"WHAT THE..." was the first thing the batarian said as he entered the room. He immediately pulled out his pistol and started shooting at me. However, my shields absorbed the shots without any issue, only dropping by 10%. I turned my head to face him and saw his twisted expression. He tried to reload his pistol while backing away, but I calmly turned and shot him right in the chest. The shot went right through him, and he fell to the floor like a sack of potatoes. I... I was just trying to come to my senses. I couldn't believe I had done it. I had killed her. Yes, I had killed those batarians... Killed the slavers... They deserved it... They all deserve it!
I will kill them all! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!!
As soon as I stepped out of the room, I quickly shot two batarians who were in the hallway. Moving further, I turned right and saw that I was heading towards a barracks, or something similar, as I saw a room full of bunk beds through an open door. But there were only a few batarians there. Most likely, I had already killed the majority of them on the frigate. Entering the barracks, I was immediately met with gunfire from five barrels. I took down the first one with a pistol straight away. Then the second one, who tried to throw a grenade. Two seconds later, the grenade exploded, and the shrapnel blast, equivalent to 1 kg of TNT, hit a nearby batarian, tearing off his leg. SERVES HIM RIGHT!!! SERVES THEM ALL RIGHT!!! Only two remained, and then my shield went down. Several bullets hit my plating but didn't penetrate anything vital.
I immediately flipped one of the beds over and took cover behind it. Then I popped up and shot the batarian who tried to flank me. Only one left. He tried to pelt me with grenades. In two seconds, he threw three shrapnel grenades at me, but I wasn't going to wait. I simply jumped over the bed and ran towards the batarian while firing on the move. I only hit him on my third shot. The shot went straight into his nose and pierced his head through. Then a powerful explosion happened right behind me. The blast wave threw me towards the door on the opposite side of the barracks. But, as a geth, I didn't lose consciousness, so I quickly got up and opened the door. It was a corridor, and beyond it was another door. Maybe it was an armory? It doesn't matter! I have to kill them all! Every single one of them!
However, behind the door awaited a surprise. It wasn't an armory, but an office. Inside, there was a television, a desk, a few chairs, a computer, and various other miscellaneous items. There was also a special terminal for accessing the extranet. Yes, the same "doughnut" from the first Mass Effect. But there was something else. Breathing. An accelerated heartbeat. Someone was here. And there was only one place this someone could be hiding. Approaching the desk, I pushed it aside with both hands and immediately struck the batarian who was hiding behind it with full force.
"Ouch, damn it!" the batarian cried out, and I kicked away the pistol he had been waiting for me with.
"Well, now let's talk."
"What the... You're... You're a get! Aoooorrrkhh-kh-kh..." he began, just as I kicked him in the stomach. "What...kh-kh-kh... What do you want?"
"Where has the ship with the cargo gone?" I knew what the cargo was, but I didn't know where it was headed. And I wanted to save them. I had to save them! At least them!
"To Kar'shan. To the slave market. But it won't help you! It's too late..."
"What do you mean?" I didn't understand.
"Well, these slaves are a cover for the Hegemony. They demand half of our earnings from all trade. Drugs, slaves, loot from ships and colonies. From everything! So, I came up with a cover. On that ship, there are 50 slaves... slave girls... And 10 tons of red sand. My guys have already attacked them... Slaves are expendable, sand goes to Omega, and everyone's happy... And the Hegemony only finds out that we were robbed and lost our goods. Their intelligence is terrible anyway... Heh, I've been fooling them like this for three years. Idiots," indeed, a good scheme. This scumbag... just casually killing 50 slaves to avoid sharing with the Hegemony.
"I see," I continued. "And why did you need that quarian girl? Huh?"
"Q-quarian... She was just here, passing by, so we caught her to prevent her from exposing us. We were planning to sell her... to the fleettttaaaaa-aa-aa-aa-aaaa..." As soon as I grabbed his finger and began to twist it, he immediately screamed.
"If you try to lie to me, you'll have not five fingers on your hand, but four. And not whole ones, just four. Do I make myself clear?
"Fine, fine! The guys used her, I allowed it, to relieve stress and tension... Aaaaah, and I used her a couple of times, couldn't resist." After these words, I let go of his finger. And then, an uncontrollable rage overcame me. Rage at this scumbag for that quarian girl. What had she done to deserve this? She had most likely just embarked on her Pilgrimage, and then suddenly, her life ends like this... Damn, how can people be such scumbags?! Anger eventually clouded my reason, and I just broke his arm at the forearm. Two bones now protruded from his arm, and he began to scream in agony.
"What did she do to you, huh?! WHAT?! What was she guilty of? You don't want to share your logic with me?! NO?! WHY IS THAT? WHAT, DOES YOUR ARM HURT?! NO PROBLEM!!! LET'S TREAT IT WITH SHOCK THERAPY!!!" With these words, I broke his other arm in the same place and then started on his legs. I broke the first leg and twisted it so that he could touch his stomach with his entire foot. I broke the second leg in two places, the femur. Batar just couldn't scream any louder. I started to think he was about to cry. But I couldn't enjoy it. It wasn't enough! All of this was just a small part of what they had done to that girl. She was innocent! And them... With these thoughts, I stepped on Batar's ribcage, causing the bones to crack.
"You really are a scumbag," I began in a dry voice, which, even though it was synthetic, was still filled with my hatred. "It's a shame I physically can't spit on you right now, even though I really want to, you bastard." After that, I went to the mini-bar that I hadn't noticed earlier since it was in the corner. Taking the strongest drinks from there, specifically turian whiskey and krogan ryncol, I opened both and poured them all over Batar.
"What... What do you want to do?"
"What you deserve," I said, then took a silver lighter from the mini-bar, flicked it, and carefully lit it since the lighter was beautiful. Batar screamed in agony and began convulsing on the floor. However, when I was about to sit down at the extranet terminal, I heard that his screams had stopped, but he was still alive. The fire had gone out, all of Batar's clothes were burnt, and now he had 2nd and 3rd-degree burns all over his body, with only melted pieces of clothing remaining. Batar was still alive, but I didn't feel any sympathy for him. To me, he was still a pathetic bastard who had destroyed so many innocent lives. So I decided to give him a choice. Taking his pistol, I shot him in the groin. He only managed to mumble something incoherent. Then, I went for the medigel that was in a first aid kit on the wall.
"You know, I'm just curious to see. You've taken so many lives, but can you take your own, knowing what future awaits you?" Batar just looked at me with an uncomprehending gaze from his one remaining eye. I simply threw the medigel into one corner of the room and the loaded pistol into another. "It's up to you—life or death." After that, I approached the terminal and picked it up. After all, I'm a geth, so I can easily carry such things around.
The last thing I saw was Batar starting to try to crawl, though I couldn't tell which direction he was going.
