Clyde stepped to the side to let Evelyn pass through the narrow doorway. She carefully stepped passed the threshold and was surprised to see the view. It stretched out farther than she would have imagined and she was blown away by the look of it.
"You can come here when you need to be alone or to think," Clyde said from behind her. "No one will bother you up here and it might help to ground you a bit to see more than just the insides of the castle."
Evelyn turned around to face him and smiled, "thank you. This is just what I needed," she said with a sigh.
"What is bothering you?" He asked.
Evelyn sighed and turned to face out once again. "I just do not understand my purpose here," she admitted quietly. "I never wanted to be a protector and I do not even know if I am good enough at what they are trying to teach me to be one."
