Prologue

Year 1235 of the new calendar, a year, marked for one specific event known as "The Omen".

It was the year when Sumad Astron, the greatest seer of mankind met his end.

With the use of his ability "Vision", the seer rose to prominence by successfully predicting disasters and monster overflows that saved many human lives. His ability was also vital in locating hidden talents that were on the last throes of their existence, and could have helped humanity in its war against the monsters if their life weren't snuffed out before they could spread their wings. The most famous perhaps would be the "Hero" of the west, which later on became one of the four kings of humanity.

At the age of 212, Sumad is in fact, far removed from the end of his lifespan, as the presence of mana in the world lead to a higher life expectancy for humans. But due to the gravity of what he wanted to see, his demise was to be expected.

June 12, 1235. 4:45 PM.

A rather tall man could be seen inside of a study full of books scattered all over. Bits and pieces of papers were everywhere, and pieces of furniture are all out of place. In the middle of the room, in front of a floating parchment and quill, the man was standing still, with a faraway look in his eyes.

All of a sudden, green smoke floats around his body and his eyes turns a ghastly shade of green. The man seems to convulse and writhe in agony as visions of the "future" swarms him. His green shirt and grey scarf was obliterated in an instant, and his scrawny torso was shown for the world to see, though an audience, he has none.

The quill moves over the parchment frenziedly, as words, albeit gibberish to future readers, were written.

The parchment slowly falls unto the ground, along with the man. As the last vestiges of life was apparent on his eyes, somebody rushed into the room and saw the utter chaos inside, as well as the man on his last ropes.

This was the day the world mourned. It was also the last of the man known for the accuracy of his visions, and was one of the pillars of humanity.
