Half an hour ago.
Buck had welcomed the Head of Marketing from headquarters, Smith, who said he brought something good for him.
Taking the "good thing" Smith referred to, Buck carefully examined the glass syringe in his hand, inside of which a black liquid flowed, as if it had a life of its own.
Smith sat beside him, dressed in a black suit, smiling as he watched Buck.
After observing for a moment, Buck, unable to figure it out, couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Smith, is this the latest development from the company, which is said to cure all diseases, the nanobots?"
Smith smiled and looked at the dealer in front of him as he replied,
"Yes, apart from genetic diseases, it can cure most other diseases, including cancer, and it can also enhance the body's healing ability."
"This is the company's latest technological achievement, and it has entered mass production, ready to go on the market."
"May I try it?" asked Buck, eager to give it a go.
"Of course, Mr. Buck, you are an important partner and dealer for our company."
Without headquarters' approval, Buck wouldn't dare to use it.
Hearing the affirmative answer, he inserted the syringe into his arm vein, and the black and red nanofluid burrowed in through the needle.
Having tossed the injector away, Buck seemed to feel a change in his body. He punched the wall forcefully; the mechanical arm on his hand bent under his own muscular strength, and while his shoulder was injured from the recoil, the black and red nanoworms surged, healing the wound in just two seconds.
Buck revealed a look of ecstasy, feeling like he had become a superhero.
...
Buck stood in the garden outside the villa, casting an uneasy glance at the villa behind him, thinking how fortunate he was to have injected the nanobots, or else he would surely be dead by now.
He then looked toward the man in the suit:
"Smith, what was that?" he asked.
Smith's facial wounds were alive with the motion of nanoworms, restoring his original appearance, and he said coldly,
"It must be a Powered Exoskeleton."
"Powered Exoskeleton? Was it sent by a hostile force of the company?"
"I'm not sure, but I know we're in trouble."
As he spoke, Smith was preparing to make a getaway with Buck by car.
But as his words ended, a Steel Mecha burst out of the villa, launching a fierce attack on the two men in the garden.
It was rush hour with passersby moving to and fro on the street outside, and traffic was bustling.
When the gunfire had erupted earlier, many surrounding people took notice of the villa. A lot of them called the police, curious about what happened inside but not daring to venture in rashly.
Those wanting to see the commotion had been watching the villa when they saw a metallically gleaming humanoid figure rush out.
They paused and peered through the iron fence, and when they saw it was a blood-red, metallically cold Steel Mecha, the onlookers involuntarily swallowed hard, not doubting that its enormous fists could pulverize them with one punch.
At that moment, the Steel Mecha's punch pierced a man's chest. Witnessing this, they wanted to scream, but when they saw the man's chest cavity somehow return to normal and he stood up to continue fighting, everyone was dumbfounded and in sheer disbelief.
"What???"
"What's going on here?!!"
Beneath the shocked gaze of hundreds outside the garden, the Assault Mecha chased after Buck and Smith, its trailing wind pressure forcing them not to look back.
Even though Buck's strength had been enhanced by the Nanomechanical Worms, he was still only a businessman with no combat experience. He was quickly caught by Qin Ming, who took advantage of the situation, driving the mecha to smash Buck to the ground with one punch, followed by a heavy thrust of his legs; Buck's head was crushed by the colossal force, his brain matter splattering only to be gathered back by the black and red Nanomechanical Worms.
The brain tissue scattered around the neck emitted a vast amount of red light, signaling that the nanoworms were attempting to repair the exploded head, but faced with such severe damage, and the mecha's legs still obstructing the skull, they were powerless.
Qin Ming realized why the two men with serious injuries were still able to stand; both Buck and the man in the suit must have been injected with Nanites—one and the same nanomechanical worms from the movie where only Lei, the male lead, could perfectly integrate, which could rapidly repair the human body.
However, it was far inferior to Wolverine's healing ability in the X-Men, as the repair capabilities of the nanoworms were limited; after all, they could only mend the injured parts of the body rather than create cells ex nihilo like Wolverine.
Qin Ming glanced at Buck, who was gradually losing his vitality under his feet, then turned his gaze to the man in the suit in front of him.
Unlike the already deceased Buck, the man in the suit possessed a strong fighting spirit. He was as agile as a monkey, dodging most of Qin Ming's attacks, and the few non-lethal hits he did receive were quickly repaired by the nanoworms.
"Sir, the mecha's energy reserves are at 11%," Xiao Ai reminded.
Qin Ming hadn't been planning to use telekinesis, but now it seemed he had no choice!
Although the Steel Mecha remained motionless for the time being, Smith dared not let his guard down, his eyes firmly fixed on the iron giant in front of him.
He glanced at Buck lying under the Steel Mecha's feet. Even though the man was dead, the nanoworms were still trying to repair his head instinctively, with millions of nanomechanical worms carrying Buck's red and white brain tissue, coiling and spinning around the mecha's legs.
This ghastly scene made Smith's mouth twitch; he certainly did not want to end up as something neither human nor ghost.

The sharp sound of police sirens rose around them, growing closer and closer. Smith, standing still, heaved a sigh of relief; as long as the police arrived, he would be safe.
Just as he was starting to relax, he suddenly felt an intense pain in his neck and instinctively tried to react, only to discover, to his horror, that he couldn't move at all.
Qin Ming had crushed his spine with a force of 98N telekinesis. Although the nanobots in his body were trying to repair it, as long as Qin Ming didn't release the force, these nanoscale robots were utterly incapable of completing the repair.
Smith stood frozen in place, having lost all ability to resist, with only his eyeballs and mouth still able to move.
Qin Ming walked up to him, stuffed Buck's shattered head into his mouth to gag him, picked up his body, and then walked into the villa, using the telekinetic field to locate where the women were being held captive.
They were kept in two inconspicuous rooms of the villa; Qin Ming kicked open the locked door with one foot.
The women inside, aside from looking pale, didn't seem to have suffered any other harm.
Facing the towering and formidable presence of the Steel Mecha, the women were filled with terror, not daring to breathe too loudly.
"You can go now," the mecha's voice, processed by Xiao Ai, turned into a hoarse and mature male voice.
Upon hearing these words, the women in the room scattered like they had been granted a pardon, trembling as they ran out.
Qin Ming then approached the second room and kicked open the door in the same manner.
This room contained three women and one man. The mecha's infrared detector showed the man had no body temperature, clearly indicating he was dead. The other three women were alive but had lost their limbs and thus their ability to move.
With the three women watching him with complex emotions, he picked them up and quickly left the villa.
Resonance!!!
Qin Ming's telekinesis acted upon the load-bearing walls of the entire building, causing them to vibrate.
Within seconds, cracks appeared in the reinforced concrete walls, which subsequently began to break and collapse. The villa, having lost its load-bearing walls, collapsed like a stacked tower, kicking up a huge cloud of dust and debris, striking several bystanders who were gathering to watch, causing panic and a mad scramble to escape in all directions.
Qin Ming, having just come outside the villa, turned to look back at the ruins before placing the three women and Smith on the back of a truck parked on the road.
At this point, Assault No. 1's energy was down to 2%, and it was about to lose the ability to move.
"Xiao Ai, use the remaining energy to engage the electromagnetic shield."
"Xiao Ai, clear the surrounding surveillance and open up the mecha's cockpit."
After giving the orders, Qin Ming manipulated Assault No. 1 to sit in the back of the truck, then the inner mechanisms of the mecha began to operate, and the titanium alloy armor on its chest slowly opened to the sides. He leaped out from inside, used telekinesis to start the truck, and drove swiftly towards the salvage yard.
