Pilot - part 2

Saturday, morning.

A few days have passed since my brother Alan moved in with Charlie, Alan brought his son Jake here a few times and asked me to watch him while he worked out some things with Judith.

Today I woke up and like most days I went to the beach to surf, I surfed for almost an hour and went to my brother's house as I use his shower after surfing.

Entering the house I see Charlie coming down the stairs with Jake as Alan and Judith argue, something about crying in the car.

"For God's sake Charlie put on pants and Johnny put on a shirt" said Judith.

"look at me, judy. I barely made it down the stairs" said charlie.

"I just came from the beach, first I'm going to take a shower to get the sand off" I said.

"you said the ocean was closed!" Jake said.

"stop screaming, my head hurts!" said Charlie.

Charlie with a hangover as usual, I'm glad I took precautions and left my special juice in the fridge.

"the special juice is in the fridge Charlie" I said.

"Thanks Johnny" said Charlie.

Alan signaled Charlie to get Jake out of there.

"Charlie, could you and Jake..." said Alan.

"Yeah, come on, kid, we'll have breakfast out on the deck," Charlie said.

Their dialogue continued and they went to the deck and I went to the shower, although I'm pretty sure I saw Judith peeking at my abs.

After taking my shower, I followed Charlie and Jake to the grocery store, it was funny to see Charlie confused by the common things that come with a child, and it was even funnier when he realized he could use Jake to attract women.

We stopped by the ice cream shop and I got some phone numbers for later, we got home after a while and started putting away the groceries when Alan came over.

"What took you so long?" Alan asked.

"We stopped for ice cream, because I'm a babe magnet" Jake said.

Jake realized he'd said something wrong and made a strategic retreat using the classic pee tactic, Alan gave Charlie a crooked look.

"Why do you assume he learned it from me?" Charlie said.

"Because I learned it from you" Alan said.

"We both did" I said.

Charlie had a proud look on his face and started taking the groceries out of the bags.

"Hey, thanks for cleaning up" Charlie said.

"No, it wasn't me. Rose was here" Alan said.

"Rose? You let Rose into my house?" Charlie asked.

"She said she was your maid" Alan explained.

Then charlie tried to open the cupboards and realized that Rose had glued them together again.

"Hell, she glued the damn cabinets shut again" Charlie said.

"I'll get the tools" I said.

"Again? You've got somebody who comes in regularly to glue your cabinets?" Alan asked.

"You've met some of the whack jobs I've gone out with, It's not that big a stretch" Charlie said.

"I still have some scars" I said while some felt some chills at the memories that came back.

"It's not my fault, why didn't you warn me?" Alan asked.

"You let her in so it's your fault" Charlie said.

"You're a deeply disturbed man, you know? Move it. Come on" Alan said as he tried to pull the cabinets.

"I'm deeply disturbed? Who came here in the middle of the night with his own sheets?" Charlie said.

"At least, I care what I sleep on. Or should I say, who I sleep on" Charlie said.

"Hey pal, of the two of us, I'll bet I'm the only one who's slept with a married woman recently, well, maybe johnny but you know he doesn't do it on purpose" Charlie said.

"And isn't that something to brag about?" a woman said.

I looked to see our mom standing right there, Alan got scared and fell and i just said.

""Hi mom"" charlie said with me.

"dibs, you own me a coke" i said.
