Old man Patriarch asked his men to bring him inside. Birdie came inside all his cloth soaking wet dripping on the floor. His face was full of misery and shame. Margie came on to him with towel to dry his hairs. All those boys and Panda was like her own kids. Seeing them in pain was causing her heart to break. But he moved his head and looked at Margie with immense sadness " I don't deserve it Maa".

Margie wanted to protest but Old Man shook his head, right now this boy didn't need pity. He needed to make this boy understand that he was also a victim in this situation. Birdie's real name was Christian Rogue and many few people called him that Old Man Patriarch also chose to call him Birdie , he was only called Christian when there was something formal to be happened.

Old Man Patriarch spoke in firm voice " Christian Rogue I give you the position of second in command in Knight Military. Are you willing". Birdie has prepared his speech on his head and in his script he was willing to accept all his punishment so, he blurted first thing that came to his mind " I accept all your punishment, I am willing to leave Knight family forever and ever. If that can reduce my sins to be born as his son". But suddenly his eyes widened he looked at Old Man Patriarch in surprise.

Old man laughed " if you think this promotion is a punishment than I think you should accept this punishment well and fullfil all the responsibility that came with it". Birdie was too shell shocked to speak anything he looked at Margie for guidance this woman was like his mother as his own mother left him with his father and never returned back. His father was once a good soldier but a neglectful father. He often forgot to even feed him, cloth him. It was Margie who visited him every alternate day and after he was 7 yrs old they brought him to live with Zack and Tag.

She loved him and took his side more than Zack and Tag . Nobody let him feel unwanted and he was forever grateful for Knight family. He felt nothing but disgust for his father as he always felt that he was a loyal soldier if not a good dad, but now he felt that he was not even that. Still he asked " why". Margie smiled patted his back " because children carry their parents gene but not their sins. You were always my son in my heart and not the son of Rogue family".

Old Man Patriarch spoke to Margie " leave this boy with me for a while". Margie understood his husband very well and left him to it. Old Man Patriarch spoke " Do you think this uprising was a surprise for Knight family, I forced them to create an uprising. I did that for three reasons 1)I created many chances to give senior members bait and checked who will jump at first chance of an uprising. It was quickest way to clean out the weed 2) I wanted to check which side the Government will move and who will they support at the time of trouble and I was disappointed at their neutral reaction which prepared me for future similar situation and now they are indebted to us and their future mission is gonna cost them load more and last 3) I wanted to check Zack and Tag's efficiency in dealing with the situation.

He continued " I already prepared for everything and it was sad that your father and many official were caught but it will help to bring new blood in this family". Birdie was shocked how far the Patriarch planned everything he bowed his head in respect and grateful that he stood for this side of the family.
