A Good Father

(From Demetrius's Perspective)

"Why have you cut your hair off again?" Luc's mother asked Blue.

Luc's parents were Blue's adoptive parents. They came to see her and our child. Today was the first time they had seen Dion and they had seen Blue after a very long time. Blue and I decided to hold a banquet when Dion was at least three months old.

"I just felt like it," Blue replied.

The Marquis was holding Dion and making strange sounds at him, which my son seemed to find entertaining and was even laughing. So, this was how he laughed. Blue had been pointing it to me for a while now.

"So, if we make strange noises, he will laugh," she whispered to me.

"He might like it if his father makes those noises. You know, His Majesty, and some men have a little frog-like voice which is perfect for this."

"Frog-like voice?" I repeated.
