Chapter 25: The Boss

I screamed in pain as I turned. It was 10 minutes of pain. Then it was quiet for a minute then I made a loud sound. I looked at my hands and feet. Then Zaira did some magic so I could see myself. I Backed away from everyone and ran. For some reason I was running towards the Boss's place.

I was getting tired and not getting far. I was slowly turning back and ready to pass out. Before I blacked out I saw Zaira. "we need to wait until he wakes up to head home. Give him a day." Then the rest of them rested on one of Zaira's clouds.

Finally day came. It was around noon when Narvi woke up. "Hmm. Was that a dream?" "I'm afraid not. Good. Now that I have this power I'm heading back to where Boss is." "Woah slow down there kid." Said Ash. "You must be weak from turning into whatever you were back there." "I'll be fine. Plus Lycan will be with me right?" Ash looked at Lycan. "Sure. It's a stupid idea I can't leave you behind." "There see." Fine we will follow you at a safe distance. WE were only a day away from home now we have to go back." Said Ash. Zaira gave us a ride there so we can rest for 3 days.

After the second day I was refreshed. "In about a day I will give you directions on where to go." I said. "Ok that's fine. Do you know how to trigger it now?" "No but since you awakened it I am sure I will figure it out."

Finally a day later I guided her to where we needed to go and told her here was good. "Ok here is a good place to wait for us." "Be careful ok?" "Yeah sure. Come on Lycan lets go." Once we got there I yelled "I'm back and ready for action! Where is the Boss?" Then the boss popped out. "You can take care of the others I will take care of the boss." "Don't take too long." Once I found the boss I don't know what I did but I turned into the creature again. "So your true form is finally here huh?" "y you have no idea." I fought him until I pinned him down. "You have 2 choices. Let the ones who want to go free and not kill them or I kill you which is it?" "Wait is that all you want? So be it." "Also you are to stop looking for me and getting people to look for me or next time I won't be so generous." I saw the fear in the boss's eyes. Then I helped Lycan once the boss was getting things done.

"Everyone Stop the fighting this instant!" Then everyone stopped. I need everyone in the room now! I have something to talk to you about." Then they all followed boss but not without trying to get Lycan or me hurt of killed. One of them scratched me. Lycan saw what happened and punched him in the face. The man held his face and followed the rest. We waited by the door where the room is for meetings until the others went out.

(In the room with everyone.)

"Everyone. I have come here to tell you I have failed. Those of you who want to be free stand on one side. The others who want to stay on another. Half of them wanted to stay the other half wanted to be free including clean freak. "Sigh I didn't know you all felt unsafe here. You may go if you want. I just want to say if you ever come back it won't be easy. Unless I happen to visit a place where any of you are, I…Don't want to see you here again. Make a life for yourselves and be happy. Clean freak I just wanted to say you were a good awesome boss. Be safe out there." "We will never forget you boss." "I'm sure you won't."

(Back outside with Narvi and Lycan.)

We saw people coming out. "Ah about time he let the people out." Once we thought everyone was out, we went in. "Boss are these the ones who chose to stay?" "Yes they are." "Mind if I talk to you alone Boss." "Uh go ahead everyone go to your rooms." "Yes Boss." Then I told Lycan to be at the door and he nodded. "So. I'm sure you want to Know what I am going to ask." "Its about your power right?" "Yes. I doubt it was for power something else is going on. What is it?" "Ok you caught me. Sigh. I am getting old. Its my son. He is the same creature as you are like I said you are rare. My son is the only other one I know of. He won't talk to me because he thinks he is the only one in the world like himself." "If I do this No more killing and recruiting people to kill alright? Not unless its to protect. Where is this son of yours? Go to the village that was attacked. That your temporary family lived before they will killed. Ask for Zander." "Sigh do you want me to bring him here or for you to go over." "I'd rather go there. Its safer that way." "Lets go. We have another trip to take. Its not far just the village not far from here." "Wait you mean that village that was attacked awhile back?" "Yeah why?" "Sigh it was once my home. I'll follow." Then he followed me to the village.

We got to the village and asked around for Zander until we found someone who knew who he was. "Are you looking for Zander?" "Yeah I'm an old friend of his. He is a little sick right now but you are welcome to visit him." "Thank you." So the person guided me to his house. "My name is Tammy. I am his aunt." "Thankyou. I am Narvian Dragonblood. I go by Narvi. "Oh my Prince." "Its ok no need for formalities. This is Lycan he used to live here." "GO inside I'll show you to his room."

We followed her to his room and she knocked on it. "Zander. Its Aunt Tammy. You have visitors." "I don't want any visitors." Lycan join them in the living room I will be right out." "Ok." Then they went to the living room and I went inside.

"Hello Zander. I know you don't want any visitors but I thought you might want to see me." "Um your highness. I'm so sorry. I did not know it was you." Then he kneeled. "Woah easy now. Your sick. I can see it." "I'm sorry." "Its ok. Do they know what it is?" "Yes its my other power that hasn't awakened yet." "I see. I have an idea. Let me talk to your auntie and parents and see if I can get you out. I can help you. Don't ask how. I will explain it when we go out ok?" "Ok."

