Intelligent mobs were a thing in Sekai. Daiki remembers the lines the devs said, "We have an AI that is on par with smart decision making, we are going to apply this in the game features to give players a challenge every quest."

The Demonic Hounds started to make strategic plans on taking down Daiki, Daiki had planned on his own to win this quest uniquely.

An RPG can be won without taking any damage. A parry system was implemented on Sekai. If you learn the pattern you can parry the mob, causing a split-second stun and reset its agro for a second or two.

Daiki parried and managed to get his combos right, the hounds took around 12% damage per attack now. While casting Wicked Flames, he was very vulnerable.

A hound lunged at him, tearing his black shirt's sleeve and punctures were made in his arm from that bite.

Daiki managed to stab one hound when it pounced at him. Killing the hound but the internal bleeding started right after.

He started vomiting blood and nausea took place almost hitting the soil.

But he was not done yet, it was something challenging.

The two hounds sandwiched Daiki, pouncing from both sides.

Daiki's basic attacks were infused with mana, and the attack speed and crit rate of his sword increased.

He managed to stab a hound and killed him instantly, the next hound managed to grab his shoulder and started to bite the flesh.

Daiki cried in pain and suffering, he took his sword and poked the hound's eyes. The Hound backed off.

The sword almost broke, Daiki said, "Come you ass of a challenge."

With rage both sides charged at each other, Daiki managed to slide at the bottom splitting the hound's soft belly. The insides of the hound fell out and it died.

The campfire in the forest had the hound meat on the cooking stick. Sizzle sizzle the fat went dropping on the coal after the wood burnt away.

Even if it felt like eating a dog, it was still food.

The meat tasted good and he was surprised by how good it tasted.

He drank some water from his inventory and kept some for later.

He wanted to know what this new coat had.

Daiki woke up after hearing the alerts given by the system.

"What is it now?"

He got a mail, it was from an unknown entity.

Daiki opened the mail at midnight, it was a message a long one.

The silent ambience spooked him.

He read,

'Hello, Kamisato-san. I am one of the Gods of this world, also known as the developer. I have had you in an experiment of sorts, glad you didn't die. If you did, well your soul would perish and you will no longer be able to return. Kamisato-san, listen very carefully. If you die, you die there is no coming back.

If you want to return to reality, there is no going back. This is your reality, the world of 'Sekai' is real. This world has no NPC, everyone is alive and so are you.

If you ask me why you get these messages, this screen, and this game sort of feeling is because of the illusion you are having. Apart from that, pain, death, and feeling, all is real. The real answer lies after you defeat the demon lord. If you want the answer, defeat the strongest entity in Sekai. The answers will I say.'

Daiki said to himself,

"Need sleep, survive and defeat demon lord priority later."
