The vengeful God in another world is me?! Wasn't it just a game?!

‘How did this happen’ The young man, practically a boy, looked at the scene in front of him. In just one glance it was possible to see dozens of people, more closely he was sure there could be hundreds or thousands of people prostrating themselves in front of him. From the center of the city square to the adjacent streets in front of the temple, with a frightening similarity to what happened in the Vatican when the Pope gave a speech. The young man sitting on a throne too big for him, inside a marble temple he could see expressions of happiness, reverence, gratitude and in some a small hint of fear. Not that he paid much attention to the others, his attention was mainly drawn to the group directly below the throne. This group was made up of people of various ages, from old men with gray and wrinkled hair, but with strangely healthy bodies and postures upright like poles, to young people of various ages including children. What this group in particular had in common was their expression, which could only be described as fanatical as they looked at the young man. The only thing that was going on in the young man's head, with all this excessive attention, was simply... ‘How did things get like this?!!!! I was just playing a game!!!!’ In a room in an ordinary apartment, in an ordinary city. A seemingly ordinary young man could be seen lying in bed with a cell phone on his chest. The cell phone was on and showing scenes from what appeared to be a game. With a small and intriguing coincidence that the young man sitting on a huge throne inside a marble temple was completely identical to the sleeping young man. ********************************************** Thanks to ImagineArt for the image

28. Battle Against Goblins 4

'Ugghhh, that was really bad.'

Matt thought, getting up with difficulty after having jumped from his pole after the huge green creature leading the goblins launched an attack through the goblins, and even cut a part of his pole making him fall. One of the first things Ivan taught him was how to mitigate the impact of a fall, but there's a difference between doing that in the forest and in the city, which ended up with him feeling a little dizzy but without any injuries.

The same could no longer be said for the phalanx line, almost the entire right side was destroyed with some dying instantly while others were extremely injured. But they didn't have time to count who was what, so the wave of goblins came rushing over the fallen ones and behind those who were still standing, this made the spearmen behind enter the battle even more, worsening any appearance of organization that it had before.

Fortunately, the goblins weren't many, but they fought with more ferocity than a cornered injured animal, in an eratic and unpredictable way, which created fissures in the defenses that some goblins exploited without delay, some gave more deadly blows while others passed the line of defense and tried to reach to non-combatant groups. The spearmen were able to prevent it, but this opened up even more gaps that more goblins used until reaching a stalemate due to the lack of goblins compared to the spearmen.

This impasse was easily resolved, some of the goblins that seemed to have fled ended up returning when they saw the green monster make that blow, in addition to them, some goblins that were hiding in the holes came out and started attacking along with those that remained. Of the defenders there were just over 100 humans with spears, boars, swords and shields, while on the goblin side, including the largest and the green monster, there should not have been more than 80 even with reinforcements.

But these 80 all fought as if they were possessed, or as if they were terrified, either way Matt was sure of one thing. If they finished off the green monster, all the other goblins would collapse, the problem was how to do that.

The mini-behemoth would already be a difficult opponent alone but he was riding a corrupted hybrid creature accompanied by 4 strong goblins and also riding war boars, these would be the most difficult group to take down, more than any creature Matt had ever helped to win. But he didn't have time to worry about that now.

"Aaaahhhhh"

To his left, one of the lancers fell with a stone knife stuck in his thigh and a goblin with a bone club (a femur possibly from a bear) was preparing to be hit in the head, while further in the background similar scenes were repeated at least 3 times . Matt soon put two arrows in his bow and fired them, hitting the first goblin's head and the second's throat, he took the dagger from his belt and threw it at the third's eye but he knew he was too far away to do anything for the fourth.

Which didn't stop him from at least trying, he soon took the arrow from the first goblin's head and prepared to shoot, but before he could do so, the goblin's hand was cut off and soon the head also followed. The person responsible for this feat was a straight silver sword without adornments or anything like that, but clear and uniform, being handled by Hannah who had appeared almost by magic.

"What are you doing here, didn't they ask you to take care of Constance?!" Matt said, approaching after having dragged the fallen spearmen to the back of the nearby house.

"At the moment they wouldn't help much by staying with her, so I came to help as best I could now. And to be clear, she asked me to do this herself." Hannah responded with the sword resting on her shoulder as if she had been using it for years.

"Aaaahhhhh, ok but remember to stay out of the file's line of fire, many of them still don't have good aim."

"Yeah, it even makes it seem like you're so much better than them when you talk like that."

The two looked at each other and smiled, then more goblins came towards the two who promptly responded with arrows and backs of swords and 3 more goblins fell.

"There are several that find gaps and head towards the square, it would be good if you-"

"I already took care of them by coming here, why do you think I'm here now?" She said without taking her eyes off the front but keeping her ears attentive to everything around her.

"And how are things elsewhere?"

"Not much different from here." She replied, soon after they heard the sound of breaking wood in time to see another archer post giving way after being cut, with the difference that in this case the cut was not mitigated by a mob of goblins in front or spearmen with shields, making with the cutting continuing to a nearby house.

Some stray lancers still ended up getting hit lightly, but not to the point where they ran the risk of losing their arm, however during a battle this is a serious injury that the goblins wasted no time in going after those injured. Only for everyone ended up with arrows in their foreheads.

"Tsch, this bastard isn't even attacking with aim, he's just cutting aimlessly for fun." Ivan said getting up.

"Master, what should we do about those there?" Matt asked bapktado to the group of goblins.

"What we've been doing so far, we're going to separate them and tire them out and then I'm done with them." Ivan said, checking his bow and cleats, as he did so he noticed the sword that Hannah was holding.

"Do you think it's a good idea to use this now?"

She looked at the sword on her shoulder, thought for a moment and shrugged.

"It was 'he' who sent it, so it must be to be used, and considering the state of things, it's good that 'he' did it and even better that I'm wielding it. After all, who's a better swordsman, well swordawoman, here. Other than myself ?" She asked confidently.

And she wasn't wrong, while most young people were playing with branches as if they were swords, Hannah learned how to actually use a sword from her mother, a mercenary. But unlike most, she was what could be called an "honorable mercenary" and not only that, she was one of the best warriors recognized in the kingdom.

That's why she decided to settle in a small peaceful village in the middle of nowhere to raise her daughter, thus reducing the dangers she could encounter while growing up. This plan ended well and Hannah ended up becoming a better swordsman than she expected, leaving her comfortable leaving her in the care of the village while she went back to doing her jobs that often took months, sometimes even years.

Be that as it may, Hannah knew how to use a sword well, specifically a long sword, which was exactly the same type of sword that 'he' had sent her days ago and with the situation getting worse Hannah decided that instead of just sitting next to her friend, she she should do something that would stop the danger from coming near her at once.

He took the sword from Barton's workshop and went straight to fight, on the way some goblins were closer than would be ideal and he didn't think twice before cutting the necks of everyone he found until he found Matt and brought the current situation to a head.

They couldn't continue the conversation for long as soon the green monster with the mounted goblins started moving again and got closer, one of the injured spearmen ended up being close to the monster who, after giving a single glance at the young man, He grabbed him by the broken arm and sank his teeth into his throat while he was still screaming.

After slowly chewing and swallowing the piece he had taken, he simply let go of the young man's body and looked at the other humans, and smiled.

A sickly, red smile that sent both fear and disgust from the creature. Matt, Hannah and Ivan shared at the same time that even though they didn't know how they were going to end up with that despicable and horrible creature.
