Whoa! There was a scream of someone falling through a door. Oh, it turned out to be the door that connected the link between Earth and the Eternal World. They had arrived at the Eternal World. Precisely in a beautiful mountain range with grasslands that spoiled the eyes.
"Whuaaa, I'm going to die!" Sophie shouted as she thought she had fallen.
"Hey! Look around you. You're not falling, but you're floating!" The pigeon said to Sophie.
"What? How did this happen? This is so weird! Is this the land of dreams? How can we walk with balance if we're floating like this?" Sophie wondered what was going on.
Sophie found that the situation here was very different from Earth. The gravity here was very weak. Suddenly, someone approached them.
"Yo, stranger! What are you doing here? You must be from a place very far from here. This is an island called 'Amoda'. On this island, everyone wears special shoes to be able to step on the ground so as not to float like you. Therefore, you must have come from somewhere else, since you are floating like that.
The dove responded to the girl, "Hello, Ms. Politeless! First of all, let me introduce ourselves, you can call me the bird or whatever you like. And this is ---I'm Sophie! That's right, we come from a place far, far away from here --Suddenly, a living root came out of the ground and attacked them, Sophie and the dove were hovering without a foothold. The dove dodge, but Sophie's leg is attacked by the root and wrapped tightly around it. Other roots attacked them as well.
"Argh! What is this?!! Someone!!! Help me!" --A very large bird flew up and approached Sophie who was being entangled, it tore at the root, making it stop wrapping around Sophie. Then the big bird throws the wild root back into the ground wildly. It turned out. The big bird was the tiny white dove. He transformed into a big, proud bird.
"Are you okay, Sophie? Asked the big bird.
"Yes, I'm okay! Thank you for saving me! Are you the dove?"
"Yes, I am! I am the dove!"
"How did you turn into a big bird?"
"Yes, that's how! Maybe it's one of the things I can do, after all this is a magical place. Anything can happen, right?" Said The Bird.
"That's right! But you better turn back into a little dove, because with this look you're not cute at all!" --Hey! Are you ignoring me? I ask again, what are you two strangers doing here?" Cut the girl that was watching Sophie and the bird.
The girl who came over to them was a beautiful woman who wore an eccentric outfit typical of this island called 'Amoda' She carried a small weapon that could absorb and condense air and then explode it with a shot.
"We are from Earth, The Milky Way galaxy. I came here for one purpose only, to find a miracle." Sophie replied.
"Well, you better come with me to the house to get some shoes that can make you walk properly on the ground! It's so annoying to see you floating around like that! And let me introduce you, I'm Saphire." Said the girl.
"Hmm. Alright. Take us to your house!" Sophie replied.
They departed. On the way, Saphire introduced everything about the island.
"You can find lots of unique things here that you might not have seen before at your place. The houses on this island all float off the ground, this is because the gravity here is so weak. The air here is so fresh, and everyone here uses flying vehicles up to the speed of light. The people here are very friendly but don't ever try to make trouble with the islanders because you can never go back to where your place is. Here, all races coexist. Each island in the 'Eternal World' has a leader who organizes the island. On this island, all artificial things are bound to float, only natural things can stand perfectly on the ground." Saphire introduced the contents of the island.
"Then why can't the residents step on the ground perfectly if they don't wear those special shoes?" The pigeon asked Saphire.
"Why are you asking that? Aren't humans also made?" Saphire replied.
Saphire led them to her house, and Sophie sat on the shoulders of the flying pigeon. Finally, they arrived at Saphire's house.
When they arrived, Saphire took the shoes and gave them to Sophie, and Sophie wear them.
"Wow! These shoes are so cool! Instead of they allow me to walk properly, they make my weight seem very light and add balance to my body." Sophie was very impressed when she put on the shoes.
"Okay! Now please sit down, I'd like to ask you a few questions!" Saphire said.
The pigeon had changed into its normal form, and then Sophie sat down.
