(I took these chapters to set up Jack's money scheme, so now there will be a fairly large time skip soon and introducing more characters.)
Jack was currently siting at his deck while his pets were all trying to get his attention while he was in deep thought. He looked at his lap where Red and Fang had their heads on his lap while he pet them.
"So it is time for me to get a large supply of weapons to sell. Ok, time to start production. We will be busy in the coming months so let's get started."
From here on Jack started to mass production of his new weapon. For that, he commissioned several gunsmiths under his mind control so they would not go against him. For the following year, he bided his time and got a large arsenal for the upcoming war for sale.
After his repeated practice of brainwashing humans, it led to his ability to control his business and train his mental control over humans increase. Now he just had to look them in the eyes and he could make them do anything he wanted. He would avoid doing this too much on a single person as their brain might fail. For now, it would be one of his most useful abilities when he needed someone to do as he wished.
After this year his stock had increased by a large amount so he was in his basement he had built looking at the 5,500 muskets that he would be soon selling for an overcharged price to cash in on the need for a better gun. It would be better to let it happen after the battle of Gonzalas.
He looked the same age wise, but his former buzz cut now had grown out. He jus did not bother to cut his hair, but he did not let it grow too much as he did not like the feeling of long hair.
Jack started to leave the basement as he had all he needed. If he rembred history the battle of Gonzales happened October 2, 1835. He looked at his canlender and it was October 1st, so he was right on schedule.
He went outside as he was going to set off now as it be better to be their early. His pets all started to follow him and they all ran with him to Gonzales Texas. At the speed they could trvale at it did not take long at all.
He set up camp about 30 miles away from the town as he could see from all the way from their. He had the best seat to a battle in history books so he was kind of interested. Through out the night tensions in the town began to rise when the Mexican troops arrived.
The Mexicans were trying to calm the angry Anglo crowd, but that would not happen today. As a result of his great senses it was like he was seeing a video with how clear it was to him. He could hear every word and he was just waiting for it to erupt.
The Anglos were getting madder and madder while it looked like just one spark would light the fuse. While he was totally focused on the brewing firefight waiting to happen he felt someone lean on his right shoulder and he just knew who it was.
There was only one being who would do that that he knew. He looked to his right and looked straight in the neon blue eyes of Death who seemed a little happy to see him. Of course, she would be here when quite a few people would die here.
Jack sighed and decided to not think too much about it. She said she would be here, so what did he expect?
"Hello Death, it is a pleasure to see you like always. No sarcasm by the way."
"I know, did you miss me wolfie."
Jack's face formed a scowl on his face as he never thought she would call him that. He honestly felt it was a bit annoying, but at the moment she might be the only being who would joke with him.
She seemed to take the opportunity to poke fun at his face and scowls. She poked at the brows on his face and smiled.
"I think you should smile more. You know just because you can't age does not mean you can't get wrinkled."
Jack facepalmed as he was a bit annoyed. He enjoyed talking to her, but sometimes her personality seemed to change on a dime. What did he expect from someone as old and ancient as her?
She just had a pouty look on her face. "Wow, you called me both old and ancient just now. Rude."
"Can you stop reading my mind then?"
"Nope, too interesting to know what goes on in that fluffy head."
"I am no fluffy."
She just looked at him like no matter what he said it would not change the fact that his wolf form was quite fluffy. She looked away to the battle and pointed at it.
"Shh, it's starting."
She was right, a Texan pulled his musket and fired into the Mexican troops hitting one in the chest. Which then led to them returning fire with the Texans also firing back. The actual fighting was quite short as the Anglos were outnumbered and outgunned, but they made their stand.
The revolution had started and it was his time to cash in on the best opportunity to get rich around. Be a guns dealer during a war as there will always be a need for more and better guns. Death just rested her head on his shoulder while he looked at her. He was in no way fooled by her flirty act as she just wanted him to be her apostle.
She smiled when she read that. She really was interested in him being her apostle because of his potential power. If she was honest he was more interesting than Thanos as the Mad Titan was obsessed with her.
Unlike Jack who kept her at arm's length as he did not trust her. That was quite different than how most beings acted when they saw her. They either fell to their knees in fear, love, or worship. Not Jack.
"Come on wolf-boy, what do you lose by accepting? You have the potential to be one of the strongest beings around and being my apostle would make you maybe undefeated to most."
He just sighed. "Exactly, it would not be my power, but yours I would be using. If I want to be the strongest I would need to get it on my own. Besides, why are you acting like a flirty high schooler? I thought you would be much colder and calculated."
That made a cheeky smile appear on her face and she ran her cold and yet soft hand down his hair that he had been growing out.
"I got to use my charm when I can when I want someone. Right pups?"
