The Wolf Who Cried Witch

Gavin Hawthorne is the second alpha prince of the Moon Valley Kingdom, an established place for both werewolves and humans, said to be protected from the creatures they consider heartless and evil: witches. After an incident in his childhood where he has been abducted, Gavin starts to dream of things he doesn't understand, though all of them are suppressed by the medicine the Alpha King advises him to take. On an event that pushes him to a quest to find the cure for his poisoned elder brother, the First Prince, Gavin slowly begins to unravel the mysteries about his dreams, about witches, and about the person closest to his heart, Carrie Dwight, the adopted daughter of one of the Alpha King's concubines and rumored to have a "fake" soul after having once resurrected from the dead during her childhood. Together, Gavin and Carrie would realize that only by knowing the darkest shades of the moon, of prophecies and destinies, would they be able to protect the person they treasure the most from the world that questions people's identities and values through origins and blood, time and time again... * * * It is hate between two origins and love that goes beyond what fate dictates. This is a story about alphas falling in love with people regarded as evil creatures for many centuries. Their journeys are rough, full of betrayal and longing. Still, they take their strength fueled by their blood and their love that wouldn't back down. But this kind of attachment ― where exactly is it headed? That destination seems too far away... Too unclear, strange, and frightening... But if that means I can see you again, nothing will be able to stop me. Not even my own kind. For you, I'm ready to paint the entire world with blood... In a world full of creatures that continue to dictate people's values through origin and blood, can love still find the light it wants to perceive? A wolf who cried witch. What kind of destination will they reach? ************************************************ NOTE: √ This story has 2 Main Couples (different stories but connected and following the same world and timeline; first is bxg, second is mxm/bl) Part 1 - The Moon Valley Kingdom; Gavin's Story (Finished) Part 2 - Land of Aegis; Gin's Story (Finished)

Moon Valley Kingdom

Sounds of horse gallops reverberated the entire vicinity as approximately thirty men gathered around and surrounded a woman in dirty, tattered clothes. From a glance, it was simple to see how powerful she was despite the appearance. This was evident as smoke continued to come out of her body, her red hair in messy braids falling like autumn leaves.

"Surrender yourself and His Majesty will give His mercy!" one of the men exclaimed, thrusting out his sword towards the woman.

The woman kept her head low, seemingly whispering something but could not even be heard. It couldn't, not by ordinary humans.

"Commander, s-she's using spells!!" One of the soldiers said in alarm, eyes full of fear.

Another stepped in, a visible scar on the side of his right eye, "Let me handle this, Commander. I will absolutely kill this woman! The kinds of them must vanish so that no evil may continue in this land!"

"Calm yourself, Donald. His Majesty said we should bring her alive," the Commander Chief exclaimed then faced the other men next to him. "Bring out the chains and tie her immediately!"

Five men quickly moved as they reached the woman on the ground. One of them caught sight of the woman's face and paused.

The soldier's eyes trembled as he looked at her, noticing the tiny drops falling from her golden, emerald eyes. But witches used magic that was evil and evil must perish as the higher ups always said. In the end, he lowered his head and continued to chain her, enough so it would be impossible for her to escape.

Unlike the dirt on her face, the dirt on humans could never compare. Likewise, however, they also never came into light.

"They always end up under the rag, always, always being swept off under the rag."

A woman wearing a thin nightgown spoke, her skin white and smooth, long black hair gently fell down past her shoulders. The candle light trembled inside the room and the other man, the soldier who had spoken about what happened earlier, stared at the woman in awe.

After a while, the man said, "You seem to know more about them the more you speak with the landlady. Not good. The Capital won't allow these kinds of words. Reah, it's better to be careful. How about you live in the forest for a while, until then..."

"Until then, what, Xander? How sure are you that the forest will be a safe place for those who know too much? We've been given this much luxuries because you're part of the Golden Knights. But you're aware, aren't you? The royal family is too fucked up in the heads. Every woman they have suspicions on is always being captured and for what reason? Because they think they are members of the Raven Clan," Reah exclaimed. Although she spoke softly, the anger in her eyes was evident and clear.

Xander glanced outside through the windows before moving closer to Reah. "The Raven Clan is an atrocious group. You do know how they killed numerous werewolves before. Even the Alpha King and Luna's children hundred years ago were captured and massacred in front of them and it is all done with the help of an evil power, of witches! How can they not be wary of this clan? Reah, this land we are living in, it is now at peace because of the Moon Valley's ruling."

"The Moon Valley Pack - even though it is now mixed with werewolves and humans - it is the most powerful pack, the most powerful kingdom. His Majesty, especially him, he is too... powerful. No one can defy him and his orders," Xander explained and with a sigh, added, "It isn't right to go against him. It's wrong..."

"It's not wrong, it's just dangerous. Those two are different things, Xander," Reah simply corrected.

The husband and wife exchanged looks, seemingly trying to understand their situation before they looked down, silently claiming defeat for the thousandth time. There was no way people could freely speak about such matters. As they had spoken about, it was too risky and no one could defy the King in this country.
