Prologue

When I opened my eyes again, everything had changed.

"Your highness, congratulations! It's a baby girl!"

"Huh? Why isn't she crying? I-is something wrong?"

"No, she is fine but I don't know why she isn't crying."

It was very noisy when she got back to her senses. She was wrapped up in a soft cloth. She felt very weak and her body felt like an infant's, boneless.

Wait, infant?!

She tried hard to open her eyes and finally succeeded. What came into her sight was a magnified beautiful face of a woman. Although she looked very tired and haggard, it still couldn't hide her gorgeous looks.

Shiny, slivery white hair, ruby red eyes like jewels, flawless white skin paired with her current heart melting gentle and loving smile as she looked at me like looking at a precious treasure made her think that she was an angel.

God, was she now in heaven after dying? But why was everything so big around her? Is this what heaven looked like?

"Look, look. She opened her eyes. Wha- oh my! Her eyes, they are so pretty!"

"Dear, look. Her eyes are so pretty. She is looking at me."

"A pair of mismatching eyes, this....!"

"The legendary magical eyes..."

"The child...god...lo.."

She tried to listen to their voices but she couldn't hear very clearly, sometimes near sometimes far. Without her knowing, she fell asleep inside the warm embrace of the lady angel.

"Young...wake..."

A very gentle voice seemed to come from far away, blurry and incoherent.

"Young miss...wake.."

It got closer and closer, soft like a lullaby to her ears.

"Young miss, it's time to wake up." A crisp and clear female voice rang into her ears, finally sobering her up.

She slowly opened her eyes then squinted at the sudden bright light, taking her time to adjust to it.

A very spacious and luxurious room, white and sapphire blue painted walls with exquisitely painted purple coloured flower desgins. She was sitting on top of a big sized canopy bed with white lace curtains and soft bed sheets.

There were dressing table with a large ornate glass mirror,  bedside cabinet, lamps, bookshelve, treasure shelves, soft woolen carpets, paintings etc were beautifully decorated.

Turning her head to the side, she saw her personal maid, Zena looking at her with a gentle smile. Zena was only 15 years old and had soft, chestnut hair bundled into a bun on her head. She was a hardworking and capable maid.

The voice she heard just now was also hers.

"Good morning, Zena. What time is it right now?" She asked in a slightly hoarse and breathy voice after just waking up.

"Good morning, young miss. It's 6 in the morning. Would you like me to prepare the bath tub for you?" Zena asked as she folded the blanket neatly and straightened the creases in the bed after she got out of the bed.

"Yes, please." She answered.

"Then, please wait for a while and it will be done." Zena then went inside the bathroom attached to her room to prepare for her bath.

There were many attached rooms to hers that were made into her bathroom, toilet, dressing room and a drawing room as indicated by its name, where she drew paintings and sketches. They were also quite spacious and well furnished with necessary equipments.

After taking a long, refreshing bath and cleaning her mouth, she went inside her dressing room.

It was spacious with many wardrobes placed orderly, packed full with many dresses, jewelleries and shoes. Having gotten used to seeing this 'wonderful' sight for so many years, she just picked a white and light pink casual dress.

Zena and her other maid, Emma, also a young 15 years old girl with a light brown hair helped in dressing her up.

Sitting in front of the dressing table, she looked at the reflection of a small, cute doll-like little girl with a waist-long, glossy silvery white hair, a pair of big dazzling eyes with mismatched colours of ruby red and sapphire blue, silvery white eyebrows and eyelashes, fair and smooth white skin with a pink natural blush on the cheeks and small cherry lips.

A very beautiful sight to behold. It might sound exaggerating but just these words did no justice to describe her beauty. One couldn't even imagine how breathtakingly beautiful she would turn into after few nore years.

Everytime she saw her unfamiliar yet familiar face in the mirror, she would be reminded of how 8 years had passed after she suddenly turned from a 23 years old orphan from 21st century to a stunningly gorgeous princess of a kingdom in a western fantasy world.

Her name was Kikyu Tatsumi. She lost her parents at a young, tender age of 7 and lived together with her uncle's family who only took her in for the property her parents left for her.

