"Stay with Pyde," Nimaro demanded of Mae.
With a nod, she stepped back and positioned herself at Pyde's side. Despite the weeks of training, the late nights and early mornings, she still felt under prepared to deal with any unforeseen problems. And where they were, the situation they had found themselves in, had potential for many.
It had only been five days since Mae's team had revealed the extent of the Phay'leona Projects progress, when Mae and Nimaro, along with Pyde and Kina, decided to make the journey, from the Quarter to the dark and secluded cavern, that was Ehtsugeiri Xial'dren's den, through the nightscape. This was only possible due to the nightmare Nimaro had instilled within Xial'dren, and his ability to bend the nightscape to his will, something that even Mae, despite the part of him that was with her, couldn't do to the extent he could.
