We'd walked around the market for a while and eventually, Lauren had seen fit to pull me away to the side.
"Look, I know you're a guy and guys on the by and large aren't really that into this sort of thing, but Tristan, we need to update your wardrobe," She said, looking over my outfit critically.
Now, personally, I didn't see anything wrong with my outfit in the slightest. A nice comfortable pair of jeans, strong workers boots, an old shirt and a light jumper to top it all off.
"Hey, what's wrong with my clothes?" I asked, immediately on the defence.
"Well… Nothing I guess. They're just… well… you know?"
"I know, do I?"
"They're very you… Very cautious. I mean, I like how cautious you are don't get me wrong. Definitely adds a valid element to the group," As she spoke she looped her arm through mine, an act which made my heart begin to pound.
