Chapter 2: The Meeting

I saw my mother lying there on the ground with a knife sticking out of her groin. She was barely breathing. She had multiple wounds on her body. I ran to her and tried to put pressure on the wound. It did not help. Blood kept coming out.

"Mom, hang on. I will get something to help you."

"No, you must get away from here. I am done for. I know you will survive because I am your mother. I raised you to be strong and fight for your life and freedom. No one can stop you."

"Mom! Please! Don't leave me!" I cried.

"Live..live for... me"

My mother breathed her last and she died in my arms. I held her head for a while and cried. I wished she could stay. I wish she would live so I can make her proud. I wished to make the people who did this to PAY.

Just when I was there stroking her hair, I felt a rumble in the ground. I looked ahead and saw an army coming closer. I knew they were coming to see if there were any deceased, so I said goodbye to mom and ran into the forest. I kept running. Ahead in the road, I saw an oncoming carriage. I waved it down and got on it quickly. I escaped sudden death and I vowed to find and hunt the people that killed my mom.
