imminent clash

Cinder met Glacies's concerns with nonchalant indifference. "The chances of that happening," he drawled, "are slim to none. You have the results you wanted, so stop questioning my methods."

Glacies snorted in anger, his icy breath a visible mist in the cool air. "Then let us begin the second phase," he growled, the impatience evident in his voice.

Without another word, Ivy materialized a dense cocoon of vines around Alistair, effectively silencing and immobilizing him. Glacies and Ivy then vanished in a blur, their speed almost a distortion in reality as they made their way out of the academy.

Cinder, however, remained, a chilling smile playing on his lips. His role was to create chaos, a distraction of such magnitude that it would mask Glacies and Ivy's departure from the continent with their prize.

As he watched them disappear, Cinder's attention turned to the sky. His hands outstretched as if embracing the heavens, a maniacal scream tore from his throat: "WORLD OF ASHES!"

The world around him responded with chilling obedience. Buildings within a radius of several kilometers around him began to crumble, melting into a cascade of ash that rained down on the academy. The sky turned a sickly gray, choking the life out of the vibrant landscape.

The true horror, however, lay in the effects on the academy's inhabitants. Those unfortunate enough to inhale the ash began to cough up blood, their bodies succumbing to a gruesome internal liquefaction. Fear and agony filled the air, a grim symphony accompanying Cinder's destructive performance.

Within the heart of Silverleaf, atop its most opulent skyscraper, a man burst into a lavish office, his voice a frantic stutter. "Miss! Miss Cassandra!"

A figure swiveled in a plush, high-backed chair, her sleek black hair cascading down her shoulders like a silken waterfall. Her eyes, the color of polished obsidian, fixed on the intruder with a chilling intensity.

"Nathaniel," she said, her voice as smooth as velvet, "if this is not a matter of utmost urgency, you will find yourself regretting your intrusion."

Nathaniel's chest heaved with fear-induced breaths, his eyes wide with terror. "Three Shadows of the Eclipse Order... Glacies, Cinder and Ivy... They were sighted heading towards Zenith Academy."

Cassandra's composure cracked for a split second, her eyes widening in alarm before her steely resolve returned. She snatched up her phone with lightning speed, her fingers flying across the screen as she barked orders. "Inform the Association. Gather all Resonators above Converging Master rank. Now."

The Souls Association, a formidable organization Cassandra had forged into the mightiest force on the Aether continent. Its upper echelons were bound by an unbreakable loyalty, their souls tethered to Cassandra's will by insidious "soul bombs"; a gruesome insurance policy against betrayal.

Cassandra's fingers danced across her phone once more, connecting her to another vital contact. "Agent Marcus, this is Cassandra. A dire situation has arisen. Three Shadows of the Eclipse Order are converging on Zenith Academy. Inform the Pillars immediately. Time is of the essence."

In the opulent comfort of Atlas's manor, a stark contrast to the unfolding chaos, the Class 1-S students were huddled around a large screen. The vibrant colors of Silverleaf had been muted into a gray wasteland, choked by swirling ash. A news reporter's voice, strained with barely concealed horror, crackled through the speakers.

"The death toll is rising at an alarming rate," he announced, his voice trembling. "Millions are affected, with countless succumbing to the insidious ash every minute. The streets are filled with the dying and the desperate, their cries for help echoing through the desolate cityscape..."

His voice caught in his throat, the weight of the tragedy evident. Then, hope replaced the despair as he said with a fanatical expression , "The Soul Pillar, Cassandra, has arrived!"

The camera turned to a group of imposing figures, their attire radiating power. At their forefront stood Cassandra, her striking black hair a stark contrast to the ashen landscape. Cheers erupted from the unseen crowd, their faith in the Pillars momentarily overshadowing the grim reality.

Yet, the atmosphere in the manor remained heavy. A flicker of doubt danced in the eyes of those who knew the true power of the Eclipse Order. Leona, unable to contain her anxiety, broke the silence.

"Do you think Cassandra can win?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

A tense silence followed, each student wrestling with their own fears and doubts.

"She's the Soul Pillar," Kaelan spoke up, his voice filled with confidence. "The strongest resonator in the Aether Continent. She won't lose."

Seraphina, ever the pragmatist, countered, "But these are the Shadows of the Eclipse. They're not your average foes. Even the strongest can fall."

"Indeed, Cinder already has an edge on Cassandra since he has early stage transcendent mastery, while she is only at the peak of converging mastery,"Atlas interjected " and his resonance is really troublesome since it has an insane range of attack" he continued with a solemn expression.

Meanwhile, in the ashen wasteland that Silverleaf had become, Cassandra and four Converging Peak experts from the Souls Association raced towards the source of the relentless ash. A man with vibrant green hair, his Wind Manipulation Resonance creating a protective bubble of pure air around them, led the charge.

Within the confines of the air bubble, a tense discussion of strategy unfolded. Yet, amidst the flurry of ideas and concerns, Cassandra's demeanor became more and more serene as the progressed within the gray wasteland. The nervousness that had gripped her earlier had vanished, replaced by an unshakeable confidence.

"Cinder's 'World of Ashes' is a powerful Resonance," one of the experts, a woman with flowing water-like hair, remarked, her voice laced with concern. "We must be cautious."

Another expert, a burly man with a beast transformation resonance, nodded in agreement. "He's a Shadow of the Eclipse. They're known for their unpredictable and ruthless tactics."

Cassandra raised a hand, silencing the growing unease. "This time," she declared, her tone unquestionable , "the Eclipse Order will lose one of their cherished Shadows."
