After listening for so long, Rita's heart remained calm. After modifying Jameson's luck, she continued healing herself and trying to steal things from Jameson, but every attempt failed.
Jameson's words initially seemed flawless. His candidness in revealing his betrayal, and his lack of hesitation about his own motives, made his story seem more genuine. It made the listener trust the rest of the tale. People tend to trust someone who's brutally honest, even if they're a villain.
Rita, however, didn't show any emotion on the surface.
