There weren't many times in which Perrikus could claim to have gone into battle this confident.
Not even in their invasion of Asgard did he feel this confident, the presence of Odin and the discipline of Asgards soldiers led to him always having an inkling fear of defeat. Just a small amount, enough to keep him alert, unlike Majeston Zelia who had been certain of victory to the point of arrogance.
He had intended to never make the same mistake as his mother and be certain in victory. Perrikus had intended to always be conscious of the possibility of defeat.
Yet he could not say the same after having seen the power that the Citadel had at its disposal.
Just three beings managed to wipe out the main part of the Kree fleet, all of its weaponry, armour and manoeuvrability helpless in the face of their overwhelming power. Perrikus could claim to be able to do the same, with aid from the other Dark Gods, utilising Tokkots ability to create clones of himself as an answer to the difference in numbers. Slototh and his unique constitution making dealing any physical harm all but impossible. All the while he could utilise energy blasts and his immense physical strength while having Adva teleport him around the battlefield.
They could do it, but it would not be easy by any stretch of the imagination.
However, those three beings, Terminus, Star-Stalker and Stardust, they destroyed that Kree fleet with ease. In fact, Perrikus had the feeling that they could do the same act with the same measure of ease alone. The man, Makor had managed to take out the Olympians on his own with ease and Perrikus could not tell what his standing was amongst the rest of the Citadel.
The Majestor was clearly the head of the operation. His power so great that it seemed to eclipse his ability to sense it, but the weight of his presence was undeniable. The strength of his gaze was so powerful that everything else blended away into nothingness.
From what he had seen then, Stardust seemed to be the second-in-command. Though how much influence she had on the other members of the Citadel seemed minimal, the only one they seemingly answered to being the Majestor. Each of them far too powerful for any amongst them to truly be considered their superior besides the most powerful of them all.
After that, it was unclear of what order in which they served, all seemingly equals and not at the same time. Makor was amongst them, too powerful to be controlled by anyone except the Majestor. Yet, even he seemed to be able to exert little control over the draconian man who followed his orders, but took liberties in doing so.
Perrikus could no say for certain whether the others would act the same, but he supposed he was about to find out very soon. With the Dark Gods flanking him, what remained of his worshippers, merely a few thousand at this point, nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands, nearing millions that they had been before all ready for battle.
At the lead of this army, three beings stood calmly, relaxed and almost bored in posture. One, a tall giant mechanical being that towered above them all with a metallic body with the similar ridged design as his own armour.
The other was a tall, muscular man possessing a strange mark upon his dark red skin. A monstrous figure that emitted a strange, powerful pulsating source of cosmic energy that emitted from the glowing symbol upon his chest.
Finally, another large, monstrous figure with brilliant red skin with a yellowish glow outlining its body. A powerful burning tail flowed out behind, the long jaws protruding from its mouth kept closed, but he had seen the powerful and dangerous teeth that lay within.
Each of them, just standing there relaxed, was already of a level of power surpassing his mother. By no means the Unions equal, she was still strong enough to match Odin without the Odinforce blow for blow. Yet that was when exerting the full totality of her power, but these three were calm, suppressing their power. They alone, were more powerful than himself and any of the Dark Gods upon his side. Controlling them would be impossible, directing them alone would be a struggle.
'It would be best to simply stand back and allow them to deal with the Olympians, especially if they are all as strong as Makor.' Perrikus thought to himself, watching the gathering storm clouds in the distance. The power within it was greater than anything King Rugga had been able to produce, greater than even the storm the young Asgardian Prince, Thor Odinson had been able to summon.
This was the storm of the King of Olympus, the Skyfather, Zeus.
It's power was vast, yet contained. Wild, by controlled. The bolts of lightning a brilliant golden yellow in colour, lancing out with force that shook the planet that shone with light that momentarily darkened everything. The cracks of thunder, deafening and powerful, heard across the cosmos as the Skyfather made his entry into battle.
But beneath them, they came.
A brilliant light shone in the skies, piercing through the storm, a burning streak that took shape into that of a chariot that soared through the sky. A trail of music sounding out, joining in perfect harmony with the booms of thunder.
Down below, the thundering of hooves rocked the ground, dust clouds forming as herds of wild animals swarmed across the landscape. Riding atop them came the armoured women of the honourable and noble, Amazonians. Mystical and divine creatures under the purview and direction of the Gods of the Sun and the Moon, unleashed upon their enemies.
At the lead, upon the largest and most brutish beasts rode the wickedly armoured figure of the God of War and Bloodlust. Matched in pace by a smaller, more agile and graceful divine creature, who was mounted by a heavily armoured woman, adorned with spear and shield. Two Gods of War, so different in their utilisation of such a barbaric act of slaughter, one representing its brutish ways, the other the graceful art and skill needed by those that thrive within its harsh environment.
Ahead of them, bursting out from the ground, large roots broke free from rocky surface. Roots thick and large enough for creatures to ride upon them to greater heights. But from the cracks, skeletal hands dragged meatless bodies out from the ground, hordes of undead joining in with the charge, all clad in brilliantly forged armour and wielding weaponry of a brilliant craftsmanship.
