Chapter Twenty-Four

'It's been years since someone played that piano.' Sally speaks from my back. I am playing the grand piano owned by my father.

'So, they never touch this?' I asked her smiling while playing the Canon in D minor.

'Yes, the servants will just clean and wax it.'

'Hmm…' I just said.

The palace might be so lonely all of these years that my parents died and I went for a journey. Keynes told me that the reason why we hide and go on in the journey is to find the cure for my curse. He said we found it. Nathan was my cure. I have to be fully mated to him to break the curse I have. But we will meet soon.

Today is my 18th birthday. And tonight will be the Blue Moon. I feel sad though. Since I left the New Moon pack, I feel empty and lonely. I even fight myself just to control not to go back there. I have my responsibility here. I am the Queen of Moon that everyone will bow down at me.

'Cousin!' I stop playing and a girl at the age of twenty runs to me. At first, I didn't recognize her. She was wearing a white dress and there are fresh flowers as her headdress. She was a pure Enchantress and had an apprentice of a Goddess.

'Minerva!' I stood and hugged her. I missed her. She was my big sister.

'I heard that you are already here. My mom told me that you are back!' she pushed me not letting my arms go. 'Wow… it was my first time to saw you wearing jeans instead of dresses.'

'Well, I got used to it.' I wink at her.

'Oh, what a reunion!' Sam speaks. We all looked at him including Sally. He stopped when he met Sally's eyes I guess. We are in silence while the two of them are staring at each other. 'Hi,' he smiled at her in a very friendly way like there's nothing happened a few seconds ago. 'So guys, the Alpha's from different packs with their Luna's and commanders had arrived.'

'Sure…' I gesture Sam to Sally. He just flushes and turns his back. Sally looks broken and I feel it. She just masked it with a smile. Sam turns back to us again.

'Hey, can I…' he walks to us and grabbed Sally's hand. 'Barrow her. You can dress, right?' he asked me. I smiled and nods at him.

'Yeah sure… take your time.' I nodded. He grabbed her. 'Take care of her!' then I faced Minerva.

'So, what just happened?' she giggles.

'Sam finally found his mate.' I sat on the piano seat and played the wedding song. Minerva keeps on laughing.

'Our cousins will be here soon. They are pleased to have you here.' Then after a few seconds, my hybrid cousins' had arrived. They are all girls. Well, their parents are Enchantresses and he-wolf. My cousin's from my mother's side.

'Danae!' they scream and run to me and hugged me from the back.

'Hey, guys…' I giggles continue playing the piano.

'Hey, they are here… you have to change your clothes.' The seventeen years old Dina said. Minerva laughs at me. Because these two make me as their doll changing my clothes and then makeups.

'Yeah! There are gorgeous new Alpha's and Beta's that are still unmated I hope our mate is one of them.' Haney said with those dreamy eyes.

'Seriously? We are here to celebrate the Princess's birthday not to flirt with some Alpha and Beta's…' Dina said.

'Also the third in command.' I wink at them.

They pull me to my room. They went to a walk-in closet of mine and started looking for a nice dress. I walk to my veranda and watch the cars that keep on coming to our town. I can feel him not that far. They have their small flags on their car to determine what pack they are. There are at least 20 packs.

'Hey, what's in your mind?' Minerva asked.

'Nothing… I am a little afraid I guess.'

'Oh, don't be silly. Today is your birthday also you will have your wolf soon.'

'Hmm…'

'Princess! You have to dress now!' Haney and Dina pull me. I giggle and let them. They sit me on the chair in front of the mirror. Dina started fixing my hair while Haney is putting makeup on me.

'You are just fixing yourself?!' Keynes appears. He was wearing in a Prince-like outfit.

'Oh hey, Keynie… you look charming.' I told him.

'Well, of course, this is the traditional suit. Can you guys chop-chop? They are here.'

'Or you are just too excited to see Natasha?'

'That too. Thirty minutes your highness!' then he walk away. This won't take thirty minutes. I still have time to play the piano in the hall to clear my mind.

I look outside the window of the car that Terrence is driving. The town people seemed so happy that it was finally the 18th Blue Moon birthday of the Princess. They are arranging flowers and preparing food. I only have my Beta and Gama with me and the others will be here soon.

I saw a big castle in the town. It was familiar and I wish I had remembered anything here when I was just little. Every year they are celebrating the Blue Moon which is the day of the Princess's birthday.

Every Alpha's family from other packs are invited. I and Natasha are lucky to be the son and daughter of Alpha and Luna. Few things had changed around here. And the beautiful playground had been renovated.