She was still insensible and naive at that age so she was deceived by them and was kicked out of the house after she turned 16 years old.

She worked hard to find some part-time jobs and applied for scholarship in a school to continue her study. She struggled to survive independently in that fast-paced world without any support from relatives nor friends.

Fortunately, she wasn't pessimistic and just worked hard till she graduated and found herself a good job in a gaming company as a programmer.

She was very fond of animations and loved to draw. She watched anime, read manga and also had her own art blog which became popular in the Internet after many years.

One day, she stumbled upon an otome RPG game called [Magical Romance] that piqued her interest after having played so many games and tried it. Before she knew it, she had already become very fond of it and played it in her free times.

Just before her death, she finished collecting the last collection ultimate item [Sword of Zeus] then found herself reincarnated into that same game world, the world of Romania.

And her new identity was of the most miserable and pathetic villainess, Charlotte De Schneider!

The game took place in the Royal magic academy of the imperial capital after the MC, a commoner girl with rare light attribute enrolled into the academy full of children from noble and aristocratic families as well as royalties.

The players played as the MC and could choose different routes for different love interests and their choices lead to happy ending, sad ending and bad ending.

And every love stories needed an antagonist to further develop the feelings between the MC and the chosen love interests in the form of villainess or villain who tried to get between their romance and 'bully' the MC.

Charlotte was one of them and also was the strongest villainess. She had stunning beauty, high status, great talent, had rare dark attribute magic and was a genius in both magic and academics. She was like a prideful peony in a high peak.

The Schneider family was the family of great magic swordsmen, titled as the strongest sword of the Neil kingdom. Just mastering magic alone was very difficult to many not to speak of even mastering swordskills at the same time.

But Schneider family had that unique talent flowing through their bloodline which let them master both magic and swordskills thus named Magic swordsman.

The status and strength of the Schneider family was only second to the royal family in the Neil kingdom and had solid foundation. They were very loyal to the kingdom and had the control in the military power of the kingdom.

The knights carefully trained and nurtured by the Schneider family were called Black Magic Sword knights. They were seen as the greatest Knight squad in the whole country and had to go through vigorous trainings and examination to get accepted into the knight squad.

The current head of the Schneider family, Duke Schneider, Sebastian De Schneider was the sworn brother of the current 23rd King of the kingdom, Anastasius De Prometheus Lancaster.

Being spoiled by the love of both her family and her king uncle, Charlotte had a prideful and arrogant nature. And she had a crush on her cousin brother, the crown prince, Arthur De Augustus Lancaster.

Charlotte was the villainess of two different routes. One, the route of the crown prince, Arthur De Augustus Lancaster and two, the route of her big brother, the heir of Schneider family, Jeref De Schneider.

Whichever route the MC took and whatever the choices she made, Charlotte only had a dead end awaiting her in both routes. Hence, she was seen as the most miserable villainess.

And that same miserable villainess was her current identity.

But since the day she was reincarnated and born into this world, many things have changed.

Such as her eyes.

Charlotte in the game didn't have mismatched eyes but had beautiful sapphire blue eyes, the unique eye colour of the Schneider family.

But she was born with mismatched eyes of ruby red and sapphire blue.

The Charlotte in the game wasn't given the greatest honour of being titled as the honourable princess in her 1-years old ceremony by the King but she did.

The Charlotte in the game didn't have an innate magical physique which was the most unique physique that only 1 person had before. And that person was a legend millions of years ago. The information about the physique was long lost in time and the books only recorded it as the best physique for a magician.

Of course this was a secret that she never told to anyone, not even her family, for now.

As for how she found out? Well, this was also something the Charlotte in the game never had..

A system.

Her existence caused many changes to the story plot since the whole beginning. So she believed that with all these cheat-like powers she gained after her reincarnation, she could definitely change her fate and not end up like the Charlotte in the game.

No, the Charlotte in the game and her were completely different individuals. So her fate was something that belonged only to herself and not something controlled by the story plot.

She, Charlotte De Eleanor Schneider was determined to write her own fate in this whole new world!
