Mountain load of trouble

We three looked at each other, there was a mutual assent to let him go after long eye to eye conversation. Man stood up dusted up his clothes. That's when I realised he was in much better condition than all three of us combined. Our clothes were ragged and skin torn in many places while on his body there were few scratches and that's it, that man was ready to walk on a ramp, while people will consider us beggars and probably drop penny or two.

Zen checked her watch and said " it's 1500 pm , we have to reach the base in one hour". That man peaked outside by moving the boulder casually, his muscle strength was incredible to do that so easily. There was a familiarity in his movement but Lily thought that most of the soldiers had same agile movements. Deciding there was no time to wait and storm has lessened a lot they moved out. But another surprise awaited them.

Zee cursed loudly " fuck do they think we are robots or something, how the fuck can we cross that". We all looked at the small mountain with steep inclination standing proudly in front of us. We had mere 1 hr to cross that and with our baggage it was like a lost case. Zen also sat down on the boulder and started chewing dried beef jerky. Asher that was his name looked at my face as I looked at the mountain range closely. I turned to him that's when I realised he was too close to my face. I took a step back and said " they are not stupid to give us such task that will turn out too impossible, we just need to find the loophole and we need to just use it.

Zee and Zen pulled their binoculars and started searching a way to pass. Just than Zee shouted " there,look there I think there is a cave in between the mountain, may be it is a passage that we can pass and it will take less time to climb than the whole mountain". Finally finding a way we started climbing the mountain with the ropes and carabiners and other stuff they packed for us, it was as if they made us prepared for every situation, it increased our baggage but at times like this they were life saviors.

After hit and try mostly for me as I was new in this we reached the cave . After entering, it was a happy surprise that it was a passage for us to cross and finally we made it. After crossing the mountain Asher disappeared on his own. I found that weird but I knew he was a lone ranger and he preferred solitude than our company. But we were so close to the base. It was stupid to ditch us here. Finally reaching the base we were given water and gooey tasteless food which we gobbled like luxury. We have successfully crossed the second test.
