Checking to See if He's Lying
After shopping for groceries, Qi Zheng drove back to Yun Shu's mother's place. The two alighted from the vehicle and were about to carry the bags inside when Yun Shu noticed that Grandma was in the garden with someone else.
Yun Shu narrowed her eyes to adjust the light and quickly recognized that person as Grandma Zhu, her grandmother's friend around the neighborhood. She observed two friends for a while and raised her brow, noticing that the two friends seemed to be in a heated discussion.
As if noticing that someone was looking at her, Grandma Zhu turned her head and saw Yun Shu.
Just then, Yao Ying followed her friend's line of gaze and saw that her granddaughter had returned. She waved her hand, calling Yun Shu to head over.
"Grandma is calling," Yun Shu spoke as she turned to Qi Zheng. "I will go over for a while."
Qi Zheng turned to look for Grandma. Noticing that Yun Shu was about to walk away, he called her name, "Yun Shu, wait."
