Chapter 43

Ramses,

The king stumbled out of his bed and fell on the floor after his stomach turned and he got dizzy.

He put his hand above his mouth and tried to suppress the urge to vomit, but he could not.

He retched on the floor and felt pain run through every nerve point in his body.

He kept emptying his stomach till dark black liquid replaced the half-digested food he had consumed the night before.

The doors to his room opened, and some servants, guards, and his advisor entered.

Omari crouched beside him and held his shoulders and pulled him up, but the king fell.

His legs were shaking and again his stomach revolted and he had to push his friend away to heave.

"My king, what is the matter? Have you eaten anything after your supper?"

Omari asked the king after he sent someone to get the royal physician.

Ramses looked up at his friend, and his head swam. He closed his eyes and focused on his breathing.
