Chapter - 17 [ Unknown Paths Of Fate ]

Everyone was surprised. To think they were children of Arthur and Andrea. Now that they think about it, they heard there would be a guest coming for living with them for three years here.

"I see..! So you two are Arthur's children..!"

Xesteria's father, Zech laughed in a carefree manner. There was a lady with a big breast and a sexy body looking at them. She walked towards them and pulled them closer and hugged them. Adam and Amanda felt something soft covering their faces. Adam knew what it was. Amanda was jealous of how much bigger it is compared to her's. Adam who was unable to breathe anymore wanted to ask her to let him go, but she asked,

"You two are so cute..! You look just like them.. And I never thought Arthur's child would be a ladykiller...fufufu..."

He understood that just like his mother, this person seems to be too weak to children. As he was struggling to breathe, Asil said,

"Let's go inside and talk about some things...."

Everyone nodded. The woman who was hugging them both, Xesteria's mother, Yuel, let them go. As everyone walked inside, Adam could only sigh while Amanda looked at him with a smile. He knows she is angry. So he promised himself that he would make it up to her. Then they followed them. There was also a floating woman following Adam...

Inside one of the rooms of Malevier mansion, there was some noise coming from it. The maids outside were confused as to why the person inside is making so much commotion.

Inside the room, a girl with sea blue hair and blue eyes hugging her pillow and groaning. Near her, a spirit was looking at her with amusement.

"To think that you will fall just like that... Master Adam is really one big Lady killer...." She giggled.

The lady in question, Xesteria was feeling too shy to talk to people. It was her first time hearing a confession to her face. She was too embarrassed. He was handsome and very gentle in his approaches. So she was feeling it was okay to be his lover. However it was too fast. She wanted to take it slowly. As she was thinking about it, a maid knocked on her door and said, "My lady, Master Asil is asking you to come to the guest room."

"Y..yes..!"

She replied. After hearing the maid's footsteps, she returned to her normal expression before saying, "Let's go Camellia.."

Inside the guest room of Malevier mansion, Adam and Amanda were sitting against Asil and Frecillia. His Uncle and Aunt were sitting on his right. The door to the room opened and Xesteria came in. She kept her normal expression. However when her eyes met with Adam, a small blush crept to her cheeks. She shook her head before walking towards the left side and sat there after bowing.

There was a small doll-like girl sitting on Adam's shoulder. It was Celeste. Camellia also came towards him before transforming and taking a seat to his other shoulder. This scene made others mind buzz. It was almost impossible for a spirit to touch a human they didn't recognize. So it was very lucky seeing someone touching two at once.

Asil coughed before saying, "Again, this is Adam Aves Aldians and Amanda Aves Aldians. They are children of Arthur and Andrea."

"Huh...?" It was Xesteria. She was surprised. To think they were her cousins...

"So they are my cousins grandpa...?" Asil nodded.

"That's right. Since their training competed and already accomplished their initial target of being a knight level or Intermediate level, they are given three years as a vacation. So they will live here for the next three years."

They all were shocked to know that the children were such geniuses. They all nodded. They were happy to have them. Then he continued, "There is another problem we have to think about..." He then talked about Adam's and Amanda's relationship and need for the adoption. Hearing this, no one was disgusted or thought anything else. They were all looking as if it's a natural thing to happen. Adam and Amanda, even though they already promised and understood this world's strangeness, were again surprised seeing no one say anything. He looked at Xesteria. She was looking a little disappointed. Probably because he already has someone. However her face changed suddenly.

She thought about his capabilities. 'If it's him, nobody will complain about him having multiple girls...'

"That's why we are requested to adopt Amanda into this family. Of course only on paper. So what are everyone's thoughts on this...?"

They all nodded. Asil looked at Xesteria. He said, "There is no need to change suddenly Xe's. You can think it through. If you want to talk to him, I think he is more than willing to do so..."

She looked at her grandpa and nodded. She looked at Adam. He wasn't looking at her. But he was smiling. When sensing a gaze on him, he looked at her and smiled. She instantly averted her face. Everyone chuckled seeing this.

Then Asil talked about the procedures of adoption. He said he will talk about it with Arthur. After talking and introducing themselves to each other, they decided to leave for their own works. Asil told Xesteria to lead and show them around. She nodded before pulling Amanda by hand and asking Adam to come.

He followed her after letting Celeste leave back to the spirit realm where spirits reside.

"Again, My name is Xesteria Von Malevier, Daughter of Zech Von Asil Malevier. It's a pleasure lord Adam , lady Amanda..."

Adam nodded. Then just liked how he greeted Frecillia, kissed Xesteria on her hand after bowing lightly and said, "My name is Adam Aves Aldians Lady Xesteria. The pleasure is all mine. And please call us just Adam and Amanda."

Amanda wasn't stingy. She also introduced herself. Hearing this, Xesteria said, "If you say so, please call me Xe's when talking to me in private. Also, Adam... I'd like some time to think about your confession..."

Her face was red as she said this. However Adam said with a smile, " You don't have to worry about it Xe's. In fact I should have been more thoughtful of your feelings too."

Hearing this Xesteria was flustered. She denied it quickly and said, "No no no..! It's not that I dislike it. It's just, it was my first time hearing a confession like that. I need time to understand my own feelings. And I am happy since I have a companion to talk to." She said while looking at Amanda. Amanda was surprised since she couldn't feel any bad feelings from her. She decided to be more friendly with her now cousin and future sister.

"You can call me Amy when we are in private as well."

Hearing this, Adam was at a loss for words. He never thought she would get along with another girl like that.

"So Xe's, how about we start your training today...?" Xesteria nodded with a determined face. He nodded in satisfaction before telling her about spirits and all the knowledge he has about them....

Some days later....

Inside the forest near Malevier mansion, there were some people hiding behind the leaves and barks of trees. They were wearing white robes to hide their faces. They all had different hair colors.

"I've heard that some new people have come to the Malevier family. Should we investigate it...?"

One of them asked. "No. They already have signed the contract. So they won't try to harm us. We should wait for our king's orders."

They all nodded and left. In their place a short, slender figure appeared. Then a female voice was heard,

"Where is she...?! It's been two days already... Should I go there..? No! If my father knows, he would kill me...! What should I do...?!" From her words, it was clear that she was frustrated by something.

"Whatever. I will go there and ask her myself...!"

As she was moving through the forest, she suddenly felt like all the strength in her muscles was losing. Reaching the ground with a loud sound, she felt pain all over her body. As she was thinking about using a healing magic, she saw four silhouettes walking towards her. On closer look she saw that it was humans. However she knows that all humans weren't bad people.

However seeing them close enough, she could see a different emblem that represents the bandit group that is mercilessly killing or enslaving her kind. As she was about to do something to call her people, she felt her consciousness leaving her to sleep. In the last second she could only say one thing,
