You dare to judge me?

Arvish and Maria ran through the vast open space, their feet pounding against the ground. They had been on the run for what felt like hours, but they knew they couldn't stop yet. Their pursuers were hot on their heels, and they had to keep moving if they wanted to survive.

As they sprinted, they heard the sound of an engine rumbling in the distance. They looked up to see a car jumping over a dune, with Gorgon driving and two other men on the back, wielding nets and weapons. They hollered and spun their weapons in the air, signaling their intent to capture Arvish and Maria.

Maria looked at Arvish and yelled, "Split up!" They veered off in opposite directions, hoping to throw off their pursuers.

The car followed Arvish, but one of the men jumped down and ran after Maria.

Meanwhile, Arvish continued to run for his life as the car approached him. He knew he had to dodge it, or he would be flattened. At the last second, he jumped out of the way, narrowly avoiding being hit. The other gang member jumped off the car and drew a crossbow-like weapon attached to his arm.

The gang member sneered at him, saying, "You thought I would fight you up close?" he laughed.

Arvish's heart sank. He had relied on his prosthetic arm to give him an advantage in close combat, but now it was useless.

The gang member aimed and shot. Arvish took a roll on the ground, evading the shoot and simultaneously the car that was still circling around him with Gorgon behind the wheel.

Arvish had to think fast if he wanted to survive. He watched as the gang member reloaded his weapon, it was a slow process. He had to crank back the string, place the bolt, and only then could he take aim. It was the perfect opportunity for Arvish to strike.

With a burst of adrenaline, Arvish rushed towards his opponent. But his enemy had already taken aim and fired. The bolt had hit his prosthetic arm, lodging itself in the machinery and rendering his elbow immobile.

Arvish swung at the gang member with all his might, but the man was not stupid. He quickly dodged and backed away.

Arvish was in a life-or-death situation, and he needed to level the playing field. He came up with something. It wasn't a noble tactic, but he knew that he had to do whatever it takes to come out on top. He has to use a ranged weapon too.

He evaded the car again, quickly knelt down and scooped up some dirt from the ground.

The gang member was reloading his crossbow, a cocky grin on his face. Arvish had to act fast. He charged forward, the dirt in his hand, and threw it at the man's face.

The gang member yelled out, his eyes temporarily blinded by the sand.

Arvish didn't waste a second. He lunged forward and tackled the man to the ground, pinning him down. He grabbed the man's weapon and fired it at the car, shattering the windshield. It missed Gorgon, but he slammed on the brakes in response to the sound of breaking glass, bringing the car to a screeching halt.

The gang member he had tackled suddenly pulled out a knife. Arvish's reflexes kicked in, and he slapped the man with his prosthetic hand, the force of the blow causing the man's neck to snap out of place.

Arvish turned to face Gorgon, who was still behind the wheel of his car, revving the engine in anticipation. Arvish could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he took a deep breath and prepared himself for the oncoming vehicle.

He gripped the bolt tightly and tried to pull it out, but it refused to budge. Arvish gritted his teeth and yanked harder, feeling a rush of air escape as it finally came loose. But he knew immediately that something was wrong. There was a strange feeling in his arm, and when he moved it, his forearm jerked.

He watched as the car barreled toward him, its tires screeching as Gorgon cackled maniacally from behind the wheel. Arvish could see the glint of madness in his eyes.

With a fierce determination, Arvish took off running toward the car. As the two met, he gathered all his strength and slammed his fist into the front of the car with all his might.

As Arvish's fist connected with the front of the car, he felt a bone-crunching impact reverberate through his arm.

The force of the collision sent the car careening out of control, the tires screeching in protest as it spun wildly through the air.

Arvish watched in horror as the metal behemoth seemed to hover for a moment, suspended in midair, before it came crashing down to the ground with a deafening roar.

Sparks flew as the car skidded along the ground, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. The noise was overwhelming, a cacophony of screeching metal and breaking glass.

After he took out the car, Arvish knew something was wrong, and as he tried to move his arm, he felt a sickening crack. His prosthetic elbow wasn't working anymore.

Arvish watched in horror as Gorgon emerged from the wreckage, his body battered and broken. The man was bleeding from several cuts and bruises, and his face was twisted into a grotesque mask of rage and disbelief.

Arvish could see the madness in Gorgon's eyes, and he knew that the man was capable of anything. Gorgon crawled towards Arvish, his movements slow and deliberate, as if he was savoring the moment. Arvish tensed, ready for whatever Gorgon might throw at him.

