The teacher stood in the center of the room, her hands folded in front of her, observing the new students, a few of whom looked visibly intrigued. Her calm but clear voice rose softly above the murmur of students still talking among themselves.
"For the new ones, we always do two activities here," Calista explained, raising two fingers with composure. "The first is a meditation ritual. This will help us determine if any of you have an affinity with a particular element. It's a peaceful activity and requires inner silence. Over time, it will allow you to sense energies around you."
'Energies…? Why didn't she just say mana?' Anna thought, puzzled.
Calista paused, glancing at the children to see if she had captured their interest. The class was beginning to pay a bit more attention, at least among the new students, so the teacher continued with the second option.
