Chapter one: Lost in the woods

I couldn't believe my luck. After months of searching, I had finally found it – the perfect place to start my new life. It was a small town nestled in the heart of the forest, surrounded by towering trees and winding streams. It was the kind of place where everyone knew each other, and no one asked too many questions.

As I drove down the winding road, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and apprehension. This was a new beginning for me, a chance to leave my old life behind and start afresh. But I knew that there were dangers lurking in these woods, dangers that I couldn't even begin to imagine.

As I approached the town, I noticed a group of people gathered on the side of the road. They were dressed in dark clothes and looked like they had just come from a funeral. I slowed down to get a better look and noticed that they were all staring at me.

I felt a chill run down my spine. Were they staring at me because I was an outsider? Or was there something else going on?

As I drove past, I noticed that one of the men in the group had bright green eyes. They seemed to glow in the dark, and for a moment, I thought I saw them turn yellow. However, it was probably just my imagination acting up.

I shook my head and tried to focus on the road ahead. I had to get to the motel before it got too late. But as I drove further into town, I couldn't help but notice that there were more and more people with strange, glowing eyes.

It wasn't until I reached the motel that I realized what was going on. The woman at the front desk had yellow eyes – just like the man I had seen earlier. And when she spoke, her voice was low and husky, almost like a growl.

I tried to ignore the strange sensation in my gut and handed over my ID. The woman looked at it for a moment before handing it back with a strange smile.

She said, her eyes glimmering in the dim light, "Welcome to our town." "We don't get many visitors here, but we always make sure they feel welcome."

I nodded, feeling a sense of unease wash over me. There was something about this place, something that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

As I made my way to my room, I heard a low growl coming from one of the nearby doors. I froze for a moment, wondering if I should investigate. But then the growling stopped, and I heard a soft whimpering instead.

I tried to forget about it after shaking my head.

It was probably just some stray dog or something.

But as I lay in bed that night, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching me. Every time I closed my eyes, I felt a prickling sensation on the back of my neck.

It wasn't until I drifted off to sleep that I finally saw it – a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring at me from the darkness.

I awoke suddenly, my chest beating rapidly. I reached for the lamp on the bedside table and flicked it on, but the room was empty.I shook my head in an effort to relax. It was probably just a dream.

But as the days went by, the strange occurrences continued. Every time I walked down the street, I felt like I was being watched. And every night, I woke up to find those yellow eyes staring at me from the shadows.

I made an effort to ignore it, telling myself that

It was just my imagination. However, I was aware that something was off.

One day, as I was walking down the street, I heard a low growl behind me. I turned around and saw a pack of wolves staring at me. They were huge, with thick, shaggy fur and sharp teeth.

My heart racing, I backed away slowly. But the wolves didn't move. They just stood there, their eyes fixed on me.

For a moment, I thought about running. But I knew that it would be useless. There was no way I could outrun a pack of wolves.

Suddenly, one of the wolves stepped forward. It was larger than the others, with piercing yellow eyes that seemed to glow in the sunlight.

I froze, not knowing what to do. The wolf bared its teeth and growled, its eyes never leaving mine.

And then, just as suddenly as they had appeared, the wolves turned and disappeared into the woods.

I stood there for a moment, trying to catch my breath. What was going on? Why were the wolves so interested in me?

As I walked back to my motel, I couldn't help but feel like I was being followed. Every time I turned around, I saw those yellow eyes staring back at me.

When I got back to my room, I locked the door and sat down on the bed. I knew that something was going on in this town, something that was far beyond my understanding.

I decided to do some research. I went to the library and spent hours pouring over books about wolves and the supernatural. And then, finally, I found it – a book about werewolves.

According to the book, werewolves were human beings who could transform into wolves. They were said to be incredibly strong and fast, with heightened senses and the ability to heal quickly from injuries.

But there was a catch – werewolves only transformed during the full moon. The rest of the time, they looked and acted like normal human beings.

I couldn't believe what I was reading. Was it possible that the people in this town were werewolves? Was that why they had those strange, glowing eyes?

I decided to investigate further. I started talking to the locals, asking them about the strange occurrences in town. However, no one wanted to discuss it. Whenever I brought up the subject of the wolves or the strange behavior of the townspeople, they would clam up and change the subject.

But then, one night, I saw something that confirmed my suspicions. I was walking down a deserted street when I heard a low growl coming from an alleyway. I cautiously approached the alley and saw a group of men huddled together, their eyes glowing in the darkness.

And then, suddenly, they transformed into wolves.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It reminded me of something from a horror movie. The men were no longer men – they were huge, shaggy wolves with razor-sharp teeth.

With my chest pounding, I turned and ran. I knew that I had to get out of this town before it was too late.

But when I got back to my motel, I found that the door was locked from the outside. I tried to break it down, but it was no use. I was trapped.

As I turned around, my heart racing, I saw a pack of wolves slowly approaching me. There were at least six of them, and they were much larger than any wolf I'd ever seen before. My first instinct was to run, but I knew that would only make them chase me. I held my ground, trying to look as big and imposing as possible.

The wolves came closer, surrounding me. I could see their sharp teeth glistening in the moonlight, and I could smell their wild, animalistic scent. My mind was racing, trying to think of a way out of this situation. I knew I had to stay calm and collected, but I could feel the fear creeping up inside me.

Suddenly, one of the wolves stepped forward and transformed into a man. My eyes widened in shock as I watched him change, his fur retracting and his body shifting until he was standing in front of me, naked and human. He was a tall, muscular man with shaggy brown hair and piercing green eyes.

"Who are you?" he asked, his voice deep and growling.

I opened my mouth to answer, but no sound came out. I was too stunned to speak. The man took a step forward, and I stumbled backwards, tripping over a rock and falling onto the ground.

The other wolves started shifting as well, one by one, until there were six naked men standing around me. They all had the same wild, untamed look in their eyes, and I knew that these were no ordinary men. They were werewolves.

"What are you doing here?" the first man asked again, his tone more urgent this time.

I managed to stutter out, "I was just passing through."I didn't mean to intrude."

The man looked at me suspiciously, and I could tell he wasn't entirely convinced. "You're not from around here, are you?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm just passing through."

The man narrowed his eyes, studying me. "You're lying," he said finally. "But it doesn't matter. You shouldn't be here. It's not safe."

With that, the other men transformed back into wolves and ran off into the night, leaving me alone with the first man. He helped me up, and I brushed myself off, trying to regain my composure.

"What do you mean it's not safe?" My voice was slightly trembling as I asked him.

The man sighed, running a hand through his hair. He stated, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you. "But you need to leave this place. Now."

I wanted to ask him more questions, to find out what was really going on in this town, but I could sense that he wasn't going to tell me anything else. As I slowly moved away from him, I gave a nod.

"Thanks," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'll leave. I promise."

With that, I turned around and ran back to my car as fast as I could. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I could feel the sweat dripping down my back. I knew that I had stumbled onto something dangerous, something that could get me killed.

As I drove away from the town, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I kept glancing in my rearview mirror, half-expecting to see the pack of werewolves chasing after me. But they never came. Eventually, I calmed down enough to focus on the road ahead of me, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to forget what I had seen that easily.

The rest of the drive was uneventful, and I finally arrived at my destination a few hours later.