"Hello everyone." "Your Highness." "NO please all of you no bowing or kneeling. I have a favor to ask." "Sure what is it?" "I think I can help your son." "How can you help him?" "Well come with us I can show you. I am the same creature as he is." "Ok everyone lets go." Said Tammy. I piggybacked the kid with me since he was weak.

This should be a good spot. "Ok Kid. Just to give you a little bit of facts. You will not look like me but you won't be far off. According to someone I know we are the only two out here." "Ok sure." Then finally I was able to turn at will. "Woah that was cool." I said out loud not knowing. "Its ok I won't attack." Zander went up to me and touched my face. "It feels scaly. "Yes its because it is. Now while I am in this form maybe you can try to get in your new form?" "I don't know how." "Oh right um. Well I didn't at first. My friend Zaira woke mine up but then when I fought I was able to bring it out on my own. Now I can just turn easily. How old are you kid?" "I'm 18." "Oh is that so? My friend Lycan here is the same age. Ok so when I turned to this form and thought about something I desperately wanted to do I turned. I warn you though it will be painful. Mine was really bad because mine was built up for years. Just warning you." "Ok." We saw the kid close his eyes and think. About a few minutes later we saw him forming.

"Keep going kid. You are doing good." Then finally he was done. "Ok kid open your eyes." He did and was shocked. "Woah I did it." He looked at his hands and feet. Then looked behind himself. "Well do I look like you?" Well you have the same features just different color. Now you should feel sick anymore. Uh can I have your permission to go running with him?" "Sure we will be here." "Ok cool we will be back." Then we both ran.

"Woah your fast Narvi." "Yeah you can too. Try." Then he ran too and almost fell I caught him. "Ok lets head back." Then we ran back. "Ok kid form back. Just think of your normal form." Then we both turned back. "Ok there is something else I need to tell you. Your father wants to see you." "I feel bad I said those things to father. Do you think he will forgive me?" "I know he will. Would it be ok if he came back?" "yes I would love to see my husband again. Every since he got sick we were never able to see him." "Ok I will be let him know its ok. I won't be coming with you. Lycan and I headed back to boss. Once we told him the news he thanked me and we shook hands. Then we headed back to the other 2.

"We're back. Sorry it took so long. lets go home." Zaira you got energy to take us back home?" "Yes just rest." "Ok here are some clouds hop on." I fell asleep almost instantly.

2 Days later Narvi woke up. "Hmm. We aren't home yet?" "Almost. You can get more sleep if you need too." "No I'm good. Can you go full speed ahead?" "Ok hang on tight everyone we are going full speed. Then she went faster and we were there in a half a day. We got down in front of the castle door. "Sigh. Ok. Here we go." The doors opened for us and we went in. "Everyone we are back." When Talia heard his voice she came running. "Narvi honey you are back!" she ran over and squeezed me. "Ow ok I'm fine. Relax." "Is he ok?" "Yes he is fine." "Oh good." "Where are the kids?" "They will be here shortly. Oh here they are." "Daddy!" The kids came at me at once and knocked me down. "Good to see you too kids." I gave them a group hug and said, "Aiden have you been taking care of your brother and sisters?" Then Talia came over. "Yes he has been a big help to mommy right kiddo?" "Yes I have." "Do you have to leave again?" "No not any time soon don't worry. Hopefully we will have some peace for time to come."

"Excuse me Prince and Lycan. We have some people here that say they know you." "Where are they?" "They are outside the palace gates." "Its ok everyone don't worry." Lycan and I went to the gate and saw the people that boss let go at the gate including clean freak. "Hello everyone. What are you all doing here? Didn't he let you go off on your own?" "Yes he did." Then I looked around to see who it was. "Clean freak." "He did let us go. Since you were the reason he let us go, we thought maybe we can serve here somehow. If that is ok with King Ash." "Well I don't see why not. As long as you don't cause trouble. Come on follow me. We will go in a room to talk about the jobs you are going to do." "As for where you will live, we will get some rooms ready."

They followed Ash to a room big enough for all of us to fit. "OK so Clean freak what is your real name?" "Well since I don't work for him anymore I can use it. My name is Michael. Michael Alvina." "Excuse me? Did you say Alvina?" "Yes is that a problem?" "No its just that name sounds really familiar. Who were or are your parents?" "Um my parents are still alive as far as I know. My father name is Zeel and my mothers name is Ari." "Hmm. Just as I thought. I know your parents. Do they know you are ok?" "I haven't seen them since I have been safe now." "Well before you start work I would like them to come here and let them know you are ok now." "Yes sir." "Well as for your job you definitely won't be a knight. Not a butler. "Hmm. Lets see. I know. It might be hard with your cleaning obsession but would you want to be one of my sons personal assistant?" "Well I can tell you it will help a little with my cleaning problem. The women who want to be gardeners I will have Lycan escort you. Did I get everyone?" "Looks like it." Then lets go. "Uh right. Michael follow me." So he followed Ash to his office.
