Using The Ultimate Weapon

"Where am I? Whose fucking baby is crying?

"Is this hell? Aaah! My ears. Stop crying, you crazy baby. Stop yelling in my ears"

After sleeping peacefully for two hours he woke and opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was the thatched roof of an old house. He realised that he was no more an 'existence with only a conscious soul' but with a body, he could feel sensations all over his body. He thought, "Someone surely saved me from the jaws of death but I'm either paralysed or gravely injured. Argh! This intermittent headache is killing me."

"I cannot move, my head is still fuzzy and I cannot even think properly but when I get fully healed, I'll pay them back ten times more. No, a thousand times more. Just you wait Ugly Boss Zhang, Ungrateful Bamboo...Dang! What's his name? I cannot recall, forget it, I, Arthur Fang won't leave anyone of you."

"Hey! Is there anyone nearby? I thank you for saving me but I am a little too hungry and I cannot move my body so please come and help," he cried out sincerely.

Instead of his voice coming out, a sharp and high pitch cry of a wailing baby pervaded the entire room shocking him greatly and before he could process anything that was transpiring around him, a huge face of a beautiful giant woman appeared in front of him. She then lifted him on her arms with care and affection and started breastfeeding him. While he was hungrily suckling the milk a realisation of everything that he went through dawned upon him. No sooner than the milk started nourishing his body, his head became clearer and clearer. He finally understood what has taken place and what is happening around him.

"I was shot dead, my soul went to a resting place for some time and now I'm reborn again into this world. I wonder if I'm in the same era or the future time."

"Great! This is great, getting a chance to start all over again with intact memories of the past."

"Hmm! I'll live my life to the fullest. I won't be making the same mistakes that I have committed in my past life and with the past life's experiences, this life will be better. It is a good beginning."

"Come! I'm looking forward to leading a good life ahead," he motivated himself and snoozed again.

Time went on and his life was very comfortable, it revolved around napping, suckling and contemplating. In the meantime, he learned that his mother's name is Zhao Mei and his father's name is Lu Xiang. His old grandfather, the Clan's chief who visits him often with a huge smile on his face is Lu Donghai. Their clan lived in a small village near Forbidden (Jinzhi) Forest. The clan consisted of around 100 people and their livelihood depended mainly on selling timber, herbs and byproducts obtained from hunting. The village didn't have a proper name for a long time. Initially, it was popularly known as Forbidden village but most of the people in the village were woodcutters and Huntsman by profession. Hence, Woodsman village became its official name.

Inside the Lu clan's council hall, where every adult of the village gathered around for the celebration of Arthur's naming ceremony, a deep voice echoed throughout the hall silencing the buzz of the crowd. With a broad smile on his face, he announced, "Greetings, beloved people of our Woodsman village. Since all of you know that we have gathered here today on this 10th day of my grandson's birth to celebrate his naming ceremony and conduct his innate talent testing ritual, I request all the respective clan elders of our village to generously bestow blessings upon my dearest grandchild." With that, Lu Donghai lifted Arthur on the air as a form of ritual and wrapped him with Water-Emperor-silkworm cloth. "My grandson shall be called Lu Sansan," he declared and placed him on a stone platform.

Suddenly, the stone platform glowed and started to vibrate vigorously. Then an overpowering spiritual power erupted out from Arthur's body and began to spread throughout the hall restraining all the people inside the hall. Every one of them was shocked and thought, "Sansan is this powerful?"

Lu Yehan, village 2nd elder who has the keenest spiritual eye amongst all, differentiating the anomalies taking place, shouted in alarm, "Chief Hai (Lu Donghai)! Some powerful ancient soul is trying to possess the body of the child."

Immediately, hearing the warning, Lu Donghai who was near the child leapt forward and quickly activated the stone platform. The stone glowed with green light and enveloped Arthur completely hiding him from everyone's view.

"All of you! Leave the room, let us, the older generation handle this issue." Lu Yehan ordered.

Being the nearest of the explosion beside Arthur he faced the first burnt of the overpowering ancient soul. Donghai coughed out blood nonstop but he still tried to pry his spiritual power towards the green barrier to save his grandson but to no avail.

Seeing the red eyes and the condition of Lu Donghai, Bai Dong, the Bai Clan's Chief spoke, "Old Hai, it is up to Sansan now, whether he fails or overcome this trial depends on his willpower alone. We cannot do anything now, let's pray for the child and wait."

With teary eyes, Donghai mumbled, "Sansan, grandpa is useless. I'm sorry my dearest grandson, don't give up, stay strong and come out alive."

2nd Elder Lu Yehan tapped his hand on Donghai's back and while transferring spiritual energy to access and heal the injury, consoled, "Chief Old Hai, don't worry Sansan will survive this ordeal. With the stone platform trapping the evil soul and Water-Emperor-Silkworm cloth protecting Sansan, no harm will befall him."

Hearing that, Lu Donghai calmed down a little bit and replied, "That's right, that's right, those things will surely protect him" and he tried to pacify himself although he didn't believe his own words entirely.

On the other hand, when Zhao Mei-ling and Lu Chao-Xiang saw their only child in danger both of them sprang towards the stone platform to protect him. Upon facing the surge of spiritual power directly impacting their body, they fainted on the spot. The shockwave of the spiritual power they underwent was comparatively lesser than what Lu Donghai endured but they were weaker in cultivation than their old man and thus their trauma was even more grievous. Not only them but many elders of the Lu clan standing near the stone platform fainted and a few sustained some minor injuries with their souls rattled.