"I'll get to the point. Why did you come here?" Saphire asked Sophie and Dove.
"As I said earlier. I came here in search of a miracle. I came here because I know that this is the land of miracles. I want to bring back someone who means a lot in my life. This pigeon used to be my lover named Asa, he was a human, then he died of cancer and reincarnated as a pigeon, he said. I was very surprised that reincarnation existed for real. Especially, I wanted to prove that this pigeon was Asa, and return him to being human." Sophie explained.
"Well, no wonder you came here looking for a miracle. You're not the first one who comes here looking for a miracle. But among the many people who come here, your reason and purpose for coming here are different from the others." Saphire replied and was slightly stunned by what she heard. Then she continued, "You know what? A lot of people have died because they had the desire to realize their dreams. Here (Eternal World). There is a big stinging tree called Thauma. It said that the tree exists in the middle of a lake with blue water. The Lake located on the island is called Lost Island. Many people have tried to go there, but no one has returned safely and was lost on the way." Saphire explained. Then "Do you still eager to go there?" Saphire asked.
After listening to Saphire's explanation, Sophie stood up from her seat and said, "Yeah! I understand the risks involved. After all, I've already started the journey. So, I'm going to keep going until the end." Sophie said it straightforwardly.
Suddenly, a pen fell out of her pocket. It instantly made Saphire quiet. Saphire looked at the pen for a moment, "What?!!! Isn't this the lost treasure of the Eternal World? How did you get this shit, Sophie?" asked Saphire as she realized how precious the pen was to this place. That was lost several hundred years ago. The pen has magical powers. That pen materializing images into something tangible. Long ago, this pen was used by the founding queen (the first queen) who ruled the entire Eternal World. However, no one knows the specifics of the pen's power." Saphire said.
"Materializing images into something tangible?" Sophie and the dove were surprised by Saphire's statement.
"Then, how does this pen work?" Asked the dove.
Without much ado, Sophie took the pen and got a piece of paper from the writing desk in the room, and drew Asa's face. Sophie drew Asa's face very close to the original, which was no surprise since her mother was a painter. A skill that was down from her mother. When Sophie finished drawing, nothing happened to the drawing, as Saphire said it could turn any drawing into reality. Sophie hoped that by drawing Asa on the paper, she could bring Asa back to her side. When she realized that nothing happens to the drawing, Sophie's tears welled up. This made her recall the sweet memories she had with Asa.
"What are you doing, Sophie? Have you gone mad?!! Of course, the picture would never have been real because he was by your side! From what happened, you should have realized that this dove was Asa! Why are you being so hard?!" Saphire shouted cuz she got annoyed that Sophie still can't accept what had happened. Then Saphire added, "Don't you care about the pigeon's present?!!! Why did you do that right in front of him?".
After hearing this, tears welled up heavier in Sophie's eyes. What Saphire said was a slaps for Sophie to wake her up from her slumber and then look back at her goal of proving and restoring the pigeon to human form. And after this happened, the doubts Sophie had about the dove that he was not Asa were gone, and she was convinced that Mr. White Dove was Asa. While this was happening, the dove just perched behind Sophie and watched her silently, as if it were a stiff pigeon. Then, Sophie turned toward the Dove and moved toward him. The Dove flew into Sophie's upturned hands. With her teary cheeks, Sophie said,
"Honey! I apologize for what I did, I doubted you! I'm so sorry!"
"Everything is fine my dear! I understand how you feel." The dove replied.
"Hey-hey! I don't like the scenery here. Don't you intend to discuss what will be our next move?" Saphire interrupted Mr. Pigeon and Sophie's conversation.
"We? What do you mean by 'what will be our next move?' Do you intend to go with us, Saphire?" said the dove.
"After I saw this girl was so whiny and timid. And she was only accompanied by a small bird. It seemed like someone like me should be her companion on the journey," Saphire said in a joking tone.
"Wow! Are you serious? Thank you so much for wanting to accompany us there, Saphire!" Sophie was very happy that Saphire was going to accompany her to find the tree.
