Chapter - 10 [ Easy Work?? ]

After the incident at the Blacksmithing Company, The man who challenged him was, the chief of their company Derthes. He was one of the highest-ranked blacksmiths in the entire world. He said Adam should go and register at the Blacksmith Association. He even gave a recommendation letter.

Adam became famous in just an evening and night. Derthes made him a sheath for free. The price for using the forge was free too. He seems to have liked Adam.

Upon reaching his home, Adam was interrogated with questions from his mother and father. Amanda was smiling all the time. She was happy he became famous. Though his parents were shocked, they congratulated him. However, his father was jaw-slacked after seeing the sword. Even went as far as to ask him to sell it to him. Of course, he refused saying it was his hard work. His father was disappointed. Therefore Adam promised Arthur he will make one for him in the future.

Day of Departure...

Arthur, Andrea, Amanda and the servants of their household were looking at a person standing in front of their gate. It was Adam. He was riding a horse. To complete his task, he is ordered to go to the dark forest situated near the Joffer Village City.

That forest was nothing but darkness. So the werewolf has a great advantage. It can hide behind the trees and attack someone. So it is a perfect place to hide.

He needed one day for travelling only. He was given money. But his safety is in his hands. There wouldn't be any help for this mission. After all it is a mission to prove himself.

Joffer Village....

Adam who reached the village hid his face behind a mask and entered inside. Although a village, it was still a large sized land ruled by a knights family. Their name was Joffer. Even though they were knights, they couldn't defeat the werewolf. His father explained that it was an arch knight level werewolf. So even if there's knights, they are still weak to defeat a werewolf that strong.

As he entered the city, he was met with scenes of different people enjoying themselves without even a care. Some were pleasuring themselves, some were beating people, some were walking without a care. Are they really the victims of werewolf attacks...? Was he wrong...? He thought. He then walked towards a tavern and took a seat.

Seeing an outsider, the owner of the tavern asked in an annoyed tone, "What do you want...?"

He said, "Information.." She gritted her teeth in anger before saying, "Get out! There's nothing for you here.." But before she turned around, she was startled by the clanging sound of coins. Seeing a pouch of coins, she hurriedly opened it, and her eyes almost jumped out. Inside the pouch were Gold coins! She looked at the customer, before saying,

"Ask.."

Upon learning about everything he wanted from the woman, he left the place. He was now standing on top of a building. He wrote to his father and sent it using a messenger bird.

"The unusual reactions of the knights, victims of death by blood loss, Cases of appearance of ghouls and werewolves....is this what I think it is...?"

He disappeared from that position. He ran towards his destination. The dark forest. Upon reaching the entrance, he could tell that it was filled with dangers. But with his senses and eyes, nothing can sneak on him. The only thing he needed to be ready for is the weakness for werewolves.

'In this world, the weakness of werewolves is only sunlight and holy magic. Of course they might not have tried using silver or heart piercing. But i am prepared. In the worst case scenario, I can use light elemental magic...'

He used invisibility. It wasn't against werewolves. They had a keen sense of hearing and smelling. So it's impossible to hide from them. But he can avoid other possible dangers.

Moving through the forest, he could hear the noise of leaves and insects. He suddenly stopped. Sensing movements near him, he concentrated to see the red eyed silhouette moving fastly towards him.

As this object reached him and tried to sneak on him, Adam activated 'Divine Protection'. As it almost touched him, his Divine protection was activated which caused the object to touch the light energy.

Feeling its skin burning, it hurriedly jumped back to escape. Then Adam saw. A large bear-like beast. But it only had the size of a bear. It looked like a wolf. Standing like a human with its two limbs, it screamed at him.

It suddenly hid inside the darkness. Adam smiled excitedly before closing his eyes and activated his first stance for his 'Ocean Sword Dance Third form - Devouring Whirlpool'...

Time was slowed in his eyes. He saw the werewolf jumping at him. He activated the second stance of Devouring Whirlpool by pulling the normal sword out of his sheath and rotating it in a swift motion.

As it was reaching him, he did the third stance of Devouring Whirlpool by encircling while moving towards it.

As everything went fast in the eyes of the werewolf, it saw water lines forming around it and tightening itself in a circular motion. From a third person perspective, it was like water lines hugging it. But the result was different. The whole body of werewolves was cut to pieces.

Although he felt nauseated, he didn't feel weak. As someone who was the victim of torture, he know if he hadn't killed it, he would've been the one to die.

He picked its head which was the only part which wasn't broken into pieces and covered it with a cloth before throwing it in the storage.

As he was about to leave he sensed another presence. Quickly activating invisibility, he ran towards the entrance of the forest. He wasn't sure about any other dangers for now. He wasn't prepared enough. In his sense he could tell that it was an extremely strong person. Although he could defeat that person if he tried, he wasn't going to take any risk for now.

To stall them if he was found out, he created the blue fire and threw it in the direction against him. He then ran away...

Hearing the explosion, the man with pale skin and red eyes looked towards his side. He disappeared and appeared next to the explosion. Seeing a blue fire, a natural fear was crept into his body and mind. But he only jumped back a little.

"A dangerous fire... So it's true... The world is about to change...as that person said..."

He changed into black smoke and disappeared again.....

"I think that was dark magic I sensed. Maybe a demon...? Whatever! Since I completed my task, I should report it..."

He muttered to himself while running. He reached his horse and rode it back to his home...

'That's right! I have to give Amy an answer...I actually do have one. But can I do it...? Am I still trapped in that world...?'

"Can you help me Maya...?"

« Yes Adam. If you are worried about your relationship with Amanda, then as they said, it is allowed in this world. And what I have as an answer is that you should do as you like. What is it that your heart is telling you...? Is it to reject her feelings and be siblings forever or accept her and make her yours...? It's up to you what to do in the end Adam. Adam could feel her feelings from her words. He was happy. Understanding the feelings of happiness after what he's gone through, it was such a kill shot to his heart. He smiled and returned his favor back to Maya,

"Thank you Maya.. I love you..!"

She didn't reply. During his return, inside a secret place of his soul, a doll-like girl was rolling on the ground with a red face.....

'You idiot..! Are you trying to kill me suddenly confessing like that..!?'

Her brain was in a deathmatch. She knew he wasn't saying he liked her romantically. But hearing the person she likes saying 'I love you' with a happy face was a pretty dangerous blow to her.....
