the chamber as she rose out from beneath the shadow of the altar. Clad in black leather armor, she was statuesque and stunningly beautiful. The golden waves of her hair sparkling as they bounced with each stride she took towards them, her eyes focused passed Mae to the King behind her. "I do hope the journey was not too difficult for you, rightful king of Ix. I welcome you to my temple, albeit a smaller one, but given the location, it was the safest in which you could wander."
Mae stepped before Omb, blocking her path.