They locked eyes for a moment, each of them was ready to demolish the other.

Gorgon rushed towards Arvish with his serrated blade, his eyes filled with malice and his face contorted with anger.

"Give me your f*cking arm!" he shouted, his voice laced with desperation and anger.

Arvish backed away from every slash, he tried to use his prosthetic arm to defend himself, but it was not responding properly. Arvish found himself forced to back away from every slash, frustration mounting as he struggled to figure out what was wrong. He could move his fingers, but his forearm was not responding at all.

Despite being injured in the car crash, Gorgon was still determined to get Arvish's prosthetic arm, which he believed was the key to unlocking his vision.

As Gorgon made another powerless attack, Arvish grabbed his blade with his prosthetic arm.

"I need it," Gorgon gasped, his voice shaking with desperation. "Don't you understand?"

With a metallic clenching sound, Arvish's metal fingers closed tightly around the serrated edge of the blade.

Arvish shook his head, his eyes cold and unforgiving. "Your reign over others' lives ends now," he declared.

With one swift motion, the blade shattered into tiny little pieces that rained down onto the ground.

The metal fingers that had gripped the blade malfunctioned after that, freezing in place and refusing to respond to his commands.

Gorgon kneeled before him, defeated and fatigued. But despite his defeat, he still had a fire burning within him.

"You dare to judge me? Just because I had a vision, and you were too weak to see its merit." Gorgon spat, "A scared f*cker doesn't have the right to lecture me!"

Arvish's couldn't move his prosthetic arm, but he raised his it like an executioner's axe. "So be it," he said.

But before he could deliver the final blow, a voice cried out.

"Arvish!" Maria's voice rang.

Arvish's heart raced as he spun around to see her held captive in a net by one of Gorgon's gang members.

Gorgon smirked at him, clearly pleased with the turn of events. "How the tables have turned," he taunted. Slowly, he got up and dusted himself off, then raised his hand out. "Your hand, if you don't mind," he said cockily. "Or the woman will die."

Arvish's mind raced as he assessed the situation. He knew he couldn't give up his prosthetic arm even in this condition, maybe it could be easily fixed. It was more than just an appendage to him. It represented his freedom and his ability to fight back against the injustices of the world. Without it, he would be living like a zombie again, unable to defend himself or those he cared about.

"Give it to them," Maria pleaded. "It's just an arm."

But Arvish shook his head, his eyes fixed on Gorgon. "I can't," he said firmly. "I won't."

Gorgon just chuckled, clearly enjoying the power he held over Arvish. "Listen to your gal, lad," he added. "She's smarter than you are."

Arvish swiftly assessed the situation and formulated a plan of action. Without hesitation, he grabbed Gorgon's hand and pulled him in close, trapping him in a chokehold with his normal hand. To further intimidate Gorgon, Arvish raised his prosthetic hand as a bluff, hoping to dissuade any resistance.

"Let go of Maria," he growled at the gang member. "Or your leader's head will come off."

The gang member stood in silence, still processing the situation. Arvish could feel Gorgon struggling in his grip, trying to break free. But he held on tight, determined to save Maria.

Arvish leaned in close to Gorgon's ear and whispered, "I know that to you, your life is worth more than this."

Gorgon's struggles ceased for a moment, and Arvish could feel the man's breathing start to slow. He knew he had struck a nerve.

"Let her go," he said, his voice low and deadly.

The gang member hesitated for a moment longer, then finally nodded. With a swift motion, he cut the net holding Maria captive, and she stumbled forward, her eyes wide with fear and relief.

Arvish released Gorgon. He felt down to the ground, broken from his failure.

Maria ran up to Arvish, her voice shaking with fear. "What are you doing? Kill them, or they will come back to bite you in the ass."

Arvish shook his head, his eyes blazing with determination. "No, I said he will live for your life in exchange. I am a man of my word."

Maria just shook her head then started to run off, and Arvish took a couple of seconds to compose himself before joining her.

Gorgon stood up and shouted after him, "One day I will have that arm! You hear me, Arvish?"

The gang member stepped to him, his eyes filled with fear. "What do we tell the others?"

Gorgon put his broken blade tin the gang member's neck, unable to risk any gossip. The gang member had a surprised face as Gorgon twisted the blade in his throat, then pulled out. Blood splashed like a fountain. The gang member softly thudded on the wet dirt from the blood.

"We tell them nothing," Gorgon growled.
