Chapter 10: Astral blessing

When I decided to perform the ritual I had already confirmed that my aunt Olivia would not be present because of her work and I was going to use this time to my advantage. I was going to perform a ritual which the book had only pictures of it. It was a ancient ritual not a lot of information was known about it but somehow I could instinctively understand it. To perform this ritual there were some steps you needed to follow.

First drawing the symbols, mathematical structures, runes and numbers everything need be accurate. One wrong part can have devastating consequences.

Second putting four candles representing cardinal directions in their place.

Third positioning something of extreme importance to the user in the core.

Fourth placing three candles around the core one symbolizing the universe the other position representing stars in it and the third candle representing oneself.

"sigh Ok I am ready"

"I am not nervous at all"

I stood in the center of the markings.

"I call upon Earth the mother who gifted magic.

I call upon the heavenly father who guards the laws of magic "I said in ancient language while waving my hands and wandlessly igniting the four candles at the same time.

"I call upon your powers may the Astral Gate open"

suddenly the flames turned purple

"here it comes "

I was extremely nervous. The truth is this ritual was never complete but when I looked at it I just felt this is how it should be done. Never in my entire life had I trusted my instincts but here was a magical world. A world that made considerable progress using intuition in fact the very first potioneers relied on their instinct.

"According to ancient laws I accept the the trials of the astral world"

The candle representing me and the one representing the universe ignited and the other flickered I could see an illusionary door in the flame

Suddenly an incredible ripple of energy came from the door and hit my mind I was struggling to stay conscious but I gritted my teeth. There was only one reason that instead of despairing I had continued to work hard in this universe and it was simple I wanted magic. So I persisted then suddenly the candle representing the stars ignited.

benedictio ex astris caeli

benedictio ex matre terra

benedicite mihi magicae supereminentem omnia

The last part of ritual could be said in any language but most wizards who still know rituals used Latin and today I was not going to test that.

Suddenly candles connected to each other and formed a pattern from the pattern a purple energy came out and started to fuse with me .I felt so comfortable. I lost consciousness and slept peacefully.
