'So do I have to handle this girl too? Agh!'
He still kept his smile on and looked at the other boy.
He was wearing a casual suit which wasn't that luxurious. So it wasn't hard to realise he might be a servant.
'A servant? But he is still a child.'
Seeing Henry looking at the boy, the girl introduced him again, helping Henry.
"Why are you looking at him? Don't you remember him? Last time, I said my father went to buy me a slave. This is it."
She looked very proud. But Henry was disgusted by that. How could they sell children as slaves?
"Oh...Why did you come here?"
Henry was having a headache because of these people. He was annoyed enough at that moment.
"Why are you asking like that? Of course, I came here to see the beggar your father brought."
'Here we go again! Does she have a death wish?'
Henry looked at the girl who was still smiling as if she was the best girl around there. Henry wanted to pinch her a little since his parents hadn't disciplined her well.
"What beggar?"
He asked with a surprised look. Maybe that Pinky was annoyed by his question so her words got even wilder.
"I heard your father brought a beggar girl from nowhere to the mansion. I want to teach her a lesson so that she would keep her place in her mind."
No one knew at that time, Ricarda was watching and also overhearing them. She accidentally saw them and just hid. When she accidentally heard her telling about a beggar she knew it was about her. She got a little curious about how others thought of her, so she stayed there listening to them.
"Lady Maleena...I don't understand why you are so interested in other family things. But I would like to remind you that you are going too far. There are no beggars here and you don't have to teach anyone any lesson."
The little girl flinched and her face flushed in embarrassment.
"Henry! How dare you talk to me like that? I am gonna complain to the duke!"
"What duke?"
"Your father!"
"Oh...Then go on. I also want to see how he will react when heard that someone called his daughter a beggar."
Henry smirked at her childish look and turned to leave.
"If you have nothing important, don't come here whenever you want. It's annoying."
Henry left her there and left for his room. Martha also followed him inside.
"You-"
She also left in anger. But she wasn't gonna let go of it that easily. Henry had been listening to him and obeying her every order all this time. But how come he suddenly changed right after that girl entered their mansion?
She thought it was Ricarda who turned him against her. From then on, she held grudges against Ricarda who she had never seen.
'Fucking hell! These children should be sent to jail. How can they be this different? They don't look like children at all.'
He couldn't believe how anyone could spend his childhood peacefully in that world.
Compared to them, he felt like those crybabies and annoying kids were better.
'I will only lose my hearing. But if I stay here with them, I might lose my life very soon.'
He looked at the goosebumps on his body. He rubbed his hand and asked Martha to go back and he wanted to stay alone.
He still had things to plan.
"Young master! Young master!"
Just when he laid down, Martha came back there calling for him.
'What is it now?'
He just wanted to die again.
He looked at Martha who was standing on the doorstep with a letter in her hand. She looked very happy as her face drew a smile.
"Young master, you got selected!".
She shouted happily while Henry watched her with confusion.
"For what?"
'To get killed again?'
"Young master, it's the invitation letter from the Academy of Capital. You got selected to the academy."
Henry got the letter and read it as he started getting another headache.
'What the fuck! Magic academy? Do I have to study here too? Agh!'
He thought since it was all about the magic he wouldn't have to attend any school or he never heard of any school. But what was this then?
"Do I have to attend it every day? And is the capital far from here?"
Martha looked at him in disbelief.
"Young master, the capital is very far from here. You will have to stay at the academy and attend the classes. And as I heard, every student there has to attend the academy for four years."
'Four years?!'
Seemed like he would have to study until he died.
But for some reason, he felt excited about this thing.
It was all about magic. Even the academy has the word magic in front of it.
The main reason he liked this story was also because of those magical things. So wouldn't it be amazing to learn magic? He felt the excitement flowing through his body.
'Okay, challenge accepted! I am gonna attend this academy. At least, I can learn to save myself. And I might be able to find a lot of things I wasn't able to.'
"It says the academy starts next week. So shouldn't I be preparing to leave now?"
"Yes!"
Martha immediately stood up and ran out of his room. He looked at her, behaving like a child, and couldn't help but feel a little calm. He again laid down on the bed and closed his eyes.
But why was it every time everyone had something to do with him?
"Henry..."
It was Ricarda, this time.
"Ah...Ricarda, why are you here?"
He got up and welcomed her. She looked at the letter in his hand and parted her lips to say something.
But, that one guy Henry didn't want to see, had returned to the mansion instead of going to his business.
"The duke has arrived!"
