Chapter 1 – A Princess? Am I? – (2/7)

She didn't know how it worked. She was an athlete, not a scientist. And even if you brought a scientist here, she wouldn't know either.

You wake up and you're in a world that looks like a cartoon? Can you explain it like in a sci-fi movie, "You know, quantum, things, science stuff...."?

Her common sense was already shattered by the fact that her body had been switched with someone else's. Instead of piecing it together with nonsensical theories, she had to think in terms of reality.

But how? What can she do?

Premise 1. This world is a cartoon.

'Let's put aside whether that's possible, but if it is, I need to think about the role of the character Kalia Anima in the comic, and how that comic.... and how it unfolded.'

The comic ran for nearly a decade, from before Hana entered elementary school until she was in middle school. It started in the '90s, ran through the 2000s, and recently got a webtoonization and a two-part series.

That wasn't what she should be thinking about right now.

'Kalia Anima. Kalia. She's definitely not the heroine. But her name is familiar. It means she was one of the main characters. So who the hell is she?'

Hana recalled her appearance in the mirror - Kalia's appearance. She was a child with long, black hair.

The characters in the comic are all in their late teens, so it's hard to tell what they looked like when they were younger, but luckily their hair was a clue. All the important characters in the comic have different hair tones.

'Black hair, black long hair, black hair.... Ah, the villainess!'

As he pondered, Hana suddenly remembered who the character Kalia was. She was the tormentor of the heroine in the story.

Hana searched her memory and recalled the plot of the comic.

The Heroin was a commoner, a fallen noble, or something in between. At a magic academy, an imperial prince falls for her, and various stories get mixed up.

Kalia was the most likely candidate to be the prince's wife. But when the prince fell in love with the heroine, she became jealous and tormented her.

She couldn't remember the details. First of all, it wasn't a good role in that she bullied the heroine.

Inexplicably, this character was popular among friends of Hana. Was it because she was pretty?

'If this world is perfectly like the comic, does that mean I'll end up bullying her later? And what if I don't? Will I be forced to?'

"Melan."

"Yes, young lady."

"At what age do you enter the Magic Academy?"

"Magic academy? Which academy are you referring to? Do you mean the National Aether Academy?"

"Uh-huh. That one."

Aether. Even the name was the same as the comic. This was enough to convince her that this was the same world as the comic's setting.

"Well, some students enter as early as sixteen. But if you want to enter a magic academy, you'll have completed your home education, so probably be around eighteen or nineteen."

"I see."

"Have you ever wanted to go to the academy?"

"Yeah. No. I was just thinking about this and that."

"I see."

Premise 2. This world is similar to the cartoon, but it's a separate world, not a coincidence.

It was also the direction Hana wanted to go. After all, she's alive. She didn't want her life taken away from her in the middle of it.

Maybe at some point she would be deprived of her freedom and move like a puppet as the 'character Kalia'.

On the other hand, her actions could change the future. This world could be a completely different world with the same background as the comic.

She wasn't sure yet. She didn't even know if she would ever be able to find out.

For now, words came out of her mouth and her hands and feet moved at will. Then there was work to do.

"I need to work out."

"Yes, my lady?"

"No. I was talking to myself."

Kalia's body was in really bad, even considering her young age. No wonder she had fainted!

Just looking at her calves and her hips, it was obvious how unhealthy she was. The calf is the second heart! It's supposed to pump blood to the upper body.

With such thin calves, her circulation is impaired and she faints easily! At this rate, she could pass out from orthostatic hypotension just by standing up from sitting down.

She didn't know how or why she was using Kalia's body now.

Maybe she'd already died in the accident, the one with the big bump on her head.

So what was this now? A second life? A Buddhist reincarnation?

She doesn't know. She wasn't even sure if she was Park Hana, the Korean version of herself. She had no way of verifying the truth of As Hana's memories.

But her arms are moving. She can think, she can speak. Then she did what she could do now.

When you move into a new house, the first thing you do is clean and organize it. By the same token, she had a new life, and the first thing she needed to do was take care of her body.

'Then maybe I'll be able to finish my dreams.'

Hana clapped her hands together. Even with her strength, her arms were still thin and weak. That didn't mean they would be tomorrow.

'Let's try.'

Humans are animals of adaptation. When the environment changes, we adapt to it.

In some cases, it was even able to do so through its own efforts. Park Hana, and from now on Kalia, was no different. She was still bewildered and confused, but that didn't stop her.

For now, relationships. She went back through her memories to get a sense of the original Kalia's personality and interactions.

She was childlike, curious, and a bit of a tantrum thrower. She had a hobby of collecting things, which changed frequently.

Her parents, Grand Duke and Duchess Amimus, were very disciplined and loving to their children. However, their love for their child was a little too much, and they raised her to be a pampered child.

No matter what she wanted, her parents would get it for her, so she never felt fulfilled. That's why the objects she collected quickly changed.