Seeing the misfortune of the Lu Clan, Liu Longwei, chief of the Liu clan remarked, "Old Hai, do not worry, with your clan's ultimate treasures you'll be able to solve this predicament easily. Since the celebration is stalled, we shall visit some other time". He then bowed and left with his clan.

" We also shall not disturb you in your clan's matter", saying that Bai Dong and his team left too. Which was then followed by many other visitors leaving the Lu clan alone.

Finally, the hall was vacated except for the three clan elders and Sansan. It was a precarious situation yet to overcome this ordeal, all they could do was nothing but to wait for the spiritual battle of the souls to come to an end by themselves.

After a minute, Lu Donghai who went out to fetch the clan's ultimate weapon from the treasury rushed inside the clan hall and yelled, "Elder Yehan, we are going to save Sansan by any means, assist me to active Soul-Pincer-Rainbow-Dash and kill this bastard".

" No, Chief Hai we cannot do that. We have already activated the trap of the Stone platform and Water-Emperor-Silkworm cloth will now be incorporated into Sansan's body and soul to protect him. With two clans' treasures gone, we are only left with Rainbow-Dash. We cannot use all of our clan treasures on Sansan", protested Lu Taio, the first elder.

"Chief Hai, don't get misled by Liu Longwei when he said that we can solve this problem easily using our treasures, he wanted us to deplete all our clan treasures. If we use Rainbow-Dash we will be equal in terms of power with the Liu clan and with their clan's relation with Solitary Peak Academy, they will start to suppress us subsequently. Even the Bai clan will start to exert pressure over us and we will lose our footing, especially on disputed markets. Sansan is our child and we want to save him but think about the clan first", added, Lu Fang, the third elder.

Lu Donghai grumbled angrily against the first and the second elder, "If your grandsons were in Sansan's place will you say those words?"

Although his words were not refuted by those two elders, he knew that he cannot decide on his own regarding matters of Rainbow-Dash, thus he looked at Lu Yehan.

Lu Yehan thought for half a minute and said, "Liu clan's chief is surely sly in advising us to use our ultimate weapon. But, If we use it we will be able to solve this crisis so we must use it immediately. Since this ancient soul is very powerful, have you thought that if it possesses Sansan then what shall befall our clan? Do you think that the ancient evil soul will leave our clan in peace after that?"

He then added, "Yes, with Rainbow-Dash gone, we will be on equal footing with Liu Clan both in manpower and overall financial strength. The friction in the marketplace with the Bai clan will also be more troublesome than before. Generally, our standing in the village will lessen but total suppression of our clan by the Liu clan is not altogether possible. They have the support of an elder of Solitary Peak Academy. However, Solidarity Peak Academy doesn't involve themselves in clan disputes so they won't be able to do much of what you people fear. Regarding, the Bai clan we will just give up the disputed market area and offer an alliance with them. If they accept cooperation with us it would be the best but even if they reject it they'll surely agree to make peace with us. It was in the interest of both their clans to suppress us because we were the most powerful among the three. Thus, our policy of conduct was also not to overexert too much dominance on other clans to avoid becoming public enemy number one. By following the clans' dealings with one another and interpreting the indications exercised by those two clans I think the status quo will still be maintained and there won't be much change and it is just that we have to be more careful in future."

Lu Donghai cried, "Let's solve this crisis first and deal with the rest."

The truth was laid out before them, therefore without further protest, the duo also agreed to use their clan's ultimate weapon. Soon, they activated the Soul-Pincer-Rainbow-Dash which ignited up the entire hall with different colours of the rainbow and after doing everything that could be done to help Sansan, they waited for the result.

"Sansan is saved," Lu Donghai let out peacefully.

"Chief Hai, your family has dragged our clan to slump. How are you going to take responsibility?" Complained Lu Taio, the first elder who was then supported by Lu Fang, the third elder.

Lu Yehan, the second elder rebuked, "Lu Taio, you always wanted the position of the clan chief and so you are deliberately putting all the blame on chief Old Hai's shoulders. Are you suggesting that it is Sansan's fault to be attacked by that powerful evil soul?"

Before anyone could reply, Lu Donghai announced, "Whether it is my family's fault or not, this is not for you Old Taio to decide but I cannot deny that this crisis has happened under my leadership and because of my insufficient strength to protect our clan member, I have brought our clan to lose our ancestral weapon. Thus, I take this responsibility on my hand and step down from the position of the clan chief."

"Old Hai you cannot..," cried Lu Yehan but was stopped by Lu Donghai by saying," I have already decided. Also, I don't want our clan members to have disputes over this minor issue which may consequently allow other clans to have a possibility to meddle and divide amongst us. We have already seen enough and our future troubles won't be easy, we need to unite more than ever."

Even though Lu Yehan was unhappy, seeing the predicament of the Lu clan, he understood what chief Old Hai is getting at and why he decided to step down. He knew that if Old Hai doesn't step down Lu Taio and Lu Fang will never let go of this opportunity and bring the clan to conflict and disrupt the unity among clan members. He kept quiet after understanding the wisdom behind the clan chief's words.
