Chapter 7: Again.

The last class was all about history, and because of that I didn't bother listening to it much, when all of the topic the teacher discussed was topics I've already read about except one topic that I've took interest to listen in was about bloodlines. One of the most famous bloodlines known to history was the bloodline of the monarch.

Their bloodline was preserve by intermarrying to a well-known noble that is known for their strength, though that maybe their propaganda to divert the attention of the masses to cover their secrets to their inheritance but I didn't want to think about a troublesome thing, blurting it out in the open is an easy way for me to get assassinated.

Our teacher's name in history class was Elisiah Gunmer, he was old and had many wrinkles covering his face, the way he talks and the way he moves screams of old age. It was okay if he talked fast in his lessons but god be damned I was annoyed at the way he moved his mouth slowly now. The lesson was soon finished and I got out of the hellish class.

Walking down through the hall I once again spotted Rizu and Dairia talking to some students, they seemed to be having a good time based on how they were laughing with the other students. I didn't want to disturb the two, because I was still left procrastinating at how I acted in front of them previously.

Walking past Rizu and Dairia, I felt their gazes upon me. I felt guilty about ignoring them but it was my choice, so that they would know that I'm still bothered by their actions. Though the truth was far from my reason.

I just wanted to be alone and process all of the things I've learned today before sleeping. I was walking absent-mindedly through the hall and didn't notice that I bumped into someone with red hair. I didn't want to make a fuss about it but I was feeling pretty bad for the person. So I just apologized to her, picking up all the books she seemed to carry with her. Though I did notice that she had a weird selection for her books, like how she had a book about ordinary people's lives but I didn't care. I just gave it back to her politely.

Without wasting time I left the area as I didn't want to embarrass myself any further, I sped up walking through the hall before finally I was infront of a door that was designated to be my room.

I didn't know how to open it so I tried to push the knob on the door and surprisingly it opened, the room maybe 5x5 meters a bit spacey, it had every important appliances available inside like the a bed, a bathroom, a cooking pot and a study table.

I just wanted to collapse on my bed and go to sleep but I stopped the thought and brought the books that I've carried all around the school whole day, I wanted to review all I've listened to and the new theories that sprung up on my head. Listing it all on a piece of paper before putting it inside the cabinets of the study table.

"Yawn..." I was just a moment away from sleep but someone knocked on my door, I tried to see who it was so I looked through the spyglass and saw that it was just a person in charge of the food. I thank her and decided to eat the food, it was a traditional diet food consisting of a vegetable, meat and a soup.

I finished eating it all up before disposing the leftovers on a box called instant clean box which was enchanted with a cleaning function. Such a handy and convenient creation made by someone with a magical enchanting path.

I was rather surprised the technology was becoming like this here, though I don't know if this is widespread or just exclusive here but still this improvement means that they are already approaching modernity. If only we were democratic...but I supposed I couldn't complain about it.

I decided to take a shower just to refreshen my mind, the sound of the water falling made me think back on my actions.

"Was I right? What is it that bothered me that much? Is it because I was betrayed in my past life? I couldn't remember anything about it at all however the trauma I carried over seemed strong to even have me become triggered into something I prolly don't want to do again. I know I made a mistake, and should apologize to Rizu and Dairia but would they accept me again? I don't know..."

"How could I avoid situations like that in the future? Should I choose to check myself everyday? That would be tiresome but if it means that I could stop a situation like that from happening again then it is a must."

I finished my shower and decided to look at the mirror in front. I had dark blue hair, light blue eyes that had an apathetic glint and a baby face that would develop in a well-defined face in adulthood. I smiled at myself, a creepy smile that I had the urge to laugh at.

"This is me now."

"I am Virule Hearst."

"Not the person I was from before."

"Though I make mistakes, I will learn from it."

"Though I may not be talented, but talent isn't everything."

"This is a new world, with new things to explore and new friends to know. I should just enjoy my time while I'm here, I should not hassle over something I could not control, but I should find a way how to manage it." I assured myself knowing who I really am would help me understand and grow even with my flaws. With nothing to do anymore I decided to sleep.

Waking up in the morning, I fixed myself fast and hurried to class. I saw my classmates again inside of the room, some were studying, talking and some were dozing off. They probably didn't sleep last night.

I didn't bother them and took a seat in my usual spot in the back. I saw Rizu and Dairia walked inside and there was also a third person with them -- it was a girl.

She had green hair and yellow eyes, she wore the usual uniform but however I noticed something different from her. I think it was her air? an aura? it was like if I threw a punch at her it would just be block by some kind of barrier. I didn't care about it though and just ignored them, taking my books out I reviewed the lesson for today..

"Hello again everyone! Nice to meet you all and the new faces here. I think we should do a recap to refresh your minds about our previous topic, so who would like to do it?" Harian appeared through the door waking all the dozy people up from their sleep.

"Teacher, our topic last time was about how Magic has three pathways and also how choosing a specific pathways would boost your chances in mastering it, choosing all of them would be detrimental to our growth. That is all." The girl cinnamon shaded hair and eyes. She had spectacles and a sharp sight that seemed to pierce Dairia as she looked at her with contest. Dairia just yawned "unintentionally".

"Thank you Ms?"

"Calli Lefarious."

"Thank you for that wonderful recap Ms. Calli but now I have a new topic to tackle upon and that is Life Force." He clapped his hands and looked at all of us.

"Life Force is separated by three pathways; The path of Radiance, the path of Blood and the path of Mastery. The path of Radiance is the power to energize your body with life force making it glow and emit a bright force, though they are similar to the paladins light but what differentiates them is that the radiant path controls the heat around you, so you could produce devastating attacks with it."

"The next one is the path of Blood, this path allows you to have control over your own blood, one of its most helpful power is how you make your blood solidify and have a strong passive regeneration of your cells. Some might say this is weak but wait until you become an immortal with this power.

"Lastly the path of Mastery, out of the three paths this is the easiest to develop.. Mastery is a complete improvement to all of your physical traits; Strength, Agility, Endurance, Durability, Reflex and Perception. It is said that when you go to the limits of this path you could singlehandedly fight a dragon. Do any of you have questions?"

"Teacher! I have a question!" Rizu's energetic personality buzzed around at the mention of a dragon."

"What is it?"

"What is by far the strongest Supernatural user and what was their supernatural path?"

"I don't know about that but all I know is that everyone uses the best of their ability in all sorts of ways probably not that strong in offense but it helped them survive a couple of times as even the strongest in this lands doesn't dare to venture out alone into the land of the Forsaken. However I did at one time encountered a force so strong that we didn't have a way to counter it though..." Harian scratched his head and thought fast if he should say it or not.

"OooOooh!?"

"I only knew it was a legend at that time but there is a man out there in the Forsaken Lands still surviving, I only caught a glimpse of him passing by our expedition, but I nor the 3rd strongest in Grandia lands could move in his presence. We didn't know what his supernatural power was but I hope I answered your question there young lad." Harian for a moment shivered and his arms hair tightened. Though it seemed I was the only one who noticed it.

"Alright, I'll just be listing off various applications for the life forces power so just listen okay?" Harian continued to discuss it until a few minutes had passed.

"Alright class is done! Tidy up your books and worry about your next class."