"Hmm, well, I guess it won't be enough if it's just the three of us going to look for the damn tree. I'm going to get my best friend Risto to go with us. He'll be very useful on the way," Saphire said.
Then, Saphire contacted her best friend Risto through a sophisticated machine that could present the illusory form of the interlocutor. The call with Risto was connected.
"Risto is here! What's going on Saphire?! Why are you calling me?! Aw, I got you to have a visitor over there!" Risto said through the illusion transmitter.
"Yeah, buddy! It's a long story, haha. I need you to come with me, and you gotta go here right now?! I'll explain it later." Saphire replied.
"Okay, buddy! Just give me a second. I'll be right there!" Risto said.
Shortly after the conversation, someone knocked on the door. Then Saphire went there to open it. Oh, it was Risto. Sure enough, at a crazy speed, Rispo arrived at Saphire's house right after she ended her conversation. Very impressive.
"Let's go inside, buddy!" Saphire said to Risto.
Then they entered the house. Risto greeted the dove and Sophie. Then they talked there. They took their seats.
"So, now tell me what I need to know!" Risto, the big man, said.
Then, Saphire explained what had happened and why Sophie and the dove were there. Saphire explained straight to the point to Risto.
"You shouldn't have asked if I wanted to come with you or not! Of course, I'll gladly go with you without even you asking. That's what should a friend be." Said Risto who got so excited about the adventure.
"Alright! It's going to be a very long and dangerous journey. We gotta face many challenges. The most important thing in a journey is the map! Do you have the map?" Saphire asked Sophie and Mr. Pigeon.
"Is this what you mean?" Sophie asked Saphire and held the map. She added, "First of all, I have a question! I don't understand how time works in this Universe! Why is the sky suddenly dark?" Sophie was astonished at how time moved on this island (Amoda).
"Why are you asking that?" Saphire asked Sophie.
"You know, every moment I spend here could be the determinant that I can still return to Earth or not. I only have 48 hours of earth time. Therefore, I can't afford to waste time or linger here.
Risto took a piece of bread from the table and answered Sophie's question. "Did you know that the universe is always expanding and has no limits? Even if you explore the universe using the speed of light, it will never end. This Eternal World (this Universe) is at the edge of where the universe is expanding. Time is irregular here. Each island has a different time even though the land is close to each other. But, the Universe where this Eternal World is located is where all the magic comes true. As far as I know, every four hours of earth time, the sky here will turn into night. This means that you only have 12 times for the sky to change tonight, Eternal World time."
"Hmm, well, we should make the most of our time, Mr. Pigeon!" Sophie said to the pigeon.
"Hey-hey-hey! No matter what, it's already night! We're leaving tomorrow, but we should prepare for our journey tonight." Saphire interjected.
They immediately moved to prepare everything needed for tomorrow's trip. Saphire gave Sophie the same weapon as she had. And Risto checked the airplane outside the house. Afterward, they got back to the table. Sophie opened the map on the table.
While drinking Gravityless-land wine, Sophie explained, " Take a look! There are six islands on the map! You know what? I once read an ancient manuscript with age that was hundreds of years old before I went to this island. It told so clearly that the Eternal World has Seven islands. Therefore, it was very confusing to me that there were only six islands on this map. However, the manuscript explained that each island had interconnected clues as to the whereabouts of the seventh island. Remembering what Saphire explained! It leads me to believe that the tree named Thauma is located on the seventh island missing from the map or the so-called lost island."
" It looks like what you said was true, Sophie! When we connect the clues, they all seem like fractional clues." Saphire responded to Sophie's explanation.
Then Saphire pointed towards an island closest to Gravityless Island, "It's decided already! Tomorrow we will move towards the island of Wings."
Everyone has agreed. Tomorrow is the journey to the island of Wings. Then, they entered the sleeping tube to rest. This sleeping tube can restore twice the energy of sleep.
A great adventure was underway.