But in the very rear, a beautiful crafted ship, more like a flat stand that floated in the air, but nonetheless beautiful in its craftsmanship, soared towards them. Upon it, many more Olympians Gods stood, all armed and ready to go, as the rain began to fall. Flowers upon the roots bloomed and the water levels rapidly rose as sea creatures began join the herd of large stampeding beasts that had taken to moving across the roots to avoid the lake forming below. Along its surface, two men could be seen moving across, one gliding upon it, the other rapidly running as they rushed across the surface towards them.
Finally, bringing up the rear, a mass of shadows formed, growing in size till nothing could be seen beyond the oncoming horde of monsters, Gods and Amazonians.
The Olympians had come in full force, just as the Majestor had said. They were no longer trying to ensure a victory with minimal losses, they were now here to win, no matter the cost. Amassing their army in full force as they had, would bring down the wrath of Lords of the Dawn, the first Elder Gods and leaders of the Omnipotence City. The place built as the nexus of the Gods, from the clay of Creation and powered by the embers that lit the First Sun. The Lords of the Dawn had mediated conflicts between Gods since the First Great War of the Gods, working to ensure that the prophesies Second Great War of the Gods never came to be.
This war would have already brought reparations down upon the Olympians, especially with the Dark Gods having already gained the unofficial backing of the Lords of the Dawn to invade and destroy the Asgardians.
Back when Asgard was a continent ruled by the Storm Giants of old, when the Æsir existed in a long since forgotten and destroyed world, the Lords of the Dawn had been the ones to determine where pantheons of God would belong to, what races would worship them. The Lords of the Dawn had been the greatest force of Godly power in the Cosmos, a force that the young Æsir ruled by the reclusive and wondrous craftsman, King Buri did not know nor care to listen to.
Upon their worlds destruction, the Æsir led by King Buri, did not go to the Lords of the Dawn to gain access to a new world from which to find worshippers. Instead, King Buri settled in the continent of Asgard, signing a treaty with the Storm Giants to make a home in their lands. It flaunted to the rules and insulted the Lords of the Dawn who in turn, took their revenge against the Æsir in a minor way. Nothing major, just a warning that left the Æsir scattered across the continent of Asgard.
King Buri left, and his son, King Bor ascended to the throne. But much like his father, he ignored the influence and power of the Lords of the Dawn, ignored the messengers sent that demanded he make an appearance before the Lords of the Dawn. Instead, King Bor waged war against the Storm Giants, breaking the agreement and driving them to the far reaches of the continent and forcing many to flee into Jötunheimr where they either died or evolved into ever stronger beings, each desiring revenge against the Æsir.
He then waged a series of crusades against the tribes of Æsir that had splintered away from his father following the Lord of the Dawns intervention. His aim had been simple, reuniting the Æsir into one once more.
However, he died before he could succeed. A series of campaigns against Trolls, Elves, Dwarves and Storm Giants that felt threatened by the Æsir's expansionist actions led to his goals being delayed, long enough for a final conflict to end in his defeat.
Following his defeat, Odin ascended to the throne and once again, the Lords of the Dawn were snubbed. Odin waging a series of campaigns that ended in decisive victories over the various races in the Nine Realms and the formation of the Asgardian Empire, one that crumbled soon after its formation due to the intervention of the Celestials. However, the insult was given time and time again and the Lords of the Dawn had been looking for an excuse to destroy the Asgardians ever since, one that became even harder when the Æsir and Vanir came together to form the Asgardian race as it is today.
Perrikus would give his mother one bit of praise in her planning of the invasion of Asgard. She had met with the Lords of the Dawn, receiving their support that allowed them to amass a much larger force than most other Gods would be allowed to produce.
That support would not last, Perrikus knew that after their defeat, the Lords of the Dawn would make them pay. The only reason they were doing nothing right now was because they expected the Dark Gods to lose this war against the Olympians.
Perrikus intended to use the Citadel to help him defeat the Olympians and then, he'd let them face the brunt of the wrath of the Lords of the Dawn, the Majestor now the Majeston of the Dark Gods. He would have to deal with the Lords of the Dawn and Perrikus was happy to let him deal with them so that he did not have to.
It made submitting much easier to handle.
"Will such a force be a problem for the three of you?" Perrikus wondered, coming up to the three of them.
None of them said anything in response, Perrikus wondered if they could even talk at all. It wouldn't be problem if they could, though it would be an annoyance if he couldn't at the very least, direct them. Though from his observations, the only one that could was the Majestor.
"Hold back our worshippers." Perrikus ordered Adva who nodded her head. "Tokkots, hold back and start creating clones in case we need them. Slototh, Psyclops, you two come with me."
His intention was simple, with Psyklops at his side, he intended to take out Hades and Poseidon. With two of the so called Big Three out of the picture, it'd cripple the Olympians for years to come. Even then, if by some miracle they did succeed in defeating the Citadel and taking over the Dark Gods territory, it would not have equaled the cost paid.
So, here we are and the war against Olympus continues with the Dark Gods submitting to the Citadel. Some of you may be able to figure out who the three people are, but you all should be able to google Star-Stalker, Stardust and Terminus. This should give you an even greater understanding of just how powerful the Citadel is and by extension, the Majestor. Makor alone managed to body most of the Olympians with ease. The other three listed have their own histories in the marvel universe that make them serious powerhouses in their own rights. Yet each and every one of them answers to the Majestor. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed and if you have any questions or suggestions about the story or the harem, please let me know.