Keynes and Beta Falcon together with his mate Beatrice are standing in front of the entrance to meet us. We waited as we had reached the stairs and guards will open it for us. Natasha is so excited to see her Prince Charming wearing that medieval outfit. Where is Zoë?

They meet each of us, from Alpha to Alpha.

'This gotta be good.' Yves murmurs.

They lead us to the hall and from there I heard someone playing the piano. The piece is very familiar including the sound on how the person plays it. We all occupy all of the sides of the hall waiting for the council to announce the arrival.

'The Royal Cousins, Prince Harris and Prince Chase!' the double door opens and Chase and Harris walk they stop at the very first and they bow at us in very Prince-like. We bow at them too. They walk in the aisle to the single throne. They stood at both sides. 'Ambassador Sam and Gabriel.' Then they bow at us and we bow back at them.

'So, they are the Princes.' Terence murmurs. The door closes.

'Beta Falcon would like to have a word first.' The royal announcer said.

'Greetings everyone. We are very pleased that you have come to meet the Princess that is finally here with us. Eight years that we waited for her had come. We will be all united. You had pledged on your position and responsibilities. You had pledged to accept the Blue Moon Princess inside you. We hope that you will fight for her as she did every day for all of us. Thank you.'

'Her Royal Highness, daughter of King Asclepius and Queen Mnemosyne. Princess Zoë Danae Mnemosyne.'

The first name caught up me. The door opens and I saw my mate wearing a white gown full of laces and fabrics. She is wearing the Blue Moon amulet and her hair is braided. Yves pulls me to kneel and to bow down. I did bow with everyone bowing at her. I lift my face to see her walking in the aisle. She stopped and curtsied in a royal Princess way.

I fight my wolf not to jump into her bones. We missed her a lot and we are craving for her touch and kisses. We all stood and looked at her. I guess they are also surprised to know that she is the Blue Moon Princess. She might have been on their pack.

What about our Pack?

I accept her and I won't leave our pack. This is the responsibility that my mother told me. If she will accept me too…

She glanced at me and looks back in her front.

'I Zoë Danae Mnemosyne would like to thank all of you to accept the invitation. Tonight I will celebrate my 18th birthday and my 18th Blue Moon. I need everyone's loyalty to me. Our war from the Dark Moon Pack which is Seferis' pack is not yet done. He declared war on us. He's been attacking the small packs, killing women's and children's taking the men for his army. We had sent some of our men to guard them. But it won't be enough.' Then she sat on her throne.

Falcon said that anyone could speak now and we all stood.

'Princess,' one of the Alpha's speaks and bows at her. 'I am Alpha Gregory of Twilight Pack. We had rescued a few people from Hallow Pack. One of the unstable wolves keeps on talking about Seferis. We would like to know your suggestion on what we should do to him.'

'What precisely is he talking about?'

'He said that on the day of coronation… Seferis will kill your mate.' She snapped her eyes on me.

'I see so he had plans.' I saw a glimpse of a smirk on the corner of her lips. 'Since we had a hint on how to spill his plans, Keynes and his mate will show you a weapon that we can use against them.'

Keynes and his mate. I snapped on Keynes and Natasha who in the corner in front holding hands together. So, Natasha knew that Zoë is the Princess after all.

'This weapon is the wolf's bane with hybrid's cure. Once that it had shot on the unstable Lycan's they will be healed and back to their normal forms. They will suffer in the poison of the bane but still, there's 90% that they will survive.'

'Thank you, your highness.' Alpha Gregory bows his head. She nods at him.

'One of my men will come to see the wolf's condition. I assume that he got chained before he had attacked someone.'

'He's in a cell full of silver and chained with silver.'

'Good.' I say that she's very sexy taking commands.

'Princess the lunch is served.' The servant bows at her. The servants lead them to the hall where the lunch is served.

'Okay!' she clapped her hand. 'Let's walk to the other side of the hall people. I assume that you are all tired and hungry from your long journey.' They smiled at the change of her attitude. I walk to her and offer my hand.

'Tell us that you have Rebecca with you.' Gab said to me.

'And Grace…' Prince Chase speaks.

'They will be here soon. No worries.' I told them. She held my hand. I kissed the back of it. 'For now, let's get her highness on the table before she eats our sexy body.' I wink at them. She grimaced at me.

'Say that again and I will throw you out of my castle.'

'You can't…' I kissed her lips. 'Because I am irresistible.' I teased. She pulled the back of my head and kissed me torridly and pushed me and grabbed me out of the hall. 'Woah… you know that I love you being wild.'
