A good deed
Eversince the argument they had, Jess had been more forthcoming with Jason. The news of Jen and Chris engagement, made others teased her about her turn but she is in no hurry. Jason and her both had a heartfelt discussion and they both felt they are not ready for a lifetime commitment yet to each other. They do care and like each other but they aren't sure if they want to spend the rest of their life together. They are still at the stage of adjusting to each others temperament and behaviour. They are still checking their compatibility and suitability. Jason's parents had been rushing him to get married and had been thrilled to know he finally had found someone who is willing to be his girlfriend. They were worried that their son was in love with Derek.
They had been pestering him to marry fast but was ignored by him. Jason explained that he is serious about Jess but they are both not ready for the next big step. His mother twisted his ear and scolded him by comparing him to Derek. "Ouch, mother, let me go. Derek is an anomaly, how many people get married after a brief months of dating, plus, what he and Jade went through, I won't consider it a date. Both of them are weird and inhuman. In this era, a lot of couple take their time to decide and both of you need to respect our wishes, it is not just me hesitating, she is not ready yet as well." Jason said as he rubbed his pained ear lobe.
"It just means you are not up to her standard, please work harder, how many woman is willing to tolerate you and your behaviour plus your obsession with Derek? Tell me." Jason's mother continue to nag.
"Why is it that you find your own son so undesirable? I have many good qualities, okay.." Jason continued to argue back while shamelessly listing all his good qualities and in the end, the discussion ended without any conclusion.
In a dense reserved forest someplace in Singapore, two figures hidden underneath a huge boulder can be seen snuggling in each other embrace while gazing at the million stars that lightened up the skies. The stars represents their new life, a new journey and freedom. Vivian a.k.a Crystal was fortunate to have done a good deed to a man few years ago. He was robbed and was wandering the streets in Russia and she happened to bumped into him and she was in a high mood that time, so, when he reached out for help, she tossed him a stash of cash and in exchange he gave her his name card, for her to claim back her money but she did not call back. Little did she know her act of kindness made it possible for him to return on time to meet his dying mother for one last time. Ever since then he had never forgotten her kind act. She was cleaning out her purse when she came across his card and decided to give him a call. He made their plans possible to carry out. He informed them a safe place for landing and prepared them supplies to survive the night and tomorrow he will meet them to lead them the way out.
Vivian suddenly remembered a quote her teacher used to say, "A tree is known by its fruits, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love." She vows to do more good deeds in the future, since, she had been given a second chance in life. She would not put it to waste. She will cherish this second chance of hers. Next stop is for them to change their face via plastic surgery, and they will need a new identity. She did not managed to get through Derek but Jade had replied and is willing to help with their new identity. They decided to move out of Singapore and planning to move to Vietnam.
Lee Han Ping met the bomb expert and the bomb expert informed that he will need at least a week to craft the bomb that meet his requirements. Lee Han Ping is willing to wait, meanwhile, he had been trying his best to make contact with Jade and Father Lee, in order for his plan to succeed, he needs their presence, if possible voluntary but if all else failed, he will have them kidnapped against their will. Either way, they have to be present.
Heather was busy with her own business preparation, now that Crystal and Tom is dead, her heart is much lighter and she had been in good spirits. She is counting on Lee Han Ping to succeed as well, it would safe her a lot of energy and resources if Lee Han Ping could kill all the annoying pests disturbing her happiness. Derek's ground team men managed to insert themselves into the catering and technical team for Heather's dinner banquet. Kwi Shan is also hard at work in preparation for Jade's big present for Heather. Everybody is engross in their plans and it is unsure who will come out a winner.
