"How old are you, Amy?" Axel was now curious after watching her for a little bit longer.
That question got her attention again and her brows were raised upwards in what seemed a curious surprise. "I am 16, why are you asking?"
Now it was Axel's turn to look surprised.
"Wait, you aren't even 18 yet?" Axel was hella sure that Amy was around 20 in the show. But here she is not. That would make her a lot younger than her sister. Or was Andrea also younger?
These changes sure got him out of the blue. Guess he shouldn't feel all too comfortable with knowing most of the plot.
"What? Look who is talking, kid." She smirked a little at his response. "Why that surprised look? Do I really look that old?"
"No, it's not like that. I just thought you looked rather young for an adult. But to know that you are still underage is a little surprise." That made Axel, even more, resolved to keep her away from Dale.
If her age is really 16 then this old fella is really scratching it on thin ice to being a pedophile.
Amy saw him looking around when thinking something and chuckled a little.
"You dodged that pretty well.", she said.
"Not really. If you feel better about knowing the answer, then I should not hide it. You look very beautiful, so I got curious is all." Axel smirked and could play that game as well. His body may be a child's but his mind was obviously not.
That answer got a long stare from her as a response.
"You are a weird one." She smiled after her look and went back concentrating on the food. "But thanks for the compliment, little casanova. Do you always talk to girls like that?"
Axel only smirked, "Only to the ones that I really like." Damn, Axel kinda felt like some certain sand hating kid right now. Was it the same situation? Somewhat. But the same emotions? Not really.
Amy only sighed lightly. "You sure are brave enough saying all those things without even twitching a muscle. Make sure to not break girl's hearts with playing around."
"I am not really playing around. My mother told me to always treat girls as some precious gems."
Amy laughed now. "I see, then you should stop playing around or you may already start on the wrong path."
Axel only grinned at her in response and that somehow got her blushing when she noticed it. "Can you go and inform the others that food is ready?"
"Sure, will do." Axel stood up and walked to all the others.
"Tsk, what am I actually thinking right now. That little scoundrel." Amy was a little bit annoyed with herself to react like that but still had a small smile on her face. This little conversation somehow got her mood up that had been gloomy for a while.
Axel meanwhile walked to the people and told them to go grab something to eat.
But what surprised him was that the people seemed to ration food already. Only the ones that were currently the ones that should get food went over to grab some.
'Well, considering it was hard to run for supplies it made sense.'
While thinking about that a group of people approached the camp and saw him.
"Who are you?", asked an Asian man with a baseball cap and jersey.
Axel looked towards the person and saw one of the guys that he wanted to meet the most. It was really Glenn in the flesh.
"I am Axel Pierce, just arrived here today. And you are?"
"Glenn Rhee..." Glenn still looked at him but then got patted by another woman with long blond hair. The resemblance to Amy was clearly apparent.
"Glenn, what's the hold-up?", she asked and looked at Axel. "Hmm, who are you?"
Axel only smiled. "New kid. Name's Axel. By the way. Are you perchance related to Amy?"
That got her to raise her brows. "You sure made one good guess there. Yes, she is my little sister. My name is Andrea."
"Nice to meet you. Your sister is a very nice person." Axel smiled brightly now.
"Um? Thanks? Looks like you mixed along well." Andrea was not sure what to say at first and only got her attention back to Glenn.
"Let us unload the supplies first. People are probably starting to wonder how it went. See you later, kid.", said Andrea with a smile surfacing on her face this time.
"Wait, can I ask you something?" Before Glenn could go away with Andrea he was stopped by Axel.
Both of them started looking at him again and Andrea nodded and left after noticing he meant Glenn.
"Sure, what is it?", asked Glenn now.
"Just a small question. Is that a Macon cap? Did you perchance meet Lee? I think I heard him mention an Asian guy being in their group once."
At that question, Glenn raised both his brows and his eyes became bigger. "You know Lee? How are they doing?"
Axel smiled now. "They are doing fine. Last time they still were at the motel." At this point, Axel just bullshitted his way out. He only really tried to know if that group also existed in this world and it seems that was really the case.
Glenn started to smile brightly. "That is good to know. Are the kids safe?" He really is one of the good guys that were genuinely happy to see people come together, even if he lamented to go supply running with others because of the trouble that it brought.
"Duck(Kenny Jr.) and Clem(Clementine)? Both are doing great, I think. It has been some time since I last saw them.", answered Axel.
"So you are also from Macon?" Now Glenn seemed a little bit confused after thinking a little bit.
"No, just some relatives that lived there. When all this crap happened I was being babysitted there while my parents did their job in Atlanta. After things went south and supplies ran dry I sneaked myself away and came across the motel."
"I see, I am sorry that you had to go through so much..."
"It's alright, I am fine now...I didn't really find my parents in that hell of a city called Atlanta so I still got some hope...Even if I think that it is pointless. I guess if your parents become strangers for being long enough away from home you don't really feel much..."
"Hey, don't say something like that. We are still here so you should keep your chin up." Glenn tried to cheer him up even if this was just an act.
"I guess you are right. But I think I will rejoin the motel group after staying here a little bit."
"Are you sure? It is rather dangerous out there."
"Don't worry. If you travel alone it is manageable."
"I guess that is true, well...see you around?"
Axel only nodded and saw the group of supply runners walk towards the center of the camp, unloading the stuff they collected. By the looks, it was not really much.
After telling everyone that food was ready Axel sat down again and started thinking about how to do things.
His plan now was to go to King County and from there continue on to meet up with the Motel Survivors. Now that he knew they existed he really wanted to safe some of them.
Axel only gritted his teeth. Thinking about it made him angry. He could only be at one place at a time. Some would still die if he left at the wrong timing.
Maybe even if he stayed with a certain group, he could not always help out. Thinking about it made him feel a little bit worried. Now that he had humans to interact with, he did not like losing them.
Being alone sucked. He knew that first hand.
Guess he had to figure out and order his memories from the plot that he still could remember. Thing is, it was mostly all a little bit too foggy for him since he did forget a lot of things.