She was looking at the 10 wolves with Jack as all of them were looking at her with a bit of wariness, but they were seemingly used to her presence from the times they had seen her. Jack took a look at her outfit and it was a low-cut dress that highlighted her curves.
When she noticed him looking at her she felt her charm seemed to be working. However, he looked away almost immediately and talked to her as if she was just anybody else.
"Honestly why ma I the one who has your attention? I can't be the only person you can talk to in this vast universe, so why me and so often?"
When she saw he looked away she sighed.
"Why is it the one time I want my charm to work it does not work? As for your last question I find you interesting. More than the others."
Jack looked at her from the corner of his eyes and felt it was not that strange that he was interesting enough to catch her attention. He really had not done much, but maybe she knew more about his power than he did. but it doesn't matter.
"Well, that is good to know. As for why your charm which I will say is on the level of a goddess, It will take more than a pretty face to get me hot and bothered. Also, I doubt that is your true form."
She nodded as he was right on the money. She could take any form she desired, but from what she saw about him this would be the form he would like best. It went in line with his likes from what she knew but seemed he was not affected much.
"So you're saying you do like this form?"
He looked her over again and nodded.
"Not gonna lie, I do like it. However, this is you talking about Death. In terms of power, you could think me dead if you were allowed to, so I do have to keep some manner of wariness with you. As for your previous offer for your eyes or Apostle I will say no to both."
She sighed as what she didn't tell him is that if he accepted her eyes his soul would be hers when he died. That may take forever with his immortality, but everything died in time. She would have him one day, but he did not accept. That made her a little annoyed.
"You really are an interesting wolfly. Most would have jumped on the offer as you would be able to use magic, chi, physic, maybe even death energy, but you still said no. Also, I think I am going to stick with that one. Wolfly."
She leaned in and planted a kiss on his head and disappeared and he suddenly rolled on the ground annoyed. She was too dangerous and it was not about her power, she was just too seductive. He felt like he was a high schooler again when he thought he could control all his emotions easily with his new mental fortitude.
"Damn, I need to be more careful around her, but she would find every reason to show up and bother me. Why me of all people? Is there really no one else for her to annoy?"
He got up and dusted himself off and began to leave the area. He had already accomplished his goal here so he would have to get ready for his last business deal in Texas.
They all got up and they proceeded to run back to his home where he would soon begin to sell his weapons so he could leave Texas after this. As long as he owned the land for his oil fields he was set for the future.
As he walked home he made another plan forother properties he should buy early so he could have access to the reasourses their. Maybe sone Tungston mines, or other useful metals. However for now he just planed for his trip out of Texas.
"Well, time to go find two mutant children in Canada. Context is really needed when speaking doesn't I. What would an FBI agent say if he heard me say that."
Jack shook off his small joke and returned to his estate where he had in store of his new weapons where he would be making a lot of cash even by the modern day's comparison. When he got home he took a record to see what he had to sell.
After a day of taking inventory, he made a list and took a few of them to show them off to his buyer. He had heard that Sam Houston was finally in Texas for the revolution and the man wanted peace, but the war was as good as starting.
No amount of peace talks would quell the angry Anglo and Mexican government, and it was all a way for him to make a quick buck. As he was busy working he started to sing a little toon so entertain himself.
"There once was a ship that was put to sea. The name of the ship was the Billy of Tea. The winds blew up, her bow dipped down, Oh blow, my bully boys, blow."
Jack seemed to be having the time of his life at the moment and it was one of those things he and his friends did when they were bored as Jack's great grandfather was an old-time sailor and they just got passed down.
He found out he liked buinssess and wished he would have gotten into buinssess when he was back in school. For now he would just get a bit richer. Well, he was already rich, but one can't be too rich. Once he had finished his work it was time for him to cause some mayhem and pour oil on the fire.
He sat down at his desk and began to write two letters one to Sam and one to Santa Ana talking about how he was offering a brand new type of weapon that could turn the tide of the war. When both men got the letters and the description of the new type of weapon they both wanted them before the other.
As for the man who was causing all this and profiting the most, Jack was sitting at his table and poured a bit of whiskey and downed the whole thing. He was humming as his scenes seemed to be working to his advantage.
"Well, this is one way to get a fire going. Now, that is done once I sell. I should be done with Texas and I can go North to the U.S and Canada."
He thought of all the events he knew would happen in the coming decades.
'I should take time to go to England to join the Hellfire Club. It would be better to get a hold over it before they get too strong. Well, I got time. before I need to start worrying. Wonder why the Aincient One has not moved yet though?"
He shook off his thought and got back to work.
At the moment I don't plan for romance, but Death is a high chance one. As I have set up most of the main events the time skips will start soon.
Fun fact turns out comic book Logan after killing his father and he led a wolf pack for a few years until he left. He will be perfect as a werewolf. I will also follow the movie that Victor and Logon are brothers as it will be easier.
